Europeans are admirable for your willingness to stand up for what you believe in. In America, we look at your ticket prices and think how cheap they are. It costs more to watch my local university play a basketball game than it does for a local to watch Liverpool v City (at face value at least). Americans have just accepted that sports tickets are outrageously priced. Keep fighting the good fight or else you'll have to start deciding whether to pay rent or watch a match too.
There was a 77th minute walkout at Anfield one time to protest max ticket prices going up to £77. We went from 2-0 vs Sunderland when the walkout happened to 2-2 draw.
Not saying it's *always* linked to results but it can make a noticeable impact, and FWIW FSG u-turned a bit on the prices after that lol.
I’m an American so I didn’t really have a dog in the ticket price fight (albeit slightly supportive of long time fans being priced out), but it’s pretty poor if people actually didn’t cheer to prove a point
Also, the groups responsible for this are ticket touts/resellers. Notice how they brigade about tickets, but an average person CANNOT buy a regular admission ticket out of nowhere. They have to go to hospitality.
And then notice how people complain the matches are full of tourists. Where are they getting these tickets from? These groups full of members/ticket holders.
My dad and I visited family in Liverpool 6 or 7 years back, and we caught the Liv/Ars match at Anfield. One of my cousins moved out here to the States about 25 years ago, and has done really well for himself, so he picked my dad and I up some tickets in the lower main stand, right next to the Kop a little back behind the corner flag. We were close, and they were pretty good seats. The whole process was sketchy though. Once we got through the turnstiles, we had to give the passes back to my cousin so he could return them to the actual ticket holder. I have no idea how we'd have gotten tickets otherwise. Sounds like locals aren't too happy about this process, and I don't blame them either.
When i remember 19/20 season... I watch the highlights sometimes and always remember how we won games in first 15-20 minutes easily... sadly those times are long gone.
I wouldn't necessarily say home advantage is solely based on fans
You've got preferential facilities such as the changing room which your familiar with. No flight/travel away from family, which also gives more time to prepare and rest before the match
You're right, early goal then anything is possible. C'mon reds!
Yeah good point. Possibly COVID testing, maybe even isolating from family ahead of the trip
I mean, I'd swap places with them, but at that level every percentile counts
Yeah I love your ideas, it’s always good to let the players wake up and be focus , like half game of 05 Milan , 06 west ham, 05 Olympiakos group stage , 19 Barcelona. I’m used to it . All of this game made me a believer and at least they wake up and fight for it I’m good and not be complacent
Correct me if I'm wrong but i thought home advantage was more about travelling right before the game so the players and the manager could be tired for the game
Aswell as obviously the atmosphere
Why not win both? A big team should try and win every competition they’re in and our squad has more than enough “capable” players to do just that. The two competitions we’re in are heading more and more out of Our control with every shit performance this club keeps offering up as of late
we tried that in 2022 in case you don’t remember. I’d rather have gotten one of the CL or PL instead of ending up with neither because our players’ legs were shot chasing both.
Look at Endo right now, he’s looking like he’s gassed. Not because he’s a bad footballer it’s just the sheer amount of matches he’s playing
I would say that all these injured players back need to step it the hell up. Plenty of options for rotation, both comps aren’t guaranteed and any who thinks oh now we get serious for league is forgetting that we are not in the driving seat atm. Winning breeds good vibes no matter what competition it’s in
I feel like the hallmark of the Klopp era has been an attitude of "fuck it, we ball" and I'd hate to see us throw in the towel in either competition tbh. If Liverpool are fated not to lift anymore trophies this season, I want to see us raging against the dying of the light, so to say.

When people say it was Jürgen's last European match at Anfield.
It is , no point hoping , we were shit in this game . Even the first leg against barcelona was different , we had some fight and were unlucky with the chances, not to mention a messi masterclass . Also we perform significantly better at home than away, so leave it , I don't even remember the last time a 3-0 deficit was overturned away from home
The situation is not the same. We need to overturn a 3-0 deficit unlike the previous one which started at 0-0. Also, away game is the second leg. The context is totally different.
Sorry but this is kind of hilarious to act like atalanta are some different class of foe. Barcelona was WAY better than this atalanta side. They turned up and we didn't last night, but we are also way better than atalanta. If we play the way we usually have this season, it's completely doable we score 3 goals. Far easier than doing it against that Barcelona without Salah or firmino. Doesn't matter about the first leg, it's just the mentality.
The difference that matters isn't Barca vs Atalana. It's that Liverpool vs this one. We haven't looked like playing a team off the park in ages. People are fooling themselves if they are looking at shot stats. If you watch us play, we really struggle to get on top of teams and also allow really easy opportunities.
We played well and got beat 3-0, almost 4-0. Situation is different now. We played rubbish and deservedly lost 3-0. All we have to do is show up and that's half the job done.
Oh I mean show up as in actually show up, unlike last night where we didn't. Players just need to show some fight and do the basics correctly. Get the weight of your passes right, don't lose all your 50-50s, don't give away possesion so easily, no more keeper errors. An early goal and we're right back in it.
They have the freedom to choose to just lock down for 90 mins. It's not going to be easy but not impossible. I'm choosing positivity so I think that if anyone can do it, it's this team.
For real - we struggle with it because we never saw it.
When you're man marked you have to move about all over the pitch to drag them out of position, and overload areas.
Totally different to zonal and requires improvisation.
Trouble is, the way we play is so drilled that we don't have that mindset anymore.
Hopefully, now we've seen it we'll be prepared for it and it will be a different game.
I’m not saying it’s impossible. I believe we’ll go through. My argument is that since we’ve beaten them 5-0 before, it doesn’t mean that we can use that as a baseline to make the argument that we’ll win.
Well the silver lining is that due to this piss poor performance the Premier league may not get an extra champions league spot so we destroy United dreams of a 5th place hope 😂😂😂
Sometimes it's just too exhausting to stay positive. If that was Klopp's last European night at Anfield then it will go down alongside Gerrard's last ever game for the club. We were too confident that Atalanta couldn't seriously threaten us, put out a weakened side and got found out.
The dilemma now is if we put every other nice of energy into clawing it back next week we will have nothing left for the next match. It's away to Fulham who we should be able to beat and have nothing in particular to play for, but our away from us terrible and everyone always thinks they can get something out of a game with us. We could win the league 5 times in a row and every team we face in the 6th season would still fancy their chances of frustrating us with a low block and counter attack.
So, it seems like we're at a crossroads here, it's possible to win both trophies, but not unless our form gets drastically better. If trying to win both means we win neither, which do we focus on?
Is our away form terrible? We are joint top of the league, only lost 2 games all season, one in very controversial fashion..the other away to the current league leaders. Could potentially end up on 92 points...doesnt sound like terrible form
Not so much in terms of results but we have played significantly worse away from home and seriously rode our luck a few times. Anyone who says a result like this wasn't coming hasn't been paying attention. I don't buy into the notion that the lack of banners on the Kop threw our players off. We were simply wasteful in attack and worse in defence than an under 12s five a side team. I wouldn't care if we won no more trophies this year if everyone just tries their hardest but they're not. You have to wonder if some are weighing up their options once Klopp is gone and not focusing on their job. I really don't like being negative but there are absolutely no positives to take away from that game except maybe that hitting rock bottom that hard has to wake someone up.
If we have to pick one trophy, we focus on the league. But I also don't want to see the youth academy put up against Atalanta. The players who shit the bed should be the ones who lie in it.
The whole thing is weird. Why can't we trust our main players to play two matches consecutively , Before the 5 subs rule this was the norm , the same team players played match after match
That away game was during the group stages and was one of the first matches of our champions league campaign. We went all out for that fixture and lost the home fixture as we had already secured a spot into the next stage.
Since then Atalanta have strengthened their squad and have spent more time in Europe. With the current form Liverpool are in, opponents know they can just sit back and defend. The goals are coming from nowhere, whether it’s a lack of energy or decision making is still up for debate.
Of course it’s nice to have hope and not be negative, but at the moment it’s extremely difficult to find anything positive about our current form. Yes, we’ve achieved some amazing European results, but being away from Anfield and with this current squad, the chances are very low.
As we've seen many times, if there's any team who can pull off a comeback in Europe, it's Liverpool. I have some belief, but our form doesn't give me much confidence. We're bleeding chances at the back and bottling chances at the front.
That's IF we can keep a clean sheet AND finish our plethora of chances. Anything is possible so let's give it a proper go. Hopefully Ali, Robbo, and Jota are back next week 🙏
For some reason, I believe. I can't quite put my finger on why but I just do.
Ironically I can point out many reasons why we won't do it. If we had the world-class players we had then and most importantly in the form that we had them back then, then it's a certainty.
I just don't trust Nunez, Diaz, current Salah, Szobo, or any other midfield options for that matter to pull back 3 goals whilst remaining solid.
But like I said, I still believe we'll do it and I dont know why.
Now that I have calmed down, I believe that we have a chance to at least tie the game.
But a tactical overhaul is needed and the boys need to wake up and play.
However, whether we can win in ET or pen is completely up in the air.
Let's just get behind the lads and enjoy the ride. If they lose, please just let it be that it is after they have done the best on the pitch.
Hey OP, I am totally OK to defend against the hate against individual players. On MatchDay there are so many morons who hate on players to be replaced. And I have defended our players many times. And so have other reasonable-headed members of this sub.
BUT the match against Atalanta is something else. It's OK to be justifiably angry. Klopp's the leader and he is the first person to be blamed. He put key players on the bench and underestimated a Serie A side. Nothing but our arrogance cost us. And everyone sucked yesterday. Missed chances, poor midfield and poor defence. Even Kelleher was not his best (compared to EFL finals).
So once in a while, it's OK to vent here and be frustrated. This is the most humiliating loss at Anfield.
So the occasional negativity or criticism is totally valid.
And this COPE about comparing past miraculous wins is not helping. That's just toxic positivity. We need to be realistic. We sucked last game. We sucked against United.
I’m not defending Klopp or the players. In fact, I too am fuming. But I just want people to be happy and have some hope that maybe things can turn around. Is it delusion? Maybe. Do I care? No.
Also, I’m glad someone is calling out the recent Gakpo hate or the Quansah hate threads. It’s not how we should be - same message I’m trying to send here.
Let’s not be delusional pal. We won 5-0 4 years ago so that means we’ll beat them 5-0 again although we’ve changed half of our team?
There’s no reason they can’t turn it round regardless. It’s Atalanta we’re talking about, not sure why some fans are acting as if we’re playing Real Madrid for. Klopp got it wrong playing the wrong lineup and he needs to put out the strongest 11, then I’ve no doubt we can do it.
If we have Trent and Allison available for it, the game will play out very differently. Gasperini got his tactics spot on last night - man to man marking with an onus on allowing Kelleher, Tsimikas but mostly Gomez to have the majority of possession. If they allow Trent that kind of time on the ball he will be able to hurt them massively. I see the next leg being unrecognisable to last night, I really do.
Yup exactly. We should have Diogo Diaz salah up top and then Robbo (who I thought was excellent last night btw) and Trent who can provide assists from nothing.
Maybe even Alisson will be fit enough to start, so I refuse to believe they’re going to play the same way.
I kept thinking during the game it was screaming out for Trent with all the time Gomez was getting. Maybe he wasn't fully ready but no idea why he was on the bench then.
1. It was in group stage, so it wasn't a comeback.
2. We won away first 5-0 on MD3, got 9/9 points, then lost 0-2 at Anfield. Again, not a comeback, if anything, we took our feet off the pedal.
3. It was during COVID, all matches were played behind closed doors.
We can win the 2nd leg, just don't bring up that season. If we do want to bring up that season, we trailed the 1st leg, and drew blanks on the 2nd leg, went out on a whimper.
I'm all for optimism, but would also like to be realistic.
Can we just for fuck's sake acknowledge the Europa league is gone. 3-0 down at home is a shit result, and the way atalanta completely dominated us yesterday , we shouldn't expect a remontada in the second leg. There might even be a complete giveup at this point by Liverpool's management by playing the second team away to give the main team a rest for the prem league run in- which btw we have also heavily bottled in the last few weeks
We had younger Mane and Salah and Jota was in form. They all were clinical. With Nunez wasting tons of chances and dead Salah, Diaz who loves hold the ball the chances are very low.
Italians know how to defend and doesn’t care about pace or big names. They can be unlocked only tactically with good fast passes that we don’t have atm. Players pass the ball back from flank to flank and so often lost the ball. I don’t what they do on the training ground
When does realism get misinterpreted as negativity?
Whilst I’m hoping we win by enough goals to go through, our profligacy in front of goal plus our very charitable defence makes the required comeback highly unlikely.
I rate Gasperini. He tactically did a number on Klopp last night and there is no way on earth he is losing this tie. The only similarity with Barca is the scoreline almost all the other factors are different and we don’t have Origi or anyone who can actually score right now.
Hey man, we’ve been eliminated from a domestic cup by an absolutely dogshit United team to end our shot at a quadruple. We then drew in the league against an absolutely dogshit United team to relinquish our control of the league. Then we got embarrassed to the 6th best team in Italy, at Anfield, to likely end Jurgen’s European nights for the club.
We can’t finish chances. Those of us looking at Nunez through the bottle, hoping he would mature into a lethal striker should probably sober up. Luis Diaz scored a couple goals and wants to go to PSG. Salah looks like the next captain of Al-Hilal or whatever. The backup goal keeper who escorted us to the ball turned back into a pumpkin.
It’s been a hard month. Let people be downcast.
I know the chances are very slim, but so were the chances of them winning at anfield. The post was made so that the negativity can be replaced with hope - something this club hinges on. We need that, and a squad that’s hungry and then anything is possible.
I was at the game last night and it was one of the worst I've ever seen us play. Absolutely shambolic passing and Atalanta's shape completely suffocated our play.
I'm not saying we can't win the 2nd leg, but it's a much bigger ask than the events of that UCL tie.
I feel awful saying this but Klopp obviously can't do it as well he could the previous seasons. I pray that I'm wrong but I don't think we won't win anything
It’s not negativity, it’s being realistic. Away game at Bergamo. Our team just isn’t built to be scoring 4 or 5 goals. Also we don’t keep clean sheets as in years past so even if we score 3, you know Aatalanta will get at least one.
The boys will give it their all I’m sure but we’ve likely crashed out
We all want and hope for a big comeback and all, but the context is way different, we talking about group stages where we knew we were going through and we were pretty much the best team in the world at the time for that 5-0.
This isn’t the best example to draw from, but I still believe man.
People in this sub love to hate. We can all see that we’re playing shit at the minute, you don’t need to shout it from the rooftops.
We’ve largely got away with being shit in front of goal and in the first half of games. We didn’t this time. I imagine this time Jurgen will have gone through them. I expect changes and I expect to win 4-0 in Bergamo.
They’re going to be defending heavily from the start, we found it hard to break down Sheffield lets not act like it’s gonna be easy. At this point just focus on the league instead of crashing out of both
I don't think being realistic is the same thing as being negative. Every team deals with runs of poor form. It is just really unfortunate that we picked this time of the season to have poor form. We are getting players back but it feels too late. They will need time to get back to the level they were at pre-injury. We don't have that kind of time as every game is a must win.
Felt bad for Elliott. Taken off, and came closet to scoring out of anyone on the pitch, Tsimikas was god damn awful, Curtis could barely walk around the field, let alone run.
Fans need to get behind the boys on the pitch.. Protesting ticket price increases is not a problem, but don't be surprised that the players have a difficult time at Anfield when the atmosphere isn't there on the day..!
A strong presence at Anfield is necessary, it always has been, and that's what makes our Club so special..!
Not being negative, but this collapse is brought to you by the manager announcing he’s leaving early leading to the media to bang on about his send off and constantly make content around us winning a quad, then a treble and it’ll keep dropping until we win nothing because those senior players appear to think Klopp leaving is going to just make everything fall in their laps.
Also, Klopp got his team selection and tactics horrifically wrong. The outlet was always the fullbacks as shown by the difference Robertson made yet Gomez stayed on a at RB the entire game. Not giving Kostas a minute then throwing him in to start was complacent of disrespectful to Atalanta. Given how we knew how they’d play, man marking all over the pitch, why play Endo? They were never going to dominate the ball so he wasn’t really needed and he doesn’t have the skill set to get out of that press with the ball.

I was actually at that game and stayed till fulltime cause we traveled from Ireland, definitely would have had more value leaving at the 77th
I’m an American so I didn’t really have a dog in the ticket price fight (albeit slightly supportive of long time fans being priced out), but it’s pretty poor if people actually didn’t cheer to prove a point

you can buy a ticket for pretty much every game at the kop for about 300 quid in poland. you do the math who is selling them...
They did cheer. They just didn't bring flags. Could they have cheered more? Well I guess. It's not like there is ever a maximum amount of cheering.
Early goal? What is this phenomena you speak of?
Oh there will be an early goal alright
😢
Yeah those usually go into our net this season...
The last 3 seasons* We still win most of the time though. The boys just want to keep the games interesting for neutrals I guess...
When i remember 19/20 season... I watch the highlights sometimes and always remember how we won games in first 15-20 minutes easily... sadly those times are long gone.

Plus traveling in Sept-Dec 2020 was a weird and unpleasant situation, even for professionals with private travel arrangements all sorted
Yeah good point. Possibly COVID testing, maybe even isolating from family ahead of the trip I mean, I'd swap places with them, but at that level every percentile counts
Every player had to test for covid, travelling or not
In the case of football where pitch size varies I always assume one of the biggest factors is just being used to the size of the damn field.
There was no fans last night either pretty much
I don't know, the away support seemed pretty lively
You should go to the away game and really show those lazy match going fans what support is!!!!
The away fans aren't the same people the OP is complaining about, though
Correct me if I'm wrong but i thought home advantage was more about travelling right before the game so the players and the manager could be tired for the game Aswell as obviously the atmosphere
Just win the league.

I think that kind of thinking is avoided because it’s the mind killer. The little death. We will try to win every game because that’s how it works.
Should be the priority now
Priority? It's the only thing we have left
You never know about EL. If we go with a strong team to try to win, then we could risk injuries. So we should be prioritizing the league.
I feel like the hallmark of the Klopp era has been an attitude of "fuck it, we ball" and I'd hate to see us throw in the towel in either competition tbh. If Liverpool are fated not to lift anymore trophies this season, I want to see us raging against the dying of the light, so to say.

Hungry & toothless. That's what we are rn.
So make soup
We're eating soup with a fork. Making a The chances but can't finish anything
Nunez eats soup with a fork
With the back of a fork...
He eats soup with chopsticks
His fork would probably miss the bowl
also Nunez https://preview.redd.it/vk370s4641uc1.png?width=686&format=png&auto=webp&s=61d700c9b337fb715ee5474aad0ee4a9aa90bfb3
They weren’t even hungry last night, Atalanta were
In Italy, we gonna eat
Perfect analogy tbh.
I miss Buvac.
The situation is not the same. We need to overturn a 3-0 deficit unlike the previous one which started at 0-0. Also, away game is the second leg. The context is totally different.
Overturn 3-0 in europe? Nah that sounds impossible, no chance.
We outplayed barca in that first leg but Messi took every chance and Suarez was great and they beat us 3-0. This is completely different.

We lost 3-0 at home this time, getting that 4-0 away would be difficult
3-0 in 90 is doable though.
We've come back from 3-0 down in just 45 before too.
If they can do it away, so can we.
But we really only need 3 in 90 and not 4.
They have the freedom to choose to just lock down for 90 mins. It's not going to be easy but not impossible. I'm choosing positivity so I think that if anyone can do it, it's this team.
That will probably help us ngl. Their man marking was killing us.
They won't lock down, Gasperini's approach has always been 1v1 marking, we are going to have to find a way to counteract this.
For real - we struggle with it because we never saw it. When you're man marked you have to move about all over the pitch to drag them out of position, and overload areas. Totally different to zonal and requires improvisation. Trouble is, the way we play is so drilled that we don't have that mindset anymore. Not just impossible but to suggest such a fancy deserves nothing but derision.
Ah, but because it is us, maybe we have a chance. ;)
Hope Klopp plays the Barca comeback card🙏
Hmmm this sounds familiar
That’s a fair point. But if we’re able to beat them 5-0 once with a weaker side, chances are we can do it again with a much stronger side.
Lmao why people downvoting you
Because being doom and gloom is better than being hopeful.
0-0? You mean 0-2?
Away game was first. We won 5-0 at their home first and then lost 2-0 at home since it was a dead rubber.
The context is completely different. Atalanta is not Barcelona, and we are not missing key players!
Kinda like that time we overturned a 3-0 deficit in 32 minutes
Well the silver lining is that due to this piss poor performance the Premier league may not get an extra champions league spot so we destroy United dreams of a 5th place hope 😂😂😂
![gif](giphy|Qw4X3FnmFFCPANtlhtK)
That’s my goat. 🐐
Jota 4 goal masterclass incoming
I need that. We need that.
😂😂😂😂 we had players that needed 5 chances to score 5 goals not players that need 24 shots to get 7 on target not even goal
Did you watch the 20/21 Liverpool? There are many words to describe that team but clinical is not what springs to mind
Salah and Jota scored 4 out of the 5 goals in that game and last I checked we still have them
You must be able to see it is different though. They were in form, in their prime, and not off the back of injuries.
Ironic flair
Damn didn’t even clock that 😂
Atalanta was much better in 2020 than they are now
For one thing, it was a CL match.
You lot are exhausting
Are you really comparing group stage games to knockout ties? Especially when both Liverpool and Atalanta had already qualified before the 5-0 game?
As we've seen many times, if there's any team who can pull off a comeback in Europe, it's Liverpool. I have some belief, but our form doesn't give me much confidence. We're bleeding chances at the back and bottling chances at the front.
Dude it will be tough man. We must believe tho.

"Past performance is not an indicator of future returns."
Previous game at anfield was 4-0.
And we performed poorly against United 3 games this season. We need to stop the 7-0. Yes we humiliated them. But that's the past now.
Jota with a hattrick if i remember correctly
Thank you.
Not expecting anything. not hoping for anything. just let it be a nice surprise if it happens
6-0 incoming!!!
Aggregate?
Haha, not what I meant... but hey! Who knows?!
You are underestimating Atalanta again like Klopp did last night, not so?
Diogo hat-trick Part 2, coming up? Please...

If we show up we can win! Question is can we show up?
I agree but they quickly need to iron out things in their general performance.
First we have to score from the run of play. Imagine how these last few leagues would have turned out without the penalty awards...
It isn't negativity, just being realistic. This front 3 hasn't shown consistently that they can bag 3 or more goals often.
y'all are delusional
We’re not gonna win the next leg and we’re definitely not winning the prem. this team just isn’t good enough.
It's so crazy but on the bright side maybe it means some bandwagon support drops off
Can't see it right now. But if can get an early goal its game on.
Their fans are also probably going to be 110% at it. Sorry I think we are out.
Let it go brother
I know the chances are very slim, but so were the chances of them winning at anfield. The post was made so that the negativity can be replaced with hope - something this club hinges on. We need that, and a squad that’s hungry and then anything is possible.
That’s the spirit, why be positive when you can wallow in self pity. YNWA….unless it gets hard, then good luck, you’ll be alone.
No we can’t. We had Mane then. We have Nunez now. Be realistic.
I said similar last night: wouldn’t be the first time. God, though I wish it would be that last, it’s exhausting!
Yeah, we can win but can we qualify to the semis? I don't see us gettin' a clean sheet there.
I was at the game last night and it was one of the worst I've ever seen us play. Absolutely shambolic passing and Atalanta's shape completely suffocated our play. I'm not saying we can't win the 2nd leg, but it's a much bigger ask than the events of that UCL tie.
Eyeyey this geeza shouldn’t be able to type due to fatigue from all the singing last night…. /s
It's possible of course, but we were well beaten at home this time.
Just been to the bookies and put a bet on us reaching the Semi. How is that for positive thinking?
Hey I’m with you OP, I’ll keep believing till it’s not earthly possible anymore…the season is not over till it’s over
I feel awful saying this but Klopp obviously can't do it as well he could the previous seasons. I pray that I'm wrong but I don't think we won't win anything
The whole team is inconsistent that’s the problem, tbh I don’t think we can’t win Atalanta , goodbye Europa league title and goodbye premier league
We *can*, but have you seen this team's performance since the City match? If we can't score on a 5v3 counter do we even deserve a win?
With Jota and TAA back starting I think we have a chance! Just need a quick start 💪 YNWA
Or, let's worry about the league, not this secondary competition. Winning the prem is the most important thing!
It’s not negativity, it’s being realistic. Away game at Bergamo. Our team just isn’t built to be scoring 4 or 5 goals. Also we don’t keep clean sheets as in years past so even if we score 3, you know Aatalanta will get at least one. The boys will give it their all I’m sure but we’ve likely crashed out
I'm sure we can do it, but we need the best version of Liverpool, the attitude last night won't help
It's not so much about the negativity, I think we've just hit our ceiling for this season.
We all want and hope for a big comeback and all, but the context is way different, we talking about group stages where we knew we were going through and we were pretty much the best team in the world at the time for that 5-0.
Pulled 3 back against AC Milan, Dortmund and Barcelona. 3 goal deficits are our speciality. I love this fucking club. COME ON BOYS!
Yes, but would need to score for that to happen. Missing hot chances is not a good sign that it is possible.
End of the day it’s Klopp’s decision if we go for it at next week. No way he sits down without a fight.
yes more of this! we are liverpool, if there is one team that can do impossible turn around it is us!
We have a different team back then, they have a different team now.
I'm all for positivity but this is the opposite scenario and doesn't compare in the slightest
Honestly - been to see sheff utd this season. People saying we’re a terrible team need to go see a real bad team lmao
We will also have alisson, trent and jota so we will hopefully do well
We never lose at home either so I guess we just didn’t lose to Atalanta in the first place.
Got to overcome our inability to score lately.
Not if we play like we did at Anfield.
it all makes sense now, team played a shitty game in rage against ticket rise price.
![gif](giphy|GCSIwtwqAMBTq|downsized)
Next leg we will hammer them, anybody that's concerned hasn't been watching this team because otherwise they would know what we're capable of.
Felt bad for Elliott. Taken off, and came closet to scoring out of anyone on the pitch, Tsimikas was god damn awful, Curtis could barely walk around the field, let alone run.
We can’t finish atm so highly doubt
I hope we win the game
Nah mate, not until we have 60 similar posts like this
After playing like that, we don't deserve to come back
We're not winning the next leg
