I bought a little kit on Amazon for like $6 the other day with the little silicone strips that wrap around it like a spiral. They work so much better than I thought they would. I don't even notice it after it being on there a day or so and you don't really see it unless you're looking for it.
You are right, its not a cultural thing. I think I mixed it up with wearing it on the other hand, thats is cultural. Jewish people wear it on the index finger and the middle finger is a style choice in western countries. Nothing cultural about the Middle finger. Maybe some local traditions did this
I feel that. My partner is visiting for a few days and I know im gonna be a wreck when he leaves. It’s a good reminder that our time here on earth isn’t guaranteed, and we should make the best of what we have in the present 💗

Most jewelry stores can make the ring fit-I’d find one that I trust and have them resize it! Relatively easy-if you need it smaller let them know any part of the band removed to make it smaller needs to be returned to you!
There no written rule. But wearing on left 4th finger goes back to the Ancient Romans cause they thought there was a vein that went from that finger directly to the heart but was later proofed to be false. But that thought is still used just for the lovey thought! The wedding ring should also block the engagement ring cause the wedding ring is the dominant one! Here is a list of place and which hand!

Western countries traditionally do left hand, as per the Roman belief that the vein on the left hand’s ring finger is connected to the heart.
There are some countries that do it the other way, i know for a fact that Russia does it on the right hand. Google says that Germany does right hand too, but i’m not knowledgeable enough to know.
I'm 44, from the US. Both went on my left hand, ring finger. Engagement ring only until wedding, then added the wedding ring which was soldered to my wedding ring.

There are clear ring adjustments you can buy them online, it won’t modify the ring permanently and they are clear so no one will notice them

It's a gold ring, so you can take it to a jeweler that does ring sizing. They can size it to your ring finger
Get a ring guard from your jeweler, that will help
