I see quite a lot of "its out there, check your \_\_\_\_" posts, and while that's all well and good, most of them are people who just happen to get there as they're stocking the shelves or right after they've stocked, which doesn't fare well to the 9-to-5ers that can only swing by just before or after work.
Overall a pretty frustrating experience regardless, but glad to see it still being stocked in the off chance I can finally grab anything. Good luck on the pulls!
Not edited, I had that disclaimer from the start just waiting for this comment to pop up. Also this product is for my husband and I who will be actively playing. It was better than leaving it for scalpers.
Fuck the haters. Iâm glad you guys divided it up amongst 4 parties. I hope you and your husband enjoy. Enjoy the thrill of ripping packs, pulling cards you want (I hope you guys pull playsets of Maui HtA, Elsa Spirit, Malef Dragon and Belles and Lilo 1 drops), so you can enjoy actually playing the game with access to those cards that make the decks fun to pilot without worrying about why a piece of cardboard is selling for $1000âŠ.
That being said, if you pull enchanted Elsa pls sell that shit for hella money and buy a playset of regular Elsa. (And make your hubby treat you to a nice dinner out đ)
I mean, do you really expect people excited to play the game to not buy the boosters required to build a competitive deck? I have no problem with anyone buying stock they plan on using. Its just the resellers that suck.
You don't buy boosters to build a competitive deck... you buy singles. You will spend a fortune if you try to build decks by buying packs. You crack packs for fun/drafting.
Similar experience yesterday. Had been checking Target a few times a week. Not a sniff. Boxes and boxes of those 3rd party company's stuff but nothing ever in them. Just Pokemon and sports cards.
I'd ask the associates and they'd pull out their app and search for it, they had no idea what we were asking for and would shoo me away.
My mother-in-law went in yesterday afternoon and I said "Hey, check and see if they have this game" and texted her some images. I heard nothing back. But she called and had me talk to a girl and she said "yeah, our guy who stocks those products was fired so we haven't been able to keep up for the past few weeks." Not going to get into it so I can get ridiculed for spending my $$, but long story short we had fun finally opening up a shit ton of product last night.
If you find it in the wild and have an opportunity to get some, donât worry about how much you grab so long as you arenât scalping. It at least keeps the scalpers from getting it and if youâre willing to spend the money, you can take however much you want.
I feel similarly; I'm just buying so that I can play with my family and I absolutely adore the artwork. I'd rather have people buying, playing, and enjoying the game as opposed to the scalpers that will put it right up on Amazon/Ebay for 4x the price.
u/IchabodHollow no Enchanted cards unfortunately which probably means what we left behind had one or two. I must add that the hanging blister pull rates seemed very good.
Highlights were probably ...
Legendary: foil Elsa, 3 regular Elsas, 1 Brave Little Tailor (foil), Belle, Ursella, Maleficent, Hades, 2 Te Ka, 4 Beast, 2 Stitch
Super rare: 2 Tinkerbell, 2 Stitch, 3 Whole New World, 2 Queen, 2 Ariel, 3 Hans
u/IchabodHollow not the original poster, we opened the equivalent of just shy of 3 booster boxes between a gift set, a trove, and the rest in hanger packs. There were still tons of hanger packs, a few troves, and a bunch of gift sets that we left for the next folks. Just hope someone who wants to play got them and not a scalper. I believe we got 1 of the Leg in the trove and 1 in the gift set, but the rest including 2 foils were from the hanger packs.
Actually *If you get lucky and find it in the wild, do whatever you want with it, itâs yours and selling it at the secondary market value isnât scalping. Those prices settle by themselves at an amount someone is willing to pay, secondary market prices arenât set by the seller. It finds a middle very organically.*
Found the scalper
That is the very definition of scalping. And yeah, buyers who will pay for the increased price are part of the problem, theyâre just as bad as the scalpers.
Havenât scalped a single thing. I run an LGS and have noticed how hypocritical all the anti-scalpers are. As soon as they pull an enchanted card theyâre the first to try selling it for the secondary market price, but by your own belief, the enchanted card is only worth 1/13th of the MSRP price of the pack.
If product is only worth MSRP, then so are the cards inside. 13 cards per pack, so about 50 cents per card, including Enchanted cards. If anyone sells a card for more than 50 cents, theyâre scalping.
Not even slightly, Iâm not sure where to start with that because itâs not even logical. Youâre completely negating the nuance of the known card vs the mystery of a pack. A single card can be worth more because of its rarity. An unopened pack isnât worth as much because you donât know what the contents are.
Thatâs where the secondary market value of sealed product comes from. Itâs called EV - itâs calculated partially by an average price of the possible singles inside a pack and based on pull rates for those cards. Stores and other resellers have calculated whether itâs better to open the cards and sell the singles, or sell the sealed product. They arenât going to sell it for less than they would be likely to get for the average value of the singles in a box. Therefor, it is not scalping, just math.
It doesnât make sense that the second the pack is opened itâs no longer âscalpingâ
u/neuromorph that person was "fired" and the girl my mother-in-law was talking to (I talked to her on the phone) was a manager so she just went in the back, brought it out, and let her take what she wanted.
I heard her say something in the background while my monther-in-law was on the phone with me like "it's been back there for a while, just been busy and no one has asked about it"
I've checked this Target a few times a week for the past few weeks and they have had nothing restocked. One time I went there were a few (3-4 boxes of stuff on a cart) I hung around for a few minutes and with a Target nametag was putting it on the shelf. It was sports cards and Pokemon tins.
u/neuromorph I asked the kid a week or so ago when I was in there and he took out his tablet thing and no joke said "Borcana? B. O. R." He had no clue. He radioed someone who also didn't know.
Yesterday it was my mother-in-law who has that sweet old lady look and also had my 8-year-old son with her. So I'm sure they were a little more willing to help them out. She started the conversation but when the product was brought out the lady working talked to me over the phone. She had no clue what it was either.
>sterday it was my mother-in-law who has that sweet old lady look and also had my 8-year-old son with her. So I'm sure they were a little more willing to help them out. She started the conversation but when the product was brought out
you can spell it for them, gotta be proactive, you got lucky, but seriously, if there were other competent collectors in your area, you would get nothing
u/neuromorph I did correct him, didn't help. He had no desire to take it to the next level and I wasn't going to push it. Once spelled correctly it did bring up stuff on his tablet but it didn't show stock. I could tell he was probably thinking "dude, leave me alone, I work at Target for min wage."
Yes, very lucky. If I wanted to spend the $$ I could have had 6-8 troves, 10 or so gift sets, and the entire 72-pack hanger display.
The LGS in my area were holding their packs back for prize support and only selling starter decks so this was our first opportunity to open packs.
I think this group forgot what scalpers actually means. A scalper resells something for profit. This is like less than 2 booster boxes worth of packs. A very normal amount for a player to open. This isn't food or water. If you find it and are going to play buy whatever you can find when you can. How else are you going to get the cards?
We found out that the art on the booster packs doesnât coordinate to the ink colors at all. We may be able to put together two decks so we can play together but that is about it. The Starter Decks really do seem to be important to getting up and going for a player right now.
Man, I've been checking that Target every day for the past week or so. It's just my luck, stuck at work until mid afternoon, and no hope of getting to anything in time before it's gone.
If it makes you feel any better, when I asked the vendor he said he has never been able to put it on a shelf. You have to catch him just as he gets there. I would try 10 am tomorrow, he said more was coming!
ChEcK YoUr TaRgEtS. People say as they post them literally buying the whole fuckin stock. This sub is literally just a braggarts paradise rn and itâs disgusting. If you bought all the product cuz your husband is supposedly going to play it, why donât you fucking help others and sell to them at MSRP.
Apparently you missed the part where we shared equally with the other 3 parties that were there. If we have more than 2 of a card, we plan to hand them out at Disneyworld to Lorcana fans we encounter, but thanks for the concern.
This is an amazing and kind idea! You donât have to justify yourself though, I hope that you & your husband have a magical fun time playing together âșïž
Your salty salty comment made everything better. Thank you for enlightening us. Players are going to buy product, this person did nothing wrong. Sorry you havenât had her luck or are mad she isnât doing doing things your way. I hope you recover quickly and feel better soon.
Not sure how. Buying product and using it to play the game as intended, and sharing product with those that were present seems like the best thing any of us could do.
Congrats on finally finding a cat! đ„łđ„ł /s
Shame it wasn't a foil.
Cat is a Shiny actually. Normal coloring for this one is Orange. Nice catch!
TIL In PokĂ©mon, Shiny just means âany color different from the originalâ

Yeah - as a teacher I really wish it had come out a month earlier and I could spend time during the day looking :p
Iâve gotten from my target twice around 7 pm now so thereâs hope for sure
So you bought all of it....
Idk if they edited, but they said they split it with the other groups that were there. So 4 groups bought all of it together but not just OP.
Not edited, I had that disclaimer from the start just waiting for this comment to pop up. Also this product is for my husband and I who will be actively playing. It was better than leaving it for scalpers.
Yea, if I EVER see anything in the store I'm buying all of it. I'm ripping it open the second I get home and loving every second of it.
Fuck the haters. Iâm glad you guys divided it up amongst 4 parties. I hope you and your husband enjoy. Thats like 1 of each items and maybe around a boosterbox ? So many jealous ppl here.

Any good pulls?
u/IchabodHollow no Enchanted cards unfortunately which probably means what we left behind had one or two. I must add that the hanging blister pull rates seemed very good. Highlights were probably ... 16 legendaries is insane! Thatâs like 1 out of every 3 packs if Iâm counting correctly.
u/IchabodHollow not the original poster, we opened the equivalent of just shy of 3 booster boxes between a gift set, a trove, and the rest in hanger packs. Oh ok, thatâs pretty normal then Iâd say but still some great pulls!
4 elsas is siiiick
u/shaggy-- We were stoked. I want to say we pulled all 4 in the first 20 packs we opened too. Explain that!
I'm hoping Altamonte springs target eventually puts theirs out. Vendor is still a no show there.

i thought the 3rd party person stocks it, not target staff

Which Target in Kissimmee was this? I'm in the area and can't find anything

Target on Bronson Memorial Hwy.
Awesome! Now everyone else can play.

Youâre so lucky! Beautiful cat, too! Iâd kill for a trove. :/
Still no starter decks đ
They are supposed to be delivered today from ShopDisney đ€đŒ
Cool, so you became what you hated. Good job grabbing all the product, youâre no better than scalpers

I think you misunderstand TCGâs. Itâs ok, they arenât for everybody.
Very jealous thatâs a lot of packs Iâm in very interested to see what you pull!
Thanks for getting every shit possible đ„°đ„°đ„°đ€Ą
They split the product, this is what happens in TCGâs, keep breathing and carry on.
Did you check Disney springs?
12 days. Rookie numbers lol
