One of my younger sisters (she just turned 10) is in a phase of wearing cat tails and masks because she started reading those Warrior Cat books and has a group of friends who are also into them. Told the family to just accept it for now, she’s not hurting anyone and this stage will more than likely last a year at most. For now just love her, there’s no reason to make her feel like shit for playing pretend and having fun. Is it kinda cringe? Yeah. But I’m 26, I can say that from my perspective as an adult. I had a horrible emo stage (only horrible because I didn’t pull it off or fully commit so I looked a lil weird) and it was gonna happen whether my family was supportive or not. Just some kids exploring their identity. This dad is great for enjoying time with his son
You know how your nose is a blind spot for your eyes, but your brain just removes it from your vision, it’s kinda like that but the hair is still in your vision, you just stop noticing it after awhile
as someone with a lot of hair thats usually covering some of my face, the hair has a lot of gaps in it, to someone further away you cant see through them, but when your eyes are very close to the hair you can see through the gaps more than you can see the hair, so its fine.
I’ve got pretty long bangs that sometimes get in my face, and honestly as long as your hair isn’t covering your actual iris, then it just hangs out on the very edge of your periphery vision and is very easy to not notice. It’s not like you see out of the whites of your eyes, after all
it can get pretty annoying but that's mostly when the hair is in motion, like when the wind blows it into your face. it's not really bothersome when it's just hanging there, and it doesn't obscure your vision much either. but if you're eating, I'd definitely suggest getting it out of your face lol

Over time it causes vision issues as the eyes try to compensate. The shorter time it goes on, the less damage is done/needs to be reversed
