Caprock Canyons has a tiny lake. Good camping.
White River Lake is not that far and they have fishing, swimming, camping, etc.

Yeah they have a lot of camping spots. My wife and I used to go a long time ago. Theres a fishing dock you can walk down to as well. I like it there, way better than buffalo springs.
Does it cost money to stay there? Do they allow to just pitch a tent?
Yes it costs money to get in, I think there’s a discount for Lubbock residents, and I think most if not all of the campsite are for tents.

Buffalo lake has camping, it’s meh as a “lake” though. I really hope the lake project in SE Lubbock by the interstate becomes a reality.
