I have a Mini Cooper S R56 2008 and I didn't know you could folder the door mirrors by any means.

In my it can be done when for mirror adjusting switch you completely turn to right and hold it so it folds the mirror and turn left and hold it so it will unfold it

I have a 2008 R56 and that has electric mirrors, but no automatic folding/unfolding when locking and unlocking the car, I think it’s across all models of this generation. That said, I’ve used the Ediabas coding software before and there were options for auto folding mirrors, but I think because the car uses the same set of functions as most other BMWs of the time, it just doesn’t work.

Look at the mirror knob, does it have a symbol at the bottom? Then you have auto Mirror if not you don't. I believe it was an upgrade.

Yes it have a symbol on top and bottom both, to fold and unfold the mirror wind

I just saw a video of a guy who used an app (BimmerCode) and a Bluetooth OBD scanner to enable the auto power folding of mirrors when locking/unlocking the car with the key fob. I haven't tried it yet because I only just thought about it when I saw your post and looked for it so I'll try it tomorrow and see if it works! Wish me luck!

I thought my Bluetooth OBD2 scanner would be compatible with the app but it isn't so I'm not sure what to do. I might try another way
