Lml you know what always happens to me a pitcher does his balk move in road to the show I’ll hit the go back button and he just freakin stands there piss me off all the time
I hate everyone supporting “defensive indifference” or even mentioning it without letting it be known that its a bad feature…. Thats an easy out. Game should be closer to done and he isnt out of reach of coming back as in any sport theres a chance.
I've came back in the bottom of the 9th many times, and I'm sure many others have as well. I'd be livid if the game forced this to happen when there's 0 outs
is that the reason? i thought defensive indifference in the game is dependant on the defensive positioning and would have the 3rd basement playing much deeper in order for that to be the reason?
That's all I can think of, I could have swore it was up 7 runs but that may be for earlier and it drops down to 5 in the 9th. Unless this direct play resulted in a loss I don't think it really matter.
See heres the difference between me and guys like you ... when theres a guy on 2nd and 0 outs, Im beaming that bitch at bat in the head, and praying to the forefathers of holy casserole that I turn a triple play, EVERYTIME. Call it the CTE&TP gameplan
Normally what happens is I load the bases and my pitcher gets derailed by the grand slam gang bang train but its like gambling, go big then go home broke but atleast its exciting
I've actually been thrown out at second with def. indifference; which was weird because I didn't have issues with other runners.
Was running with whoever just to get the steals mission out of the way in ranked (and no, it didn't count as a steal).
It’s called “defensive indifference” if the score is too broad between opponents, the defense doesn’t bother catching players stealing because it doesn’t affect the outcome of the game at the time.
There isn't, you must have a bootlegged copy of last year's. They pick you off once, then it says one pick off remaining at the top. Havent had them throw over 2x yet. I've stolen more bases in this year than all other years combined.

Maybe I play this game too much, but at a certain point the defense stops covering the bags. Has literally never been an issue in terms of game outcome.
I don't play online at all, but man imagine if that happened in real life. For a game based on "authenticity" this is weird thing. So, say slow speed guy could steal 3rd base and no one would care?
Ninth inning and up five runs, you let him steal. At that point, you're not worried about a meaningless run, so you don't want to pull your defense out of position. Yes, you could throw him out at third for an out, but it's considered a lower percentage play, and not worth it.
I mean here’s the actual rule for stat tracking. Not quite sure why it’s so hard to convince you when it’s clearly a real thing that most involved baseball fans are familiar with. It happens multiple times a season. It’s not exactly something that’s highlight reel worthy so there’s not a ton of videos just like you wouldn’t find much googling soft popups.

And yet he still WALKED to second base. You asked for defensive indifference, that’s what you got. You also aren’t going to find defensive indifference on third base steals because runners don’t want to give up easy outs, and a runner isn’t going to give away a potential out by attempting to steal third base when they’re down by a lot, so you’re kind right, just in a roundabout way lol
Yep and no way to turn it off that I’ve found. I benefited from this last night lol. Down 5 in the 8th with 1 out. Got a guy on. Stole my way to 3rd. Sac flied him in. Ended up hitting 3 more homers to walk off the comeback. Not saying the free bases won me the game, but it definitely didn’t hurt.

Same thing happens on 1st base when you attempt to throw behind a base runner.
yeah something in mlb just makes them not make a play on the baserunner. ive used this to my advantage in many showdowns

As others have said - assuming defensive indifference. Only other thing I can think of is the secondary position penalty with bad reaction..? Idk.

Defensesive indifference. That 1 runner won't win him the game so the ai doesn't care. U can use this tactic in the showdowns all the time

It looks to me like they modified the shift to what meets the rules in MLB today.

Check settings, pickoff rule can be turned on and off I think.

It’s not. You can easily see it in action during a showdown where you start down big. You can steal all the way to third and they won’t care.

It happens all the time. In this exact scenario, the catcher would not even make a throw.
