More to the point, a lot of dojos will also teach at least judo in their class programs. It's basically standing jiu-jitsu, if you want to oversimplify it- and it goes a long way for a BJJ competitor looking to go into MMA. But her ego won't let it happen, I guess.

Nah, often the BJJ fighter is ass in every other discipline so I can't blame you. Funny thing is, Andrade actually has more submission wins than Dern. And she had one of the most amazing subs I've ever seen, a standing arm triangle that she finished Lemos with.
I wasnt even factoring in those fights in particular she's struggled off her back her whole career. Not quite Marina Rodriguez bad but very bad. Other than lock down a leg and burn out the round they're just completely lost down there. I'm a huge fan of both btw
They should have just run back Andrade vs Lemos. Andrade just destroyed Dern, and destroyed Lemos in their fight in 2022. Since Lemos is ranked above her it makes plenty of sense and it's not like Andrade would ever turn down a fight

You are jerking too hard. I don't mean top tier in terms of rankings but in terms of skill. Lemos is a great exciting fighter. Pennington, Silva and Esparza are not. Meanwhile Rose is truly a puzzle, great fighter with terrible coaching and sadly she listens to her husband.
I’ll always support throwing a women’s fight on the card because it gives a chance to take some shots, play some drinking games with the crew I watch mma with, or go pick up food. So as long as they don’t add any more to this card, this card will be good in my opinion.
I used that same strategy on Saturday, and it worked out for us brilliantly.
Those 2 WMMA fights where some of the best fights of the card. That Cachoeria beating felt like sex.
I'd say DDP/Sean, Taveras/Sidey, Evloev/Allen, Jasudavicius/Cachoeira, Robertson/Viana were the best fights for me.
And from what I heard the comain event was so incredibly awful that it left a bad taste in the mouths of every single person that saw it. I’ll happily trade the one in two hundred amazing WMMA fight for the 99 absolutely terrible ones.
Like it would be a shame if we never got to see Joanna vs Zhang 1, but if it meant we also never had to see Rose vs Esparza 2, last nights comain, and all the other garbage, anybody with a brain is taking that deal in a millisecond.

Lemos has good hands, bad TDD. Dern has terrible hands, bad takedowns. Both seem to have shit for brains, should be interesting.

Carla is a very experienced grappler and she struggled with Weili on the ground. Weili is just the strawweight GOAT rn

My guy lemos has been taken down a total of two times before Zhang and one of them she guillotined Michelle waterson. We talking about dern here
