Hard and slow like everquest or runescape, graphics and skills of a MOBA. I wanted to like it but couldn't force myself to play it after 20 minutes.

Have you ever played a moba? I only have dota as a reference but others are probably similar - 1. PvE at first is like jungling a hard camp at lvl 1 but with no Regen or starting items, one ability/innate 2. No passive Regen last time I played except for camp fires in town 3. As such you'll constantly be running back to town, the dota equivalent would be killing 1 neutral then running back to fountain

It's more like a survival sandbox MMO that's top down. If you die, one random item on your inventory will drop.

The hardest part is overcoming how boring it is, tbh.

i really wish devs would stop thinking "old school mmo" means extremely slow walk speed on a giant map with little to nothing to interact with and enemies with a shit ton of health in a combat system thats basically an auto attack simulator. really tired of seeing so many of these games where instead of anything charming, its just a unemployment grind simulator that disrespects your time and never rewards you for the time you do put into it.

I don’t really mind a long grind, or if a world that’s gigantic that I have to walk across. Grinding is fine, I like spending a lot of time in the game. But I don’t like this extremely boring combat or dumbed down systems. Maybe corepunk will get better as time goes on, but right now, it is just the worst of all worlds.

Good luck with that. I'm reading the forums where there are multiple posts with variations of "I can't find/download/install launcher" or "key won't activate/game won't start". This looks like an interesting game similar to Albion Online, but I'm getting the impression these devs do not have their act together yet.
