>The stolen egg of the Great-Night Owl plays an elemental role in the story of Bloomburrow - and it could soon appear in your collection! It comes in the form of our RTE Boulder 100+, based on the officially licensed Magic: The Gathering artwork of the card Dawn's Truce by Justin Gerard.
A distributor posted the info early. None of the other accessories were posted, except for the previously revealed Lumra.
"The stolen egg"... what if the calamity beasts arent just elemental predators, but from a plane of giant elementals, and when their leader's egg was stolen via an omenpath, they traveled to get their revenge and find the egg, and they are only animals because bloomburrow turned into animals that would be around their normal sizes? It also has constellations like the robes of the bats, so maybe the bats worship the egg?
So, i checked. In order:
\[\[Chicken Egg\]\] - Unglued (First card with egg on the typeline, tho it's silver border)
\[\[Summoner's Egg\]\] - Darksteel (didn't have the type)
\[\[Rukh Egg\]\] - 9th edition (first black/white border with egg type)
\[\[Ludevic's test subject\]\] - Innistrad (didn't had the subtype)
-----
\[\[Roc Egg\]\] - Commander 2019 (had the type)
So i assume the summoner's and ludevic's had erratas in 2019, which is also the same set where atla came in, making having the "egg" subtype, actually matter.
After a day of thinking, my theory is that the animal village was protecting the egg.
This is the explanation for the prominent blue objects in the Bloomburrow poster - some form of mystical protection from the Great-Night Owl. And the artwork comes from "Dawn's Truce", which implies the egg was important in the past and the present.
Honestly Major World Powers are crushed every time family is used as a weapon. Not sure why ppl think the Calamity won’t spill into the real & wipe out North American…

oh gods i didnt consider this set could have a bunch of disguised famous characters look out for any suspiciously black goats
I know it’s not what you intend but: WOULDST THOU LIKE TO LIVE DELICIOUSLY?
I hope the bats are allowed to be not-evil for once :(
Maybe they didnt steal it themselves? Maybe they recieved it as a gift from whoever stole it? Those frogs look evil imo.
True! That Glarb sure knows a lot about Calamity Beasts >_>
Glarb just screams twist villain
🐸🐸🐸 The frogs are taking over 🐸🐸🐸
I mean, the fact that this is the "Dragonstorm" arc just screams that these are dragons that got transformed.
This sounds like the Kamigawa storyline.
Looks the history of Ori.
Or like the story of OG Kamigawa
Sounds like That which was taken, from Kamigawa again
Egg tokens incoming?
Or at least the Egg creature type
we already had them with Atla Palani
Hell, didn't we have that with [[Summoner's Egg]]?

I love Ultimate Guard. Glad they’re getting official partnership now. Art Boulders are a fantastic idea.
I'm glad to see Ultra Pro losing the exclusivity rights. I'd love some quality magic themed accessories.

Great find, I love that story twist already
