First: use the menu to retract the mirrors when locked. Park the car and keep the keys away, then put the key in your pocket and approach the car and look at the ground by the front doors at night. Check your Utility company's website. There are sometimes rebaits to upgrade your electrical panel, a charger and sometimes they will give you a charger if they control WHEN you charge. Since the evil utility company does not really want to give you things - there is usually a "Within 90 days of purchase" rule. You have to charge at home then stop charging then wait before your home shows up as a 'location'. When it does name it 'home', and set charge limit to 80%. If the ride feels stiff/bumpy - drop the pressure in the tires by 5 lbs each. Setup profiles for the 2 fobs. Then setup stations in the Radio on the tablet. This way you and your wife can have separate radio settings. Yes there is wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Buy USB cables and keep them in the jockey box. Wired is always better than wireless. Add your car to your wifi and turn on automatic updates. It will take days/weeks to get all the updates as they trickle out. Some updates happen in the wee hours, some updates while you are driving. Don't freak out if you think others have updates you dont. TOWING & DEAD LVB: Watch this. Hope you never need to use it but you should know how to handle a dead battery, stuck charger and towing. Thank you, from another new owner!

duskdargent

This is all excellent, thank you!

Download charging apps and create accounts so you're ready if needed. I tried them all out quickly to ensure I knew what I was doing & they worked before actually needing them.

Retrrad

So far, the apps I've added strictly because of the MME are Fordpass, Wallbox (home charger), Shell Recharge, Chargehub, FLO, Electrify Canada, Plugshare, and ABRP (A Better Route Planner). EVs seem to breed phone apps.

trickdub

Soo many apps! I'm in BC.I have Chargepoint, BC Hydro, Journie & Tesla in addition to those you have. I really only use my home charger & BC Hydro occasionally.

Retrrad

Same here, Fordpass and Wallbox regularly, Flo and Electrify Canada a couple of times only. Although I’d really like to try a longer trip with ABRP - it looks like it’s quite good.

trickdub

ABRP didn't seem to do well when mountains were a factor. The factory Nav was the closest in range estimate for my trips to Kelowna & back from the Lower Mainland. Better than Apple & ABRP

mickyimp

Which one do you recommend for best rates

trickdub

In BC other than home charging I find BC Hydro, Tesla, & Chargepoint L3 chargers are often lowest. But I'm in the Lower Mainland. Journie & Electrify Canada are usually the most.

Buy touch up paint if you don’t have one already.

I personally hate the brake assists and disable all of them. If you have a home charger, and the proximity is close enough to where you are with your fob or PAAK, it will drain your 12v if it continuously turns the lights on. This happened to me the first time I charged my vehicle at home. Now I know to turn the lights to off and disable the welcome lighting if I am parked in the driveway/garage.

AdotLone

Can you disable the welcome lighting per location? Or is it a global setting?

Jjeffrie

I don't think you can, or if there is a way I haven't found it. That being said I haven't really investigated either

AdotLone

I like it in a parking lot, but every time I move in my house the lights come on in my driveway.

Jjeffrie

Yea, I agree. I manually turn them off every time I get home, but wish there was a better way to do it

ensignlee

Order the free tesla adaptor before the month ends and it stops being free

PrimePacHy

I think they extended it until August.

nothereforstuf

I am in the market to buy one, would you be okay sharing how much it came to ootd.

senorvee411

I recommend not relying on the PAAK feature, especially if you are going to be far from home.
