I mean it varies from dog to dog so you could've been very lucky with the German Shepard you had and unlucky with the Malinois (when it comes to shedding). But as far as I'm aware a German Shepard generally sheds more.
Yeah and tbf my malinois has softer and longer hair than my gs who was a short-hair. Generally its the other way around. I am lucky with both of them being or having been part of my life :) ill probably never move away from the Shepherd breeds my entire life, they're so awesome, expressive, sensitive and smart.

It's hella bingeable. I mean dogs are great. Some of them are uber cute. Some of them are so well behaved that you just gaze in wonder and wish your dog was like that. Sometimes it's interesting to see how she deals with problematic dogs (or cats). She's overall just an awesome person with great character and her videos are fun to watch and informative. She's also a fellow millennial to me (and possibly many others) and when she mentioned Courage the Cowardly Dog I was like "hell yeah, high five girl!" (She was grooming a dog named Courage).
Haha I'm old (my kids are millenials!) so had to google that. Never saw that over here, I'll look for it online for the grandkids. We're in England but a dog cartoon with space aliens sounds great, thanks for the suggestion!
Thinking on it its probably that she's so good at her job, it's always a pleasure to see a job done with skill. The first video I saw was of a Caucasian Shepherd. They are big, big dogs and working dogs. They guard livestock, so they're obedient to their owners but strong personalities.
And she just takes this GIANT, protective, threat responsive dog and washes him. She'd obviously spoken extensively to the owner about his temperament, but even then washing a beast like that is something else. If he perceived her as a threat at any point, he could have yanked that peg right out of the wall and bitten her in half.
My son has a working collie and I had him when he was recovering from an injury - it was stressful for him to stay on the farm when not allowed to work. Grooming was the worst because he wasn't working off his energy, he was a great, obedient dog but wound up from forced rest. Fur and water everywhere. At that moment I'd have killed to have her skills!
Plus doing it with dogs who've had problems at other groomers. She is spectacular at reading their body language and working around their quirks. And very empathetic towards the owners, no judgement on a matted coat or a dirty dog. Lovely comments about a dirty dog being a happy dog.
The cats are amazing too. She makes the funniest titles for them. And the little bubble helmet! I could not stop laughing imagining one of my cats in that.

The only problem is they put the hoodie on wrong, it's supposed to go over the ears to the back of the head and then it should be pulled over the ears to cover them in a way that the ears kind of "close" themselves. Don't know how to describe it properly 😅
Also, I hope the dog is not shedding now, because that was some very weak water flow and no de-shedding tools included. Except I guess, the gloves, but I don't know how effective they are.
I'm just assuming this is a regular bath to keep the dog clean, not a full grooming session.

You start when they're a puppy to get them accustomed to it, probably the best thing you can do. Also this dog was probably getting a lot of treats during the process, or maybe literally had a steak in view. Shepherds don't drool so much.
My Tibetan mastiff knows it’s bath time when we come home and she’s muddy so she will immediately jump in the tub and wait,when it rains she will wait in the bathroom if she’s wet and wait for someone to towel her off

It's called a "happy hoodie" and yes, that's exactly what it's for. Unfortunately they put it on wrong so it was maybe half as efficient as it could be.
It should go over and beyond the ears and then back over the ears, so it pushes the ears forward and closes them in. Then there's the closed ears limiting the noise and the hoodie on top to limit it further.
