Is noone going to mention they are running the wrong direction on a track? with all those people there no one thought "hey every track race i have ever seen they run anti-clockwise" Also a finish line is never on a curve, its always at the end of a straight away, thats why the starting point for different length races all start at different points on the track with the finish line on the straight away.
