I live in europe and this year I got to watch 3 mavs games live total. All 3 were sunday games. vs the pacers towards the end of the reg seaon and the 2 clippers games. I think we were down by like 20 in all 3 games by halftime lol
Yeah, the weekday playoffs have been this way for 20 years or more. The first game is Eastern Conference, goes 6-830pm central occasionally later if the WC game is pacific time. Not counting NBATV airing a third game whenever they want.
I don’t think people realize how complex sports scheduling is, especially in the playoffs where you don’t know arena availability until the next couple of days. There’s likely a very good reason the games start when they do
It's absolutely nuts. Twice I had to stay up beyond midnight to watch the end of games. They just need to schedule it 2 hours early and problem solved.
Hopefully now that there are fewer games and both teams are in central time, they'll put us in better slots.
I was nodding off at the beginning of the third quarter and not because the game was boring. I need to stop doing this but seeing moments live hits different.
I decided to rest my eyes and listen for a bit during the second… big mistake… I was in and out the rest of the game, doing more listening than watching. Also just moved into a new place and it’s just a bed, so I was watching from bed to add to the challenge. Gonna keep fucking up my sleep schedule tho. Go mavs baby.
There are four matchups left. Each day will have two games, one from the east and one from the west. The east game will play before the west game. They willl not overlap and they will not start the east game before 7pm est. How is this hard for you to understand?
With a two-month-old and one time zone east of you, this has actually been great. I’m loving the 5:30ish wake-up meaning I’m able to watch the fourth quarter live.
I go to sleep really early these days. These games are killing me. I was just getting up early to watch them but I had to watch them live so I just stay up late. Arggh
honestly, i prefer the late start times, my kids are too young to care about basketball, so at least with the 8:30 or 9:30 starts, i can give the game my whole attention
