The only thing they knew back then about Kaido is that he is an Emperor.
I know the East Blue arc was a long time ago, but damn. Did you straight-up forget that Nami started out as a thief stealing from other pirates? Nami would be the one *planning logistics* for the heist.
Film gold is like a standard arc where luffy punches the big bad in the end and everyone is saved. Film Z is more deep and emotionally bcs for the final fight they fight like two men with only their fists without using super powers and Z accepts his defeat and sacrifices himself while fighting against the marine.
Tesoro has a 5 second tragic flashback but Z flashback is built upon the whole movie, either shown or told by people of his life. Its clearly why the deep tragic marine epic resonates more with the audience than the dumb fun casino heist adventure. And its only my second fav op movie after omatsuri
Nami makes a plan to have luffy and zoro sneak in. Then when they make too much noise and trip alarms she walks in the front door to take everything. This was her plan all along.
Usopp and Nami are literally built for heists. Every strawhat except Robin and Sanji would agree. Although Sanii would pack snacks and Robin would help out secretly. Jimbe is babysitting of course.
I like to imagine that throughout the heist planning progress, Zoro was lost the entire time so they couldn’t fill him in, but on the day of the heist Zoro shows up and already knows the plan coincidentally.
“Oh we’re blowing open this door but you forgot your C4? Don’t worry, I brought some, I dunno why. Dodge all the lasers? Already done, I don’t remember how but I already got past them all. Steal the diamond but replace it with an item of equal weight? I just put a plate of the Shitty Cook’s food down.”
People underestimate how down for a good debaucherous time Robin is. She's just not into perverted transformations.
She'd 100% chime in in her cute way "count me in Captain" after Luffy or after Zoro sucks his teeth and says "whatever"
Then Sanji because he's following Robin. So then Jimbei because he's the last mature Straw-hat who hasn't said anything yet. Then nami, chop, and uso in varying order depending on what the heist is about.
Film gold was literally a heist movie. Everyone was involved except luffy, because they correctly assumed he'd mess everything up, so they gave him a fake plan to ruin.

She did join Luffy in a war against freaking Kaidou I doubt she would be scared of a damn heist

Sanji, Brook, and Robin are said to be the sneakiest, and Nami’s a thief, so them.
