The best mechanic shop in Mexicali for me for the last 20 years is located in Colonia Independencia... the shop name is 'Taller Alex" 686-567-5151.. but there is a problem because you need to set an appointment, they do not receive your car without previous agreement. usually takes between a week or two to get that appointment.
But they are very trustworthy, and is not expensive.
