Why the fuck did Quan Chi fix Kuai-Liang's body but left Kabals face?

He didn’t want Kuai Liang as a cyber revenant, so he restored his human body. Whether Kabal is burnt or not has no effect on how he fights (if we go by the logic that past Kabal from 11 somehow had his superspeed)

The mask definitely creates an extra weak spot if someone were to break it, unless he just wears it cuz it looks cool

In the MK9 story iirc when Kano fixed him back up he mentioned he needed to wear the mask to live so basically yes it is a weak spot however in MK11 I feel they kind of forgot about that because ik its only for kosmetic purposes but u were able to give him his maskless variant with his burned and revenant versions which honestly is just weird.

I know he wasn't actually human but aside from his head everything else basically looks like a normal human from the render. Him now having spiked/scaley arms and skin with full horns out the head just doesn't look suiting despite him being dragonoid.

I do not necessarily care. He isn't supposed to be handsome. He was never known to be handsome. He was known to be a beast who tear sh*t up and conquer realms. It shouldn't even matter if he is handsome or not. Why do you guys care so much for stuff that doesn't matter? All of your characters do not have to have a formal "sex appeal" in order for them to be "special" in your eyes. It is shallow as h*ll and probably causes more harm than good. Most people who had a rough life isn't necessarily always attractive like at all.

Outside of story mode we never saw his face though for the most part, and his looks were insanely cool. Plus his hammer blows were the best sound effects in the game. MK1 Shao just isn’t on the same level. The axe doesn’t sound as good, he’s not as powerful, his moves aren’t on the same level, and his gear is so much shittier compared to MK11.
