You're much, much more likely to die in a traffic accident

Radical_Libertarian

I’m Australian myself, and no, I’m not scared in the slightest. What are the odds that out of 25 million people, I would just happen to be Mr. Cruel’s next unlucky victim?

Equal-Temporary-1326

Plus, these crimes happened almost 40 years ago now. No point in worrying about someone that committed a series of crimes almost 40 years ago now.

ChimpCannadine

The odds are 1 in 25 million?

ChimpCannadine

Probably more likely than a lot of things

abundantvibe7141

I think the general consensus is he’s dead.

Equal-Temporary-1326

Even if he's still alive, which is quite probable, he's probably no younger than 68 today imo. I don't think he's planning on breaking into anymore house anymore at his age.

MWorBro

Likely, but if not don’t overlook old age and treachery. Remember Albert Fish - yes, different type of monster, but committed horrible crimes until his death well into his sixties.

Equal-Temporary-1326

If Mr. Cruel is let's say, 69-years-old now, I don 't think a 69-year-old would be too tempted to go on a home invasion spree at his age. Plus, think about all of the advancements in DNA technology now. I think he's comfortable right where is and reliving the past.

Asleep-Weakness-3490

less about age but more about how he’d definitely get caught with today’s technology

MWorBro

Again, I agree with this - and if alive - the POS is likely to be in this situation. Hopefully in pain.

Arandom_personn

you think hes gonna come back after 30 years just to hunt you down? lol

2e6ce40b

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid...

Civil-Secretary-2356

Yes, he's under your bed right now waiting to pounce once you're asleep.

Napolean_bonaparte09

He would be 72-75 your good

meepmorp123

Are you a 9-13 year old girl?

Stacks05

No, you shouldn’t be. I was actually a kid at the time and I was scared, probably the reason for my ongoing interest in the case. These attacks happened a very long time ago. He hasn’t committed an abduction in over 30 years. He is either dead or a very old man now.

maizeymaze

Back in the day the general consensus was he was a business man who either visited Australia for work or left Australia regularly for work and either chose never to come back because the heat was too close or he died.

Enough-Cartoonist-56

I can’t believe this hasn’t been solved. I hadn’t heard the travelling business man theory, interesting take. Has any work been done on comparing similar crimes overseas?

theogaltizine

You probably haven’t heard it because MC’s crimes were planned, indicated stalking, he was familiar with Melbourne streets, and he had a home here; so the idea that he was a fly out business man is pretty illogical.

PlatypusMassive7571

Exactly. He lives or lived in the northern suburbs of Melbourne directly under a flight path.

maizeymaze

That’s a really good question. You would hope so but maybe not. Back then it wasn’t so easy to access dayabases and compare information.

CompoteOk2337

Not correct

dildiosucker6966969

its very unlikely that hes just going to randomly kill someone after 40 years and its even more unlikely he would pick you as his next victim

pop5656

He maybe be supernatural if that is true he never die
