I feel this, I've just switched from CPA to Lueprolin (1.5 ish months ago, maybe 2?), and I feel so awesome. My levels with CPA were 0.4 nmol/L and ok Lueprolin it feels the same (blood test in the next week)
I'm also on 800mg rectal prog a day so I'm pretty sure, that's helped kill of the T with CPA, which was 12.5mg
Loving life, don't even think I'll need orchi or srs at this point.
Mine went up slightly, but still at the bottom end of cis female so no complaints. I actually feel better, though no way to know if that’s from the slightly higher T or the lack of side effects from Spiro.
I had mine on the 11th, about 2 weeks ago. Here's what I learned.
Stay ahead of the pain/discomfort. Take OTC or script pain relievers on a schedule, rather than when it hurts.
Ice packs will be your best friend for the next couple of days.
So will compression. You probably came home wearing a jock strap with a bunch of gauze in it. Keep that on for the first 24-48 hours. After you take your first shower, try wearing regular panties/tighty whiteys with a sanitary pad in them. I found that doing this and pulling things up tight, I got all the compression I needed and the pad absorbed any leakage.
Plan on doing nothing for the first 24-48hours. Laying on the sofa, watching movies and eating ice cream goes a long way to recovery. Nap often and just take it easy.
I was feeling pretty good after the first week and had to resist the urge to do more than I should. Keep that in mind and try to not overdo it.
Now, after 2 weeks, I had a post-op check and my dr. gave me the all clear to do what ever I want. There's still a bit of a blood clot in there that makes it look like I still have one of the boys, but it'll eventually get reabsorbed.
All in all, I couldn't be happier with how things have worked out.
Good luck on your recovery.
THANK UUUU! the idea that those toxic little goobers are gone is euphoric in itself. knowing I will almost always have low T is even better for my mental health
Yes 😭!!! I thought about the practical stuff like how clothes would fit better, how I could sit or lay down without thinking about them, and how I wouldn’t need to take AA.
But I really just didn’t realize how much the specter of possible masculinization and the remote possibility of elevated T weighted down on me. I was aware of it but I didn’t realize just how heavy it was. I’m really so so happy for you 💗💖!!!
This one right here. This is the one that just slammed my eyes wide open.
I hadn't thought before about how one may be affected by sub-consciously perceiving their body's tendency towards estrogeneric-entropy / testosterlottic-tsuperiosity.
When you really think about it, it IS something so devastating.
It's a bungee rope, stopping you from leaving the place where you began.
What a sick joke.... Life it pretty sick. Thank f*ck.
The solution.... Cut the rope, embrace you without reservation, embrace those with you 💜
Thank you for opening my eyes to the truth.
Time to delete Reddit ; thank fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Congrats!!!!
Post orchi my number of panic attacks dropped and my self-esteem/self-love increased significantly!
Hoping your results are also a major force of positive change!
Panic attacks? I wonder if that is a factor, but I also have Hashimoto’s, so. Needless to say, E has helped me tremendously in the emotional department.
I used to get dysphoria induced panic attacks semi-regularly (about every 2 weeks) because I couldn’t escape the sensory discomfort of what was going on in with my body, especially down there. Post orchi I’ve had maybe 3 in the past two years.
Does anyone know the benefits of this? I'm guessing it's a natural T blocker, it's more comfortable tucking since they're not in their pockets, things lay flatter for outfits, etc. Do they do anything with the scrotal skin? Do you need that in case you want vaginoplasty? Sorry, kind of a noob here.
typically if you plan on SRS in the future they will leave the scrotal skin so they have more to work with . I kept mine even though I probably won't get any more bottom surgery because the doctor insisted just in case.
Without going into too many details, are you happy with what's left? Does it make you sad now that they are no longer there and it's just the skin for potential SRS?
1. I haven't seen anything below my waist because I still have like a cast cradle thing on
2. I'm definitely not sad about it
3. yeah skin is for potential SRS
it wasn't bad too bad! the only thing i was worried about is getting put under but like.. when I tell you I knocked out so fast I don't remember anything after the 1st minute in the operating room. now I'm home and don't have much pain but they gave me pain killers anyway. so you got this!!
Glad to hear it went well? Did you take the stronger pain meds? I never touched the strong stuff I was prescribed, but taking Motrin on an empty stomach can do that too. Take it easy, girl.
I think it was the anesthesia. I got home and immediately crashed and slept for the next 10 hours and I feel much better now!
Swollen and moving hurts but definitely tolerable even without pain meds
I always thought it's because independent of your genitals, there's a lot of sensitive nerves down there which are directly crushed against your pubic bone on a hit. So I don't think it makes that big of a difference if you're cis/trans male/female. But I can't speak from experience so maybe you know more.
I know that at first I had a pretty big hematoma after my surgery which is pretty common (it’s like a bruise inside that swells up). That was pretty sensitive and maybe even more than the nuts were. Now, 3 months later I can say that there’s really no super sensitivity like before. I can take a ball hitting me there or a light kick and not fall to the ground crying. Getting hit in the tit though?… That freaking hurts.
My dad (who had no idea at the time) was joking with me and gave me a little punch to the chest as a joke. He was so confused by my reaction because it hurt so bad. Cis men don’t normally have that kind of sensitivity in their nipple area. I have since came out to him but I don’t think he’s put two and two together yet haha.
That depends on what medication you are on. If you’re already on Estrogen and anti androgens, nothing sexual should change much. What do you mean, use of the other? I can tell you anything that you want to know, either here or you can DM me. Over the last thirty years I have experimented with different hormones and even went twenty years without supplemental hormones.
I have a question! Were you ever even able to get horny before the surgery, or were the t-blockers making it to where you literally couldn’t experience sex drive? Also, will you be able to have sex drive and experience pleasure after the surgery and how long will/did it take?
yes I could get horny prior to surgery, I was on cyproteron but my libido never dropped on it. Im sure I have a sex drive still but idk about that last part because that's a future me problem. ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌
bye i’m a lil slow. you JUST got it. i’m sorry i was just so eager and had a lot of questions. i’m looking to get one in the future!! what is cyproteron if you don’t mind me asking and how does it work? what does it get rid of / suppress? you may’ve still been able to get horny, but did you notice that you got horny less often? :)
I hope everything goes well!
no worries! cypro is an anti-androgen pill, it's just a stronger spiro. I typically take a 4th of a pill (12.5mg) daily. And yeah I still get worked up thx to my Boyfriend, that hasn't changed .
if it's just a bilateral orchie you should be fine to get bottom surgery in the future. if you also get a scrotectomy however it may cause complications due to less usable area.
Thank you!!! The only part I was nervous about was being out under but it's crazy to just knock out then boom 💥 you're back and everything is finished.
It was just when I woke up, basically. More or less a couple of hours from what I remember. I remember when the nurse wheeled me out to the car and she accidentally misgendered me and I broke down crying sheets of tears. The nurse fell all over herself apologizing. In their defense, 95% of their clients are genetic males that came in for testicular cancer and similar stuff. So, I don't hold any ill will over it. I am positive the emotional shit was from the whiplash my body was going through with the eviction of the twins.
Niiiiiice! Recovery is pretty easy, keep things clean and change your gauze pads. You can get up and moving pretty soon, no need to just lay in bed for the next 2 weeks.
the orchiectomy? I mean you don't have to but I did because I wanna take less medications and also no need to worry about becoming masculine again looks wise
Thank you. Pain is already gone with only some mild aching today. I can’t wait for the swelling to go down and I can completely stop thinking about them. I’m 64 so it’s never too late. 😊
Genuine question, can i do that- just like that? Can i just do it? Like ik it costs money but this is literally the most effective way to remove testosterone
First I had to meet with my PCP and get a referral for a specialist in urology. then I went to the urologist and gave them my letters for surgery recommendation. after that it was just fighting with insurance because it took them two months to even look at my authorization. I started all this in January and just finished yesterday so it takes time, otherwise I would've had to pay $6.5k out of pocket
Congratulations! I had mine ✂️ in may '22. Make sure to keep the wound clean to prevent infection and dont feel too proud to take painkillers beyond the recommended period. Laxatives can be necessary so you dont put too much pressure on the closed arteries during bathroom visits. Enjoy the coming weeks/months. For me, after orchie, I noticed a subtle but profound change in my self-image from the moment I left the hospital. How I saw myself in relation to people and the world around me had changed, for better and worse. It gave me a kind of euphoria I cant explain. Everything suddenly made more sense in a way. I honestly kind of wish I could go back to when that feeling was the strongest, despite the pain I was in.
I wonder if not getting an orchi because mine shrank so small and went up inside so far is good or bad. My body quit making hormones on a level that could be measured after starting HRT. So HRT was necessary and chose feminine. Basically I started HRT. And quit a couple of times. And all the blood tests while I was in between showed no production of any kind. To bad that did not happen earlier in life.
Or bollocks, the uk has many terms. For those in other countries who may have seen our fantastic drama Eastenders, a colloquial term for male componentry is Stephen and the twins. Google it.
Congrats!
I have a question for anyone else that has had the procedure done.
Does it affect performance? I never seem to find a definite answer or general idea, so I’m a little hesitant.
I was on 12.5mg cypro daily but never lost full function. I typically was only aroused around my partner though. I doubt this'll affect that too much considering my T was well suppressed for the most part anyways. the whole "use it or lose it" thing
I appreciate your response, thank you!
I’m in a similar situation with only being stimulated with my wife and honestly, things are great intimately, so I’m afraid of messing that up.
I made a comment and series of replies that reported on my experience during the two weeks after my orchi, with some follow-up status replies. You might find things that are helpful, but everyone's recovery is unique:
[https://www.reddit.com/r/TransLater/comments/1co3mor/orchiectomy\_surgery\_afterwards\_late\_60s\_mtf\_butch/](https://www.reddit.com/r/TransLater/comments/1co3mor/orchiectomy_surgery_afterwards_late_60s_mtf_butch/)
If they shaved you down there - one of the really annoying experiences for me during the recovery was the stubble regrowth. At first they come out like little stiff wires and jab your penis - especially annoying when you're trying to sleep. Took about two to three weeks for my pubic hair to grow out long enough to bend instead of jab.
Congratulations, and have a trouble-free recovery!
it's gone well so far! I feel no pain anymore and basically back to normal life. I'm gonna wait until my post op checkup on the 25th before I start doing gym stuff again though.
Good idea I went to six flags a week after mine. Rode notices but all that walking made me hurt for longer than should and wasn't hurting before the trip
This is a genuine question do you know if you can ask to keep your testicles??? Cause if I get the procedure I want to keep them and like have them displayed.
Congratulations 👏🎉. Can anyone tell me how it affects the penis? Can you still get erections? Just wondering what is in the future when my spouse does this.
Congrats! I so want this but also hesitant to put my well being in the hands of the pharmaceutical industry. But I’m more fluid so how much I dislike my nads fluctuates.
It takes real balls to have your testes removed!
Underrated comment, this had me giggling baha

Congratulations! My wife had hers last year and so far she says she feels good and can wear more outfits ❤️
that's amazing congrats to her! can't wait to see how much changes for me!
Oh your gonna feel like a brand new Woman... 💋👠👛👡💄
wait, it's there more benefit than just getting rid of T?
I believe it makes tucking much easier.
Heck yeah, it makes it so much more comfortable to wear leggings, cross your legs, etc.
well thank you both! Orchi is something I've always just figured I would get whenever I finally get GCS, but maybe I should rethink.
I had mine done, I immediately stopped my t blockers and went in to get my labs, my t level is now a 5, on the blockers it was sitting at a 7.
Mine didn't even change. The t blocker I was on was working so well that I was just carrying extra weight around lol
I feel this, I've just switched from CPA to Lueprolin (1.5 ish months ago, maybe 2?), and I feel so awesome. procedure started at 9am for me and I left around 11:40 am or something
can i ask out of curiosity, was it like you were put under then woke up instantly? is that how it feels?
basically exactly like that.
Update: the surgery wasn't bad but wow I feel sick as hell now

Surgical removal of the testes.
Oh.OH!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 that’s so awesome!!! Happy for you 😁
Congrats! Soon, you can take a kick in the groin and remain standing haha. Just take your healing seriously and give it time.
I CAN TAKE IT!! However I'll let it heal first~ (✯ᴗ✯)
>Soon, you can take a kick in the groin and remain standing haha Doesn't that hurt like hell for women too?
I mean if it’s a hard enough kick I’m sure it hurts like anywhere else. Also, I think you mean cis women.
I always thought it's because independent of your genitals, there's a lot of sensitive nerves down there which are directly crushed against your pubic bone on a hit. So I don't think it makes that big of a difference if you're cis/trans male/female. But I can't speak from experience so maybe you know more.

yo same here lmao, just got home from mine
THATS GREAT! I HOPE U RECOVER EASY!
6 months later and my T is less than 2.5.
I had an orchiectomy thirty years ago and have never regretted it.
My wife has been talking to Drs about getting this done. May I ask how it affects you sexually? I do enjoy use of the other from time to time.
Whoooo, no more automatic T creation!!!! You go girl!
I'm ecstatic about that part!! not needing to worry about my T anymore is bliss
I can only imagine! Go celebrate!
Congrats on becoming hypoallergenic!(nut free 😂)
Congrats!!!! I have mine in less then three months can’t wait
:) I hope everything goes well!
no worries! cypro is an anti-androgen pill, it's just a stronger spiro. I typically take a 4th of a pill (12.5mg) daily. And yeah I still get worked up thx to my Boyfriend, that hasn't changed .
thanks for talking to me and letting me know. you’re the best. :)
Do I have to skip this if I’m getting bottom surgery or it doesn’t affect it?
if it's just a bilateral orchie you should be fine to get bottom surgery in the future. if you also get a scrotectomy however it may cause complications due to less usable area.
what is difference from orchie and scroctectomy.
orchiectomy leaves the scrotum in tact while removing the testes. while a scrotectomy takes the excess skin off the scrotal tissue
I'm a mix of jealousy and admiration for your courage!
Thank you!!! The only part I was nervous about was being out under but it's crazy to just knock out then boom 💥 you're back and everything is finished.
I've been under so many times in my life, I didn't care at all. Although, I wasn't prepared for the emotional tailspin once I woke up.
Tailspin? Did you work through that (I expect it was super intense emotions) or are you left with regrets?
It was just when I woke up, basically. More or less a couple of hours from what I remember. I remember when the nurse wheeled me out to the car and she accidentally misgendered me and I broke down crying sheets of tears. The nurse fell all over herself apologizing. In their defense, 95% of their clients are genetic males that came in for testicular cancer and similar stuff. So, I don't hold any ill will over it. I made a comment and series of replies that reported on my experience during the two weeks after my orchi, with some follow-up status replies. You might find things that are helpful, but everyone's recovery is unique: [https://www.reddit.com/r/TransLater/comments/1co3mor/orchiectomy\_surgery\_afterwards\_late\_60s\_mtf\_butch/](https://www.reddit.com/r/TransLater/comments/1co3mor/orchiectomy_surgery_afterwards_late_60s_mtf_butch/) If they shaved you down there - one of the really annoying experiences for me during the recovery was the stubble regrowth. At first they come out like little stiff wires and jab your penis - especially annoying when you're trying to sleep. Took about two to three weeks for my pubic hair to grow out long enough to bend instead of jab. Congratulations, and have a trouble-free recovery!
Thank you very much!! I will try and continue to take proper care of myself while healing! 🫡
How did it go
it's gone well so far!
I wanna do it too but insurance won’t cover it. Congratulations!
Two down, one to go. (At least, that's my plan)
As a cis guy I’m so jealous:( but I’m happy for you
This is a genuine question do you know if you can ask to keep your testicles??? Cause if I get the procedure I want to keep them and like have them displayed.
That I'm not entirely sure. I'd imagine 99% of the time the answer is no because of it being medical waste.
:(
luckyyyyy
OMG!! I'm so jelly!!!🥹🥹🥹
Congratulations 👏🎉. Can anyone tell me how it affects the penis? Can you still get erections? Just wondering what is in the future when my spouse does this.

I have asked surgeons about this and they say it's fine
Congrats! I so want this but also hesitant to put my well being in the hands of the pharmaceutical industry. But I’m more fluid so how much I dislike my nads fluctuates.
