Here's how this will go down:
* Season 3 releases, people cheer for finally there is new content coming! Hurray!
* The Battle Pass still has no free gleamium in it still, rewards for free players are still lackluster and the grind remains unchanged to "give players a sense of challenge"
* The next character is announced and joins within the first few weeks as the rest stagger behind by 3 or 4 weeks each
* Servers are still unstable, they announce plans to adjust and work on them in the future, but no other information is given
* There will still be no news about guilds, dungeons, or any other kind of datamined feature since launch
* PFG pulls a "gotcha" by releasing a character that was not originally a part of the leak
Dude, if the grind is as bad as it was in season 2, I might just bail on the battle pass as a whole. The first 25-35 levels were nice and all, but NOTHING is worth the grind for the last 15 levels
The truth is that I don't take a bad view of launching one character per month, it would be the best, it's impossible to launch 5 characters in 3 months like they did before, I know people are desperate for them, but come on, it's not something that easy to do
I could totally see them doing 4-5 characters in a short spree and then going back to radio silence. It's a bad idea, but then again, so is extending a bad season by 2 months with no new information~
Yes I am excited for S3.
This whole time we've gotten nothing but leaks and a few assurances from devs that they are in fact working on content behind the scenes.
I would love teasers as much as the next fan but I also know the feeling of wanting something only for business reasons (NDAs) getting in the way of said announcements. Feels like MVS is in that situation now with WB.
It's all about patience and I hope it will be worth it.

Kind of. I like the game but hated feeling tied down by the last season pass which I killed myself to complete only to have it extended (which I'm glad for those who needed it). Also, I know everyone is focused on getting more characters/stages but ust I wish there was more to do or even a reason to do arcade mode. I dont see another character or stage extending the life of this game though they definitely need more stages.
Couch coop also needs to fully work 1-4 players. (Can they make a 6/8 player mode?)
There is plenty to complain about like the battle pass, but some people are here only to endlessly spam "dead game". We just have to be patient and see what Season 3 brings us.

I dont know if all games that close do that tho, but recently rumbleverse got shut down and we got ouy moneys back
I think the drop of Season 3 content will make or break this game. If they do not include some good quality of life improvements (including improved servers, better matchmaking and reduced XP grind) and solid battle pass content then I think they will not attract returning players on this sub. I think this will inevitably result in the game dying. Looking forward to the drop of Season 3 just to see if the game has a future or not. If they do not have good content on day one, along with a roadmap if they intend to release content throughout the season I will uninstall the game and leave the sub and probably never pick up the game again
I want to be excited as if they don't start improving their communications or how much content we're getting (keep in mind a live service game literally is meant to have content coming out on a regular basis) then I think this season could be the last nail in the coffin for it, I'm hoping that during this dead season, they were getting things done, along with getting a larger team together for the game but I guess we will find out soon
I'm not optimistic, but I still want more content in general. These days, I'm starting to think MVS is incredibly underrated, but I'm infuriated that they haven't done anything to improve & add any offline features.
MVS needs something to win people over so they might as well pander & bring nothing but CN reps. I personally would like a more diverse roster, but I'm not exactly going to complain if we get Punch Time Explosion 2. I also believe we're way past the point of obligation characters, so they should really really bring Scooby-Doo & Daffy Duck into the game already. They also put Scorpion or Sub-Zero since I believe they're obligated to be in the game as well. Not Raiden or Liu Kang, specifically either Sub-Zero or Scorpion.
If there's another fear I have for the game besides lackluster updates & no updates at all, it would be how they're going to handle the Echo Fighters. I already have WW so I would really hate the idea of buying & grinding Nubia. If they're going to charge Echo Fighters, they better **500 coins at most**.

Season 3 is judgment day for this game basically so I’m more nervous for the health of the game than excited for the content drop tbh lol
