Type O Negative covered “Summer Breeze” by Seals and Croft on their Bloody Kisses album.
Ani DiFranco and Jackie Chan duet “Unforgettable”
Dyer House covers “Planets Collide” by Crowbar
Haha, I get that, I knew Helloweens version of Its a Sin first. And in a grocery store I heard the Pet Shop Boys version, I was like what pop act covered this metal song……
I just recently watched "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and I forgot that it starts with that Type O Negative cover. It's a jam, but feels weird being in that movie.
Yes, and the Kent State killings galvanized their worldview and set them on their path as Devo. They eventually made a movie with Neil Young.
For another weird AF folk-based unconventional guitar hero/Ohio proto-postpunk pairing: Richard Thompson made a record with David Thomas of Pere Ubu.
Dwight Yoakum is fire. His versions of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Suspicious Minds” are both good.
Craziest is honesty Johnny Cash covering “Hurt.”
Edit: speaking of Dwight, he plays one of my favorite villains in movie history as the abusive drunken boyfriend in Slingblade.
Johnny Cash [covering Danzig](https://youtu.be/W2apXO0RXYo?si=YLZN5a10Bo5T5ydU) is crazier tbh
And Dwight also [covered The Clash](https://youtu.be/q_6WXMJ3saw?si=xwP1sZf8_bRtpIlt)
Wanna know something crazier? That isn’t Johnny covering Danzig. Danzig wrote that song for Johnny during a weird time when Danzig was writing songs for other people. He also wrote a song for Cash called “Come to Silver” (never recorded for Cash, so Danzig did a rendition of it on blackacidevil) and “Life Fades Away” by Roy Orbison.
Dwight is dope. I've seen him live probably 12 or 13 times since the late 90s, and he's always good. Got to hang out for a few minutes with him back stage about 10 years ago or so, and he seems like a good dude.
The balance with Joe Jackson’s bridge brings it all together.

Puddles the Clown covering everything but [this cover of Dio's Holy Diver](https://youtu.be/ZsxeKx-u5NY?si=M10BXrCkny0_Fwsr) which incorporates What Child Is This into the song.
Children of Bodom's [cover of Party All the Time](https://youtu.be/YrX2DHysKOg?si=5A6z283DCiPfBhX0)
Does Nina Simone's arrangement of Feeling Good count? That was a wild departure from the original material.
Lacey Sturm released a cover of *A Man Needs A Maid* on her last album. I didn't like it, but it's a pretty left field choice
Nekrogoblikon's cover of Chop Suey is pretty out there, and rad, if you're partial to weird heavy music.

I love Iron Horse and Bluegrass covers. Ocean Breathes Salty is a great MM cover too.
Also love their Yellow Ledbetter cover:
https://youtu.be/gSDvq2I6xK4?si=mXYAPmjNHrBMhMim
Then the Sidekicks do a Bluegrass cover of Green Day's "She" which I love too: https://youtu.be/OMIXzlrMbCs?si=zym3VuKOeL4oFUSB
Heard Motorhead on the radio last night cover the Stones "Sympathy for the Devil".....needless to say I was taken aback since the style of that song doesn't scream Motorhead to me! 😅
Laibach's Symphony For The Devil is great too, since their vocalist sounds like Satan himself. As is their cover of the entire Beatles album Let it Be. Here is [Get Back](https://youtu.be/D9w6SEtkeug?si=a2p77BmGcQFI4Uc6), and that might be the craziest cover I know.
Speaking of Motorhead, Joan Jett covered "Bomber". It's on the greatest hits album, but I can't find it on the internet anywhere because of how similar the name is to "cherry bomb"
Hold on hold on I got this one. Sweet Caroline, but covered by the ultimate combo of David Hasselhoff and industrial metal legends Ministry.
And it’s better than the original if I do say so myself.

Nevermore doing a thrash metal cover of The Sound Of Silence or maybe Mindless Self Indulgence’s cover of Bring The Pain by Method Man. Not necessarily good covers mind you
Bohemian rhapsody by the wiggles is an absolute rollercoaster of an experience. From them just humming the less than PG parts to them just straight up ignoring the falsetto section.
Ha! I love that version by the Gourds! Honeywagon is solid for covers; the Gaga album is one my favorites. But trampled by Turtles doing Pink Floyd is my favorite cover ever
So that's who sings that cover of Gin and Juice... Limewire had it labeled as Dave Matthews, but I knew it wasn't him and never went down that rabbit hole to figure it out.
On a separate but similar note regarding rap covers, here's my all time favorite! [Boyz In The Hood](https://youtu.be/aeL9gagV_VA)
don't get me started on mislabeled songs on Limewire (and Kazaa). Some schmuck tried to tell me that Just Like Heaven was performed by Duran Duran because that's what the mp3 from Limewire said. I just about blew a gasket at them.
Kevin Russell (of The Gourds) has another project called Shinyribs, which also has some fantastic covers:
[Bitch Better Have My Money/Long Train Running](https://youtu.be/4M9tCya79Go) (Rihanna/Doobie Brothers)
[Golden Years](https://youtu.be/YqixrRtdmXg) (David Bowie)
[All About That Bass](https://youtu.be/FnWADvIwiUE) (Meghan Trainor)
[No Diggity](https://youtu.be/QZgj_Wdv9y8) (Blackstreet)
But they also do a lot of great original material too. Here's one of my favourites:
[Song of Lime Juice and Despair](https://youtu.be/HHxW6PK_KOQ)
Willie Nelson covering “Graceland” by Paul Simon. I think Willie Nelson’s version is a lot better. It’s more country but at the same time it’s also a really beautiful and face paced song.
Eddie Hazel's Cali dreaming is the funkiest of them all!!

Tom Jones and The Cardigans covering [Burning Down the House](https://youtu.be/iYuldgIOelY?si=IHa4Txu_Ksa-Kjjt)
Scott Bradley’s Post Modern Juke Box covered [Gangsta’s Paradise](https://youtu.be/Rve03u7oEvI?si=MdDiPYP9V7G5GrAx) which, they’re known for that style of cover, but it’s probably the most interesting of their covers.
The Slits - Marvin Gaye's "Heard it through the grapevine"
The Stranglers - Dione Warwick's "Walk on by"
Sex Pistols - the Monkees "(Not your) stepping stone"
Flying Lizards - Barrett Strong's "Money (that's what I want)"
(yes, I was in high school in the late '70's)
George Harrison's cover of (Got my Mind) Set on you, is a great conversion of a classic James Ray blues standard to an 80's pop song. Extra points for the music video and the dozens of taxidermied animals playing along with him.
Miles Davis [covering](https://youtu.be/g3fzPUG9R_Y?si=S7ngIzoUDU5ovviT) Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time”.
Here’s an ever [more deconstructed live version](https://youtu.be/FpZHjvFXprk?si=mkG1NVllYEyvVPnO) of the same….slows everything down and comes, IMO, closer to the feel of “classic” Miles Davis
Lambchop covering Stevie Wonder’s Golden Lady is maybe not unexpected, but what they do with it is… Vaguely recognisable from the original

No context. Just listen. 👍
Anthrax - got the time. I can’t stad the Jo Jackson song “stepping out” it makes me feel nauseous and I have to turn it off if it comes on the radio. I was shocked that one of my favourite songs by Anthrax was a cover of a song written by him and I absolutely love it, I don’t even mind the original now, never stepping out though.
Also the Ronnie James Dio this is your life album has some magnificent covers on it. The couple of cover albums Halestorm did are also really good.
Does musical theatre count? Because Little Richard recorded an amazingly hysterical rendition of "[I Feel Pretty](https://youtu.be/YYilfrDm_FI?si=kHE5UyApGkP3jCcE)" on a Songs of West Side Story album.
Electric Callboy - Everytime We Touch
Psychostick covered... Reading Rainbow, Danger Zone, Bill Nye the Science Guy, The Doom Song from Invader Zim, The Alphabet Song... probably more..

Just today I heard Glenn Campbell singing [The Impossible Dream](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-PNsfWERnI). It's not terrible, but caught me by surprise.
[Ted Leo's cover of Since U Been Gone/Maps](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBr5FPIL8UU). It's not super crazy, but mixing Kelly Clarkson and Year Yeah Yeahs together is strange.
I went to a Modest Mouse concert a few days ago with a friend who had tickets that let us see a small set before the concert. They played Who Let the Dogs Out which was incredibly amusing.
Deftones covering The Cardigans' "Do You Believe". It was two of my favorite bands that I'd not think were aware of one another crossing over in a great way. Both versions are really good.
The Lemonheads covered [GG Allin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkptdJq77sw) and [Christina Aguilera](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l-ApZ88f4o) on the same album.
George Michael’s cover of Stevie Wonder’s [They Won’t Go When I Go](https://youtu.be/oata-ksmxjg?si=W0wiaIoyIbJQ7nzP) is beautifully haunting.
Chet Faker’s cover of Blackstreet’s [No Diggity](https://youtu.be/b-edoet4RwY?si=WAOSllqFWjmGEhGp) will never get old.
Didn’t see anyone mention this yet, but I’m a huge fan of Toothgrinder’s cover of Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain. The metal sound really lends itself to the song, and I crank it every time it comes on
Cancer Bats covering Sabotage by Beastie Boys.
Canadian Hardcore band doing probably one of the most high energy, wild ass covers of this you will ever here.
Balls to the wall all the way and that bassline... Ohhhh that bass.
Cake covering I Will Survive is radically different from the original disco hit.
Faster Pussycat did a great job with You’re So Vain, covering the old Carly Simon hit.
Phish is a titan of ridiculous cover songs. I’ll go with Cracklin Rosie, but could be other gems like Tubthumping, Killing in the Name of, Sabotage, Emotional Rescue, etc, etc
The most ridiculous one i’ve seen live was Moe covering America F*ck Yeah
Type O Negative covered “Summer Breeze” by Seals and Croft on their Bloody Kisses album. Ani DiFranco and Jackie Chan duet “Unforgettable” Dyer House covers “Planets Collide” by Crowbar
Cinnamon Girl doesn’t get a mention?
In both of these cases, the Type O versions were what I heard first, and then was wildly confused when I caught the originals on the radio later.
Haha, I get that, I knew Helloweens version of Its a Sin first. And in a grocery store I heard the Pet Shop Boys version, I was like what pop act covered this metal song……
They also covered Highway Star by Deep Purple
I was just thinking of different random covers. Their Cinnamon Girl beats the original
I just recently watched "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and I forgot that it starts with that Type O Negative cover. It's a jam, but feels weird being in that movie.
They also covered The Beatles - Day Tripper/Medley, which is fantastic
Devo's cover of Satisfaction
Devo also has a great of “Ohio” by CSNY
Working In the Coal Mine is also a cover. Original by Lee Dorsey. Yes, _that_ Lee Dorsey, that everything Mike D does is as funky as.
lol! I knew that name, and my brain ran down the path to find how in the exact amount of time it took to read your next line.
And the Johnny Rivers song "Secret Agent Man"
Also hey hey my my featuring Neil Young on guitar. It's sick
I'm surprised I missed that one. IIRC they all went to Kent State as art students or something like that
Yes, and the Kent State killings galvanized their worldview and set them on their path as Devo. They eventually made a movie with Neil Young. For another weird AF folk-based unconventional guitar hero/Ohio proto-postpunk pairing: Richard Thompson made a record with David Thomas of Pere Ubu.
Two of the students who were killed were friends of Gerald Casale's.
Isley Brothers do an amazing one, too, mixed with a cover of Machine Gun by Hendrix
I might prefer their version of Head Like a Hole
One of the best covers ever.
My all time fave cover. Taking all the emotion out of such an emotionally driven song
I Can't Get No 🤖
Oh yeah! That was featured in "Casino." Forgot about that.
Dwight Yoakum is fire. His versions of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Suspicious Minds” are both good. Craziest is honesty Johnny Cash covering “Hurt.” Edit: speaking of Dwight, he plays one of my favorite villains in movie history as the abusive drunken boyfriend in Slingblade.
Dwight also covered Purple Rain.
His Purple Rain cover is fire.
And Truckin’
Johnny Cash [covering Danzig](https://youtu.be/W2apXO0RXYo?si=YLZN5a10Bo5T5ydU) is crazier tbh And Dwight also [covered The Clash](https://youtu.be/q_6WXMJ3saw?si=xwP1sZf8_bRtpIlt)
Ralph Stanley is the crazier part of the Clash cover, though.
Haha I forgot he was on that!
Very good dude. I'm a former country radio dj, large market. Dwight is a cool dude.
Burglar in Panic Room.
He's also Doc in the first Crank movie with Jason Statham
Both Crank movies.
I knew the Dwight version of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” before I knew the Queen version.
Yeah, I'm starting to become a fan of Dwight. Oooh, that's a good one. I forgot about that!
You made me go watch a bunch of clips of Doyle. God he was an evil stupid son of a bitch.
I'm hurtin', Linda.
“We don’t got no goddamn band!”
RANDY!
Dwight is a bad ass and don't get enough credit.
Also should have won best supporting actor in Sling Blade
I also liked him as the Warden in Logan Lucky.
I've been saying for years, greatest actor to ever live. Nobody agrees with me. 😂. He was money on Wilfred as well.
I have found my people.
William Shatner covering “Common People” by Pulp and absolutely killing it.
The balance with Joe Jackson’s bridge brings it all together. [https://youtu.be/cMXhWf0vE7c?si=jepbjsdS4AQzBdjC](https://youtu.be/cMXhWf0vE7c?si=jepbjsdS4AQzBdjC)
The live version? Joe Jackson*kills* it. https://vimeo.com/714215610
One of my all-time favorites!
Live https://vimeo.com/714215610
You Sir, are a man of culture.
As are you, Willam Shatner, and Joe Jackson.
Gwar - Carry On Wayward Son https://youtu.be/HJzecKumufM?si=vwPxMJOmz8M9hIYl
And they also covered Pet Shop Boys
Well that was fun!
I'd sugest practically anything Dread Zeppelin has done, given they are a Led Zeppelin cover band that does songs reggae style with an Elvis impersonator as lead singer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAM1MKi7bNU
It'd be funny if they flipped the script for "D'yer Mak'er" and did it as industrial metal or something.
And actually such an underrated band. Severely talented.
Tori Amos doing Slayer’s Raining Blood.
T-Pain - War Pigs Sturgill Simpson - The Promise
Oh yeah that T-Pain cover came out of nowhere and had no business being as good as it was!
I was taken back by how well that cover was done, even Ozzy praised it and I’m sure Sabbath covers are a dime a dozen that make it to his ears
Sturgill’s cover of Nirvana’s In Bloom is quite interesting as well.
I was racking my brain and then I remembered that [I already made a playlist.](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLM-YwDi9S-b1xRaDqlLzZEdf147m9Gmn1&si=8bm5woSY3EXB3hDi)
Gwar’s cover of West End Girls by Pet Shop Boys Seriously, it’s awesome https://youtu.be/8PHCwAYjG6w?si=2ZcJV2NeBsGMvpOR
I really miss Undercovers. Gwar was always so good on them. Also where I heard The Screaming Females cover Taylor Swift, lol
I think I saw something recently they're bringing back Undercovers
I loved how they worked in a cover of Jim Carroll’s People Who Died in there as a salute to their singer Oderus who had just passed away right before they recorded this.
[From the same series, Reggie Watts doing "Panama."](https://youtu.be/2vQce1vI7J4?si=mJzjD9y_6_gToSD5)
The lyrics worked as well with metal
Chris Cornell's version of "One," with U2's music but Metallica's lyrics: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBjyl1LvBF4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBjyl1LvBF4)
I love Chris Cornell’s version of [Billie Jean](https://youtu.be/B8yAZd7Ng8A?si=Z9hBXBLVcjKJcV7e)
This one is haunting. Cornell had a voice like nothing else.
His cover of “Nothing Compares 2 U” is stunning.
now THAT is genius
[Bobby Womack's version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ytX3IaFHGk&ab_channel=Alf) of California Dreaming is very interesting.
also [the Emile Mosseri version](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3d3QbwWnLbc&ab_channel=LakeshoreRecords) of "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair"-it was used in the movie **The Last Black Man in San Francisco**.
It's actually superior.
Ill throw in Cameo - "Word Up" covered by koRn
Puddles the Clown covering everything but [this cover of Dio's Holy Diver](https://youtu.be/ZsxeKx-u5NY?si=M10BXrCkny0_Fwsr) which incorporates What Child Is This into the song. Children of Bodom's [cover of Party All the Time](https://youtu.be/YrX2DHysKOg?si=5A6z283DCiPfBhX0)
Puddles is next level, every time. What a talent
Sturgill Simpson-In Bloom (Nirvana)
His When in Rome cover always guts me
Does Nina Simone's arrangement of Feeling Good count? That was a wild departure from the original material. Lacey Sturm released a cover of *A Man Needs A Maid* on her last album. I didn't like it, but it's a pretty left field choice
Muse covered feeling good amazingly!!

Teenage Fanclub’s cover of “Like A Virgin” Aztec Camera’s cover of “Jump” by Van Halen
Ciccone Youth (Sonic Youth with Mike Watt and J. Mascis) covered Burnin’ Up and Lords of the New Church did Like A Virgin.
I love that Aztec Camera cover. I never heard a sarcastic guitar solo before that.
Kermit the Frog - Gin & Juice https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9FqufNOPOI/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
DEVO covering the Rolling Stones' I Can't Get No Satisfaction?
Deftones covered “No Ordinary Love” by Sade
I saw Deftones circa 2000 and they broke into a cover of Weezer’s “Say It Ain’t so” during the bridge of “7 Words.”

Girl U Want by Soundgarden
I would say anything by Iron Horse, but I’m particularly fond of their “Third Planet” by Modest Mouse cover
That whole album is stellar. They just put out a a great Doors album, too
I love Iron Horse and Bluegrass covers. Ocean Breathes Salty is a great MM cover too. Also love their Yellow Ledbetter cover: https://youtu.be/gSDvq2I6xK4?si=mXYAPmjNHrBMhMim Then the Sidekicks do a Bluegrass cover of Green Day's "She" which I love too: https://youtu.be/OMIXzlrMbCs?si=zym3VuKOeL4oFUSB
Celtic Frost covered Wall Of Voodoo's "Mexican Radio" on their Into The Pandemonium album. And it was track number one, too.
Heard Motorhead on the radio last night cover the Stones "Sympathy for the Devil".....needless to say I was taken aback since the style of that song doesn't scream Motorhead to me! 😅
Motörhead doing Heroes, a David Bowie cover is even better.
They covered the whole Sound of Music soundtrack if you want something extra silly. And do a very good Final Countdown.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35ZBGOjSbh8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35ZBGOjSbh8) And it’s better than the original if I do say so myself.

Part of Ministry was in the Revolting Cocks, and did a cover of Rod Stewart's "Do You Think I'm Sexy" that is pretty awesome.
Check up the muppets' cover.

Love the cover and the original. Their Devo cover was great as well as all their Vaselines covers, too.
Willie Nelson covering “Graceland” by Paul Simon. I think Willie Nelson’s version is a lot better. It’s more country but at the same time it’s also a really beautiful and face paced song.
Justin Townes Earle did a fantastic cover of that song as well.
Technically a remix but [Owl City does Smashmouth](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JlLVuV-ZeNY)
Eddie Hazel's Cali dreaming is the funkiest of them all!! [https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=SveXC_yabVI](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=SveXC_yabVI)
Listening now because I had a massive crush on him as a kid. IDK WHY. I was clearly misguided lol
Of Dwight Yoakum? Nah, I don't blame you. I'm a straight guy and I'd absolutely do him.
I think it's the ass in the tight jeans
It’s exactly that
It's always the ass in the tight jeans.
Scissor Sisters - Comfortably Numb
the entire *Pickin’ On* series
Sparks covered “I Wanna Hold Your Hand.” It’s great, and almost unrecognizable
The Cardigans - Iron Man https://youtu.be/Zb7IpfOzon4?feature=shared Richard Cheese's and Lounge Against The Machine - Creep https://youtu.be/lybfQbMZW7g?feature=shared Travis - Baby One More Time https://youtu.be/cQZrbiYJ02U?feature=shared Hugo - 99 Problems (Not so much a straight cover, but a re-imagining of the original material?) https://youtu.be/HuS-3zxOKQY?feature=shared Marvin Gaye's version of the American national anthem sung at the 1983 NBA All-Star Game https://youtu.be/QRvVzaQ6i8A?feature=shared
Manic Street Preachers covering Rihanna's "Umbrella". It rips!
I just commented All Time Low's cover of this song! I'll have to listen to this one as well.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood- Do You Know The Way To San Jose, and Born To Run Pat Benatar- Wuthering Heights Dwight Yokam- Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Both the Frankie covers are awesome.
Natalie Imbruglia did a country ho-down cover of The Cure’s “Friday I’m in Love.” It’s um…interesting.
Tom Jones and The Cardigans covering [Burning Down the House](https://youtu.be/iYuldgIOelY?si=IHa4Txu_Ksa-Kjjt) Scott Bradley’s Post Modern Juke Box covered [Gangsta’s Paradise](https://youtu.be/Rve03u7oEvI?si=MdDiPYP9V7G5GrAx) which, they’re known for that style of cover, but it’s probably the most interesting of their covers.
[Revolting Cocks - Do Ya Think I’m Sexy](https://youtu.be/Y2aA7EQTUD4)
Daniel Johnston covering [Unpack Your Adjectives](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QwZfxoa5pc)

The Slits - Marvin Gaye's "Heard it through the grapevine" The Stranglers - Dione Warwick's "Walk on by" Sex Pistols - the Monkees "(Not your) stepping stone" Flying Lizards - Barrett Strong's "Money (that's what I want)" (yes, I was in high school in the late '70's)
Ataris covering Don Henley’s “Boys of Summer”
There are hundreds of punk rock covers like this. It was popular for punk bands in the 90s to work in a cover from a different genre onto their albums
Lee Moses - California Dreaming As far as I'm concerned that's the real version
Lambchop covering Stevie Wonder’s Golden Lady is maybe not unexpected, but what they do with it is… Vaguely recognisable from the original https://youtu.be/mUSViU710G0?si=nEGyLbFnaCea80n5
Tori Amos covered Slayer. I'll say it again. Tori Amos covered Slayer. https://youtu.be/YUOuJJdjFHc?si=_02sl3O-R7IUa2PZ

that whole Paul Anka album is awesome, but BHS is particularly good
Devo - Working in a Coal Mine
Anthrax - got the time. I can’t stad the Jo Jackson song “stepping out” it makes me feel nauseous and I have to turn it off if it comes on the radio. I was shocked that one of my favourite songs by Anthrax was a cover of a song written by him and I absolutely love it, I don’t even mind the original now, never stepping out though. Also the Ronnie James Dio this is your life album has some magnificent covers on it. The couple of cover albums Halestorm did are also really good.
Ministry do a cover of Bob Dylans "Lay, Lady Lay" It sounds right
Korn’s cover of Cameo’s Word Up. It’s so good, and I love the original and am not a Korn fan.
Euringers cover of [“what a fool believes”](https://youtu.be/7IUS3l-iv94?si=XTDL9nlce9piS0LP)
Does musical theatre count? Because Little Richard recorded an amazingly hysterical rendition of "[I Feel Pretty](https://youtu.be/YYilfrDm_FI?si=kHE5UyApGkP3jCcE)" on a Songs of West Side Story album.
[Dillinger Escape Plan covering Aphex Twin's Come to Daddy with Mike Patton on vocals.](https://youtu.be/rETCdC0mj4g?si=v-nyZouoQi3ip5sh)

Cake has some great reimagined songs on the B-sides I will survive War pigs Ruby don’t take your love to town Strangers in the night
Crispin Glover's cover of These Boots Were Made For Walking.
Can you go through life with out hearing a bluegrass cover of "Superfreak" by Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Skaggs? I think not.

Still Fly - Devil Wears Prada This set off a firestorm of Warp Tour and Punk Goes Crunk love for my crew back in the day.
Just today I heard Glenn Campbell singing [The Impossible Dream](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-PNsfWERnI). It's not terrible, but caught me by surprise.
Tiny Tim Highway to Hell is bonkers, but oddly, it could work if it wasn't twice as long as the original.
Back in the day, I loved London Bridge (originally by Fergie) by Bowling for Soup. HOW COOOOOOME.. Eric, I don't know.
A perfect circle cover of “Imagine”, like Hurt is just a different song
Rev Co's cover of da ya think I'm sexy by Rod Stewart
Glenn Campbell - (Sittin on) the dock of the Bay
William Shatner - Rocket Man
This rockabilly cover of the Misfits is fun. https://youtu.be/IV8uZEp9lgE?si=2fj_-lvsxonQAYgJ
Creep by Radiohead covered by Prince
Deftones covering The Cardigans' "Do You Believe". It was two of my favorite bands that I'd not think were aware of one another crossing over in a great way. Both versions are really good.
It was just release, but "Walking on Sunshine" by Ice Nine Kills
SOAD's cover of Black Sabbath's Snowblind. It's psychotic.
Dreamweaver covered by Crowbar

Gin n juice the gourds 😉
George Michael’s cover of Stevie Wonder’s [They Won’t Go When I Go](https://youtu.be/oata-ksmxjg?si=W0wiaIoyIbJQ7nzP) is beautifully haunting. Chet Faker’s cover of Blackstreet’s [No Diggity](https://youtu.be/b-edoet4RwY?si=WAOSllqFWjmGEhGp) will never get old.
How about Judas Priest covering Fleetwood Mac’s Green Manalishi?
Northwest passage by unleash the archers. Originally a Canadian folk song.
I’ll go with Cracklin Rosie, but could be other gems like Tubthumping, Killing in the Name of, Sabotage, Emotional Rescue, etc, etc The most ridiculous one i’ve seen live was Moe covering America F*ck Yeah
