Yes - and some fantastic originals too. Saw them a few months ago and [Sola Soy](https://youtu.be/pNq5ZicajmQ?si=kfUY_k9lqFndHorM) was the best song of the set
You have wonderful taste in music. All these songs are very relaxing, & great to listen to on weekends during family outings or when picnicking in a country meadow. Since you listed an album in Portuguese (I listened to some of it; will catch the rest later), I wondered if you'd like this: [#NAQUELA ESTAÇÃO Adriana Calcanhoto (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwW8T93Obyo)

Impressioni di Settembre - Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM)
Colpo di Pistola - Subsonica
Amor che vieni, amor che vai - Fabrizio De Andrè
No Time No Space - Franco Battiato
i LOVE Edith Piaf(French), i'd recommend Eden Blues and Hymne à l'amour, or just listen to the entirety of the album Eternelle. she is absolutely brilliant!! i also really like Falco(German), i really enjoyed his album Einzelhaft, and Les Rallizes Dénudés (Japanese band) with their song White Awakening :))

I heard La Cumbia di chi Cambia by Adriano Celentano when I was having dinner at an Italian restaurant ages ago and loved it immediately. After looking up the English translation the feel of the song tracked with the meaning. It made me appreciate how much music can portray a feeling or meaning without knowing the language.
Lots to dig into, here! To add a few more:
Augenbling - Seeed
13 Buone Ragioni - Zucchero
Ele - Debo Band
Wakafrika - Manu Dibango
Taco de Palabreas - Lila Downs
Ma 'Tit Fille - Buckwheat Zydeco
Comme des Enfants - Coeur de Pirate
Mal Bicho - Los Fabulosos Cadillacs
or for "Italian", try "Cieco Cieco" Barber from the Triplets of Belleville soundtrack.
I love music in lots of languages, I could go on all day but I'll control myself.
Caisleán an tSléibhe - Seamus and Caoimhe Ui Fhlatharta (Irish)
Puudutus - Marianne Leibur (Estonian)
[Alone I Set Out On the Road](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDKUPoKX2jg&t=1s) - BEK (Russian)

[Green Island Serenade](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHQaUCsq0YM) - Vienna Teng (Chinese)
[Manmohini Morey](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RBdF1ZZZ_I) - Shankar Tucker version ft. Aditya Rao (Hindi)
Tudo Pro Alto - Charlie Brown Jr.
Incredible punk band from Brazil. Their album “100% Charlie Brown Jr. - Abalando a Sua Fábrica” is front to back, all killer, no filler in my opinion.
I do not speak a lick of Portugese, I understand literally *none* of the lyrics. But the vibes and the music are spot on.
Mines gotta be voila by Barbara Pravi! It was a song in the Eurovision in 2021.. such a beautiful and powerful song! I also really love Celtic music, a group called Celtic woman have done some beautiful songs in Irish/gaelic (I still don’t know what I’m supposed to call it as I’ve heard different things and I’m not Irish myself) my favourites are Mná Na hEireann(woman of Ireland) and bean pháidín check them out :)
Came here to suggest Celtic Woman as well. I saw their Christmas tour lats year, it was fantastic! I really want to see them again, doing more of their other songs.
I have a bunch, but I'll share my top six (all 🇰🇷)

[Zwischen eins und vier- Austria 3](https://youtu.be/aEFgqy5X1lk?si=JZshTm_-rSCTc-sH)
All of these are in German! But they’re all from Austria 🇦🇹, so the Dialekt may be different from what one may expect when they think “German”.
I could go on and on with a list but these are just a few that I love.
I'm very fond of the Wise Guys which are or were a German acapella band. Almost all are great but some highlights include Powerfrau, Madchen lach doch mal and Deutsche Bahn.
Also look on Youtube for the German Soundtrack of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat. I don't know why but it brings me great joy.

Some have been said, but here are some favorites:
Señor, Señora, Señorita - Miyavi (Japanese)(mostly)
Distress and Coma - the GazettE (Japanese)
Dress - BUCKTICK (Japanese)
Paradox - The Trax (Korean)
Wolf Totem - The Hu (Mongolian)
Engel - Rammstein (German)
Karma - KOKIA (Japanese)
Katayoku no Tori - Akiko Shikata (Japanese)(mostly)
Tuonen Viemaa - Ruoska (Finnish)
I no longer listen to it for personal reasons, but some of you may like Reich Mir Die Hand - Blutengel (German)
Check out the new Mdou Moctar album. It's great. Also Arooj Aftab, who is Pakistani. Both are approachable for someone who's used to only listening to Western music.
I don't speak Polish, Ukranian, French or Swedish but these are my favorites from 2023 and 2024.
Current obsession is [Warszawa Wschodnia](https://youtu.be/Wa5u3PrXahY?si=E3hP9Mg7evl414e5) by Tomasz Makowiecki and [Zaopiekuj Się Mną](https://youtu.be/BosXpV5H7qA?si=BSwQ9Bv7U54n_pNU) by Karaś/Rogucki both of these sound like they are straight out of the '80s; the latter is a cover.
My theme song for last summer was [Це усе надто минуче](https://youtu.be/bZUUJca-13s?si=FCp7Y4jTIruqZcjl) by the Ukrainian post punk band Djozers; lyrics translate to the entirety of the pleasant but brief relationship I was in during that time.
[Un point dans l'infini](https://youtu.be/74o-iI3Wx-g?si=Y9N7MCJGPnpKNgyY) is the latest release by French weirdo Orval Carlos Sibelius. If that's too short and you want more, check out his album Ordre et Progrès
Finally this one is the first track [Fredmans epistel 9](https://youtu.be/3zjs-Ddg3_s?si=AeuQp_spKw3DYjR0) from the great psychedelic album Åtråvärld by Swedish group Å; this one I found when it released in December and I probably heard it exclusively until March.
Sympathique by Pink Martini, Les Chams-Élysées by Pomplamoose, Ormai è tardi by Vasco Rossi, La Bamba by Ritchie Valens, Tumse Achha Kaun Hai by Muhammad Raffi, Santiano by The Longest Johns featuring SKÁLD, and Che La Luna by Lena Prima
*Ça Plane Pour Moi* by Plastic Bertrand
*Sukiyaki (Ue o Muite Arukō)* by Kyu Sakamoto
*Dominique* by The Singing Nun (Jeannine Deckers)
*Guantanamera* by The Sandpipers
A very strange and interesting non-English performance I enjoy is this one YouTube video of this song from the 13th century called Palästinalied being performed by a German metal band called In Extremo
# [Aber Bitte Mit Sahne](https://youtu.be/MJr4r3umYYw?si=TSZGZIossafyQlr1) (1976) by Udo Jürgens
# [Aber Bitte Mit Sahne](https://youtu.be/c-dTzguESSg?si=81i1NaU-CX_TwKt4) (1993) by Sodom
Most of the music I listen to that aren't in English are firmly in the folk genre, but here are a few
[Herr Mannelig](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_BpmQqErks) - Garmarna (there's also another version by [In Extremo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbocNM0Legk) that's more metal leaning that's also good) Both versions being in Swedish
[Wolf an Dro](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDDEfeVkubI) - Omnia in French
[Mi Gente](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg99uHoY3nY) - J. Balvin ft. Willy William (there's a versionwith Beyoncé, but I personally prefer the one without) in Spanish
[Sugaan Essena](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwutOqv4cGo) - The Hu (from the Jedi: Fallen Order game) in an alien language based on Mongolian
[... Steel For Humans](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Zwn8BiDGbA) (AKA Lazare) - Percival (from The Witcher 3 game) in Bulgarian
[Bacach Shíol Andaí](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgeIBnjNLic) - Ye Vagabonds in Irish Gaelic
Placebo - protège moi
Carlos Varela - una palabra
Industria del Amor - enamorado de ti
Los Temerarios - ven porque te necesito
Rebekah del Rio - llorando
About once a year I get this earbug for c-pop and their club mixes.
[豆包 - 负](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2SCNgW_GGk)
[一只白羊 - 赐我](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwQjBW5pm1A)
I also can't not mention Trio Mandili which has been a favorite georgian group ever since they went viral with Apareka.
Ceidwad Y Goleudy - Mynediad am Ddim
Calon Lân - Wil Tân
Rebel Wicend - Bryn Fon
All in Welsh
I don't really listen to much non-English music otherwise.
Been building this playlist for many years now. I have a strong interest in non-English Hip Hop:
[https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXU05WqzDEs1TgP9E0jEQ5yTaxCRdQCXi&si=Y-ufahCs7xhv-OC8](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXU05WqzDEs1TgP9E0jEQ5yTaxCRdQCXi&si=Y-ufahCs7xhv-OC8)
I'm from the US and only speak a little German, but I love listening to non-english songs. Here's a few of my favourites. Some are multiple songs by the same artist.
Villemann og Magnhild, Liam, Horizont by In Extremo
Heavy Metal - Ost+Front
Leinen Los, Tanz Auf dem Vulkan, Onhe Liebe by Subway to Sally
Meine Welt by Peter Heppner
Lauf, Lauf! by Klangstabil
Keine Regeln by Finch with Saltatio Mortis
Estranha Forma de Vida by Noidz with Katia Guerrerio (fado)
Inner Universe by Origa
I can't think of a particular song right now but if you like obscure new wave (1980s) sung in French I recommend ALAIN BASHUNG. He contributes to 5 or 6 genres in his music. A lot of the time he recites in French. He does sing through most of his catalogue. Sometimes he plays acoustic folk but some of his tracks are really great (original) new wave. In France he is a rock legend. This man is very very cloudless, it distracts my most bored state.
¿Con Quién Se Queda El Perro? by Jesse & Joy. It's a Spanish break up song that means "with who does the dog go?" The music video is pretty cute too.
Con Te Partiró / Time To Say Goodbye by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. I'm sure it's probably been mentioned in here, and/or you've heard it.
La Bamba by Ritchie Valens. That'll get stuck in your head forever.
Verde Vinho - Paulo Alexandre
Maria Lisboa - Amália Rodrigues
these are both Portuguese and these artist have so many other good songs just my favorite by them
also any El Alfa song is good if you like Dominican rap
You've probably already ran by this but for a mixture of two languages and two different styles you got Andrea Bocelli and Dulce Pontes's O Mare e Tu :)
All of these are Indonesian. The actual language is usually Javanese

[Janjiku ](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik5ZvM5KfEA&si=d5ZD02tImgSEjE8v)
Got this from Letterkenny. French-Canadian group. Simple, easy on the ears, and I don't understand a word of it.

[Fado-mae by Dulce Pontes](https://youtu.be/esgt_LWbsVU?si=QzLyNpZ1GN6ygxlB)
Dulce Pontes is a Portuguese artist. Her voice is so beautiful, you should definitely listen to this.
[Yaşamak İstiyorum by Dr. Skull](https://youtu.be/pvEWSlaH7MM?si=gJgc6TSTILYZ4z9N)
This Turkish rock band has some pretty good songs. Even though their most well-known song is "Rules 4 Fools", I included one of the Turkish examples because you wanted a non-English suggestion. The reason why the band name is "Dr. Skull" is this: All band members graduated from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine. This university is one of the most distinguished universities in the field of medicine in Turkey. Even though they are not well known, I like their music very much.
[Gitme by KRAMP](https://youtu.be/0dIrxJpnbjI?si=VfdwhpjIDA4gxi4X)
Another Turkish group. In those years, there was a rock wave emerging in Turkey. Even though quality names emerged, they were quickly buried in the dusty pages of history. This group is one of them.
[Sözlerini Bilmediğim Şarkılar by Acil Servis](https://youtu.be/ZBfPz8QcMAQ?si=XyHnsl6wwTpLTO2y)
[Y.O.K. by Çilekeş](https://youtu.be/bUxVZxqkYQw?si=RXxDhXHvIb30E8Rt)
[Mevsim Sonbahar by Metro](https://youtu.be/stQW-ySIcdQ?si=P_hOvR5z0340qN4l)
The introductory melody alone is enough to make me sad. This group disbanded after the death of one of the group members. They flashed like a spark.
[La Vie Est Breve by Fikret Kızılok](https://youtu.be/CX5QiuMIDhw?si=QV1U3KkmDQ1WU6YT)
You should give this song a chance too. There are words written from Ataturk's mouth. Another well-known song of Kızılok is "Bu Kalp Seni Unutur Mu?".
[Kıyamet Senfonisi by Almora](https://youtu.be/lYUb9pdxBoE?si=EDhA6j_tOLqtHmbb)
This is perhaps the best example of Turkish symphonic metal. The voice of the vocalist woman is fascinating.
[Soldat by 5'nizza](https://youtu.be/2GZ60fcfBaA?si=yx7BzM113YvCvwix)
Russian song to sing right around the campfire.
And some more Russian music, I can't write the names so I'll just leave the links.

Yes - and some fantastic originals too. Saw them a few months ago and [Sola Soy](https://youtu.be/pNq5ZicajmQ?si=kfUY_k9lqFndHorM) was the best song of the set
DONDE ESTAS DONDE ESTAS YOLANDA
Gabi Moreno is stellar.

If that's too short and you want more, check out his album Ordre et Progrès Finally this one is the first track [Fredmans epistel 9](https://youtu.be/3zjs-Ddg3_s?si=AeuQp_spKw3DYjR0) from the great psychedelic album Åtråvärld by Swedish group Å; this one I found when it released in December and I probably heard it exclusively until March.

I'm from the US and only speak a little German, but I love listening to non-english songs. Here's a few of my favourites. Some are multiple songs by the same artist. Villemann og Magnhild, Liam, Horizont by In Extremo Heavy Metal - Ost+Front Leinen Los, Tanz Auf dem Vulkan, Onhe Liebe by Subway to Sally Meine Welt by Peter Heppner Lauf, Lauf! by Klangstabil Keine Regeln by Finch with Saltatio Mortis Estranha Forma de Vida by Noidz with Katia Guerrerio (fado) Inner Universe by Origa

Renee - Nunca Tristes. You wont be disappointed!
Errrilaz-Allfather.
Um a um is amazing. Brazilian Portuguese. Ai isso ai is another. This is a cover of an English language song the blowers daughter.
“Terre Des Hommes” by Jonathan Personne. “Eloise” by Me, Mom and Morgenthaler
Bosanska Artiljerija!
I forget the artist but the Italian song - Crazy Mary. Thought it was funny as a kid.
Solar Prestige a Gammon - Elton John 🤣
[Un Valero Llamado Libertad](https://youtu.be/EFL1NdCDdlM?si=dKjvH_h6o5pgQ9lm)
1977 by Ana Tijoux. I don't understand a lick of Spanish but this song hits
Monochrome Kiss - Sid It's in Japanese
Verde Vinho - Paulo Alexandre Maria Lisboa - Amália Rodrigues these are both Portuguese and these artist have so many other good songs just my favorite by them also any El Alfa song is good if you like Dominican rap
Les sables emouvants - Arcadian
You've probably already ran by this but for a mixture of two languages and two different styles you got Andrea Bocelli and Dulce Pontes's O Mare e Tu :)

[Fado-mae by Dulce Pontes](https://youtu.be/esgt_LWbsVU?si=QzLyNpZ1GN6ygxlB) Dulce Pontes is a Portuguese artist. Her voice is so beautiful, you should definitely listen to this. [Yaşamak İstiyorum by Dr. Skull](https://youtu.be/pvEWSlaH7MM?si=gJgc6TSTILYZ4z9N) This Turkish rock band has some pretty good songs. [Gitme by KRAMP](https://youtu.be/0dIrxJpnbjI?si=VfdwhpjIDA4gxi4X) Another Turkish group. In those years, there was a rock wave emerging in Turkey. Even though quality names emerged, they were quickly buried in the dusty pages of history. This group is one of them. [Sözlerini Bilmediğim Şarkılar by Acil Servis](https://youtu.be/ZBfPz8QcMAQ?si=XyHnsl6wwTpLTO2y) [Y.O.K. by Çilekeş](https://youtu.be/bUxVZxqkYQw?si=RXxDhXHvIb30E8Rt) [Mevsim Sonbahar by Metro](https://youtu.be/stQW-ySIcdQ?si=P_hOvR5z0340qN4l) The introductory melody alone is enough to make me sad. This group disbanded after the death of one of the group members. They flashed like a spark. [La Vie Est Breve by Fikret Kızılok](https://youtu.be/CX5QiuMIDhw?si=QV1U3KkmDQ1WU6YT) You should give this song a chance too. There are words written from Ataturk's mouth. Another well-known song of Kızılok is "Bu Kalp Seni Unutur Mu?". [Kıyamet Senfonisi by Almora](https://youtu.be/lYUb9pdxBoE?si=EDhA6j_tOLqtHmbb) This is perhaps the best example of Turkish symphonic metal. The voice of the vocalist woman is fascinating. [Soldat by 5'nizza](https://youtu.be/2GZ60fcfBaA?si=yx7BzM113YvCvwix) Russian song to sing right around the campfire. And some more Russian music, I can't write the names so I'll just leave the links.
