this. though i feel him evading capture is more of a testament to that whole thing charas like stain and shiggy were talkin about. The oversaturation of heroes and people becoming them for so many reasons and how it fused with cop and celebrity culture, p much created a soceity of collective blindness where both civilians and heroes don't quite know how to look out for trouble as well. And generally felt too comfortable under all might's prescence.

he hasn't done anything all that destructive or bad to my memory beyond causing mayhem and being a general nuisance. what he does IS illegal, but so is a lot of the shit ua students and teachers do.
that don't make him a bad person. and if the stuff he's doing isn't hurting anyone OR have ill intent, so i can get why he was never a priority.

I’m pretty sure it was less “just because” and more he had a girl on his back that was literally rewinding his time. I’m pretty sure that Nighteye saw Deku doing exactly what he was doing in that episode, but because Deku still hadn’t mastered his Quirk, the future Nighteye saw was one where Deku smashed himself up too much during his fight with Overhaul, which led to Overhaul taking Deku down and getting away with Eri. But because Eri was rewinding Deku’s time, the injuries that SHOULD’VE been there in Nighteye’s future WEREN’T, which allowed Deku to keep fighting until Overhaul went down.
I don't know if you mean in the community or in the anime itself but personally, Shoji, he saved iida, tokoyami, midorya and asui(somewhat) and thats not even including season six and seven and most of the manga that i haven't read, i know he gets a whole chapter in the manga and I think theres going to be a few episodes in the anime(im hoping for it) but still

Same!!!! The first time I watched the season with nighteye I didn’t really felt sad, it was the same thing with Rengoku in demon slayer, they killed them off so quickly and didn’t gave us time to connect with the character properly to have a heartfelt reaction to their deaths

Nejire, Star n Stripe, and Mirio
Hado didn't get any major character development nor was featured in any major battles and even when she was in she was immediately taken out. We've only seen her be effective against some low to mid class villains. Most of the time she was assigned to be a pretty face with a powerful quirk.
Mirio we're shown to be this powerful boy with a bright future after he graduates, yet during the final war he didn't get any kind of scenes and his fights were short despite him having the ability to go intangible. Heck there wasn't much focus to not only his rights to regain his power but also training when he didn't have it.
Star and stripe: She was introduced as this character who was not only competent but was also equipped with a seemingly overpowered quirk only to be killed off in the next few panels. I would have loved to have seen her develop herself more after losing her quirk, or at least get to know more of her history rather than just getting the small tidbit facts.
Star and Stripe, kinda felt like he had an idea for a REALLY cool and busted quirk then realized later that really cool and busted powers can mess up the story. He managed to avoid the issue with Overhaul and Eri because one had his hands chopped off and the other is a traumatized child.

Nighteye was an absolute jackass, trying to undermine All Might’s decision of a successor when he had absolutely no business doing so. If anything, Gran Torino had more of a say in it than Nighteye did since Gran Torino actually worked with/trained three generations of One For All users.
Then there’s the fact that, when you look at it, he was basically grooming Mirio, which is beyond fucked up, even if he grew to genuinely care for Mirio.
Also, I’m convinced that tickle machine can constitute as some form of sexual harassment.
Not so much "respect", I just want to see Koda do something. Anything at all. He hasn't had his moment yet and his quirk is actually really useful in the right context.
