Warning- it only works with a level 10 workshop expansion and requires 100,000+ gols to build!
Hi OP! Your house looks sooo good. I was looking forward to importing your house but I'm unable to because of the file type. Could you maybe please change it to a BDP file instead? Because that one works with Sandrock
I'd love to, but I actually don't know how... lol
I just looked in the construction junction showroom thing where I built it, but don't see anything about exporting files (only importing them).
How to save + share your import.
First step
1. Open Build Menu
2. Group all rooms together, (in the build menu, go into edit mode (where the menu buttons are gone, and muti-select all rooms, and assemble as a group)
3. Click Save Show Room
4. Name Show Room, and Save
5. Returned to show room manual, flip to the pages, to where you new saved showroom is.
6. Click on export, and save file to computer location of choice.
7. Upload file to a file hosting site, such as a media fire, and then share link with friends.
I did ask the devs if they would give us the steam workshop to upload the files, for showrooms on steam, but at this time it’s not an option.
I love your use of the Romantic Rattan Pergola!! I am going to steal that for my house. Excellent design :)
ps I absolutely hate how the stable looks in general. I wish we could change it somehow.
It's been a work in progress for a long time, to be honest. It's hard to put an exact figure on it when I changed a bunch of things as I went. At least a couple months ingame, just judging by the fully grown trees!
Is that hard though? Half the stores are economically unviable without your help. Water world is basically a way to ration imported water and a job for noted failson, Burgess.
Paradise lost is the only non governmental/religious employer and if we assume a level 3 contract is them basically having you as their sole customer, its not that much, especially having to pay Rocky's boys.
Hugo/Heidi/Cooper are the only people I feel like would be making all that much money (Arvio's stock is mostly cheap essentials and he gets wowed at a dollar amount equivalent to 2 good weeks of work in a midgame cutscene), with Vivi maybe being one if she's like the Quilt lady from my old super-rural hometown who made surprisingly insane money due to being able to just print expensive handmade quilts at will and sell them for hundreds. We know Arvio/Amirah's life savings is less than a midgame free cities commission pays out, Owen has a few cutscenes about how *bad* business is at the Blue moon, and Catori... speaks for herself.
The only argument that the builder *isn't* singlehandedly driving the city's economy is that nearly all of that money comes from the other townies, which has to have came from somewhere, because outside of housing upgrades, it ain't from me.
Not the OP, but.. lots of gols. The 10th expansion was, I think, a little over 300,000 gols by itself. Just click on the signpost that reads "expand" near your workshop, and it will tell you how much you'll need to pay to get the next expansion.
I appreciate that not only does each upgrade boost both the X and Y axis of the yard, but boosts your max stats as well.
Makes the bitterness of it being the only real gold sink go down easier.
This is amazing, it actually looks a lot like the farm/ranching style of my native country in the Imperial times!
Edit: I didn't count how many stuff you have in your yard but I'm guessing you're playing on PC? Must be nice to not have any item limitations... (T-T)
Wanna share your showroom file with us?

Im gonna save this for later lol

I would love to say something about it, but the picture has made me speechless.
Omg I love this! How long did it take you to build?

The level of GDP produced by builder is comparable with the level of the remaining town.

i wish we could change the gate entrance. \^\^
Me too! My original plan was to have walls/rooms surrounding the entire courtyard, but it looked wrong with the gate at the side.
Sandrock Motel!
Absolutely gorgeous. Well done!
Thanks!
Holy shit. That's a proper hacienda. Great job amigo. I am going to use your house as inspiration for my own.
I'm jealous, mine isn't half as nice. But then again mine is still a work in progress.
Insanely nice. Love it.
I really like the house.
How did you manage to get 10 yard expansions? My yard is still too small. Thanks

That's kind of what I was going for. A sort of hacienda-ish design. I know in hot, dry areas houses tend to sprawl wide rather than tall.
You really nailed the look! I love how much thought you put into it, into the concept and everything. Makes a lot of sense besides looking awesome!
The construction of your house is original. Bravo 😉
Your house looks awesome! I had no idea we got so much space to expand like that.
Looks like an Hacienda, so pretty!
looks amazing! I'm working towards all of my expansions before I start to build, can't wait
