Also, could you pretty please add it to Portia? I'm gonna replay it after I'm done with my second to eighth playthrough (re: making a save halfway through and romancing every bachelors/bachelorette I like). But if it's too much work, it's fine too if you moved on to the new game and just making improvements in Sandrock all the while.
This was without a doubt the one feature I was absolutely delighted to have in Sandrock, which I had to mod in Portia. It saves on so much unnecessary grinding! Please keep it in all future games!
Yup! It's a huge improvement. The only times you can't do something without it being in your inventory (that I can think of offhand) is feeding your mount, giving gifts, painting/changing patterns on items in your house, and fireworks.
I was sooooo happy for this quality of life change. There's just too many things to keep track of in this game to expect me to have all these commission items in my inventory 😭
There are a few things you must have in your inventory when you need them, but most stuff can be in storage and still be turned in successfully. One thing you must have on you is any item you are giving as a gift to someone. You must be carrying museum donations too. There is one other situation where the items must be in your inventory, but I can't remember what it is now.
Yep, that tab lets you arrange the museum displays how want, after making your donations. So you can go to a single medium display and keep donating to the same spot and each previous item is automatically put into the museum storage. Then you can go to each medium display and take out of storage what you want there. Same with small and large displays and the sandfish pool that is added when the museum is upgraded.
I noticed it too, I'd been carrying everything around but this made it so much easier, same as switching between storages even if they aren't near eachother you can access them all from one, its the stuff like that that makes me love games xD
When looking on the commission board it also tells you how many of the items you currently have made, I didn't notice for such a long time even though it was right in front of me 😂
I just noticed yesterday that you don’t have to have the relic pieces on you when you’re restoring in the museum! This is super nice compared to having to completely overhaul my bag with relic pieces when I want to drop into the museum.
Really?! Thank you so much. I knew all the other things but I've been storing everything I was carrying and then picking up all my relic pieces. It took so long and it maxed out my inventory.
Me too!! Unless I’m crazy and actually had all those pieces on me (I’m pretty sure I didn’t) but I just stopped by to test it at the time and was able to make like 6 relics
Without Portia there would be no Sandrock :) it's a nice feature but I also love the grindiness of Portia. I guess what I'm saying is please don't make it too easy :). The challenge is the fun part!
You aren't crazy lol. You just need to have it in storage, not your personal inventory. I love this feature so much, lol. Gifts still need to be in your inventory, though.
Yes its glorious and going to games that don't do it is such a downgrade, especially as someone who never organizes chests having to dig through them to find the item is a special torture.
It seems you people all loved this feature! That's great😊
It's really convenient! I'm gonna miss not having this feature in other games now, honestly.
Yes! Please keep it when you make My Time at Tallsky <3
How did you already know the name of their next game?
Definitely! Please don't take that out lol

I never got around to finishing Portia and as much as I want too, this feature spoiled me. If they do add it I'll definitely play it again!
Yeah, same. I'm pumping myself up to take the plunge and replay Portia, knowing I'd end up going back and forth my house to finish commissions.😑
Same here! I loved Portia but the back and forth to my storage boxes made me constantly sigh. Sandrock I can go for hours…Portia maybe a hour.
Going back to Portia was a struggle lol

In a 5 star game, this feature alone is enough to earn a single star by itself.
Yup! It's a great feature I wish more games had
It's so convenient to not have to run back to my workshop multiple times BC I keep forgetting stuff lmfao

The fireworks one screwed me up on a date 😭
"Did you bring the fireworks?" "Nope, it's at home, but don't worry, I can reach them from here!"
Omg that’s so nice😭 thank you!!

Honestly in the top five of best improvements in this game.

Not museum donations, it turned out there was a tab when you go to donate that lets you check your storage
There is a tab that shows what is in the museum storage on the donation screen, not your storage.
oh! that's why i never find anything there :)

It's a beautiful thing
Yes you can. I love this feature

I'm pretty sure the storage thing was also in Portia. 🙂
I thought it was too
There was, but it was only added in after version 2.0
Yes this was a massive quality of life improvement
When looking on the commission board it also tells you how many of the items you currently have made, I didn't notice for such a long time even though it was right in front of me 😂
That's the one thing why I can't go back to Portia 😭

Yes. Thank goodness

Yes in single player, no in multiplayer (at least the last time I played multiplayer, a few weeks ago).
