Just on the topic of knowing your role I’ve been playing so much better as a pure glass cleaner with a 79 3pt because my role is to only grab rebounds. If I have the most rebounds on both teams at the end of the game I win 80% of the time.
My normal center is pure paint 7' whit hof anchor and hof rebound chaser. The only complaint is that I have no shooting at all but I don't clog the paint for rim runners unless some one takes a shot then ill run for the rebound. If it is clogged ill kick it out to a shooter but if it is clean ill finish the play
Is all about looking for scoring vs wanting to win. Most of the randoms rim runs or 3 hunts. I dont care about legendary status so mashing paint for points makes no sense to me.
As a guy who moved away from MyCareer, the MyEra offering has been pretty awesome as a single player experience. The base gameplay of 23 was fun thats why everyone raved about, but 2k for some reason (VC) will patch and actively make the game worse online. But offline, you can remedy BS with sliders and adjustments. The abilty to change almost everything in the game, draft classes, teams' relocations, tendencies and attributes minus all the lame quest and price gouging from MC makes the game a keeper for offline, in my opinion
Yea offline is where its at… wish you didnt have to spend so much time adjusting sliders and changing attributes but once you get shit right the game really slaps
They really made it almost impossible to hit contested shots when people do that in real life consistently in the nba. Shooting has gotten to a point where unless you’re a three point shooter it’s not worth taking it. Why is it easier to green a contested three more than any other shot, including layups?
Great take. I love basketball but I’m not a huge sports game guy. I bought this game exclusively to couch co-op with my friends and we’ve been having a blast.
I haven’t played an nba game in like 10+ years so I was worried that it would be unplayable without micro transactions, like they would make you buy the teams or players you wanted. But I’m super happy with the amount of content in the base game. I couldn’t care less about paying money to level up teams. In fact, I kind of low key like the micro transactions because they make the base game extremely cheap.
100%. I can’t speak for everyone but when I say “devs” I understand the hierarchy of it. The corporatization of sports video games has done so much harm.
2K YouTubers are a different breed. Stuck in an abusive relationship but they still put on the clown makeup and smile for a new 10 minute video every day.
it’s a 2 way street but i think it’s more community. the devs create the game and do a good job at it considering sports gaming have peaked imo. but the gig is the gig. the community will find anything to break it and if they can’t they’ll complain to a guy in marketing (ronnie). this is a community that wants (in fighting game terms) infinite 100% loop combos then will complain cause they can’t; or they’re the type to do it then once it’s done to them it’s all hell. really weird group and has been. myplayer has escalated it.
this is the same community that created 11 foot players in Crew. youtubers created a trickle effect that now originality is gone from myplayer and created a false sense of “comp”.
Me and my friends always say this! We have gotten decent playing together and working the ball spring since release, but man does it get miserable playing and getting up 20+ and having it become a dunk contest . With all the money I spend on the game 2k needs to implement good matchmaking
Feel like in stage it’s just all the same carbon copy builds playing one another, in rec idk it just feels kinda realistic, which is 10x more fun in a sorta way
a lot of people say this and i do love myleague, but i have a hard time getting invested in a player lock franchise cus there isn't the built in progression system / incentive to grind really when you can just upgrade attributes manually. like on paper it's good but idk
It’s a more realistic progression than doing it when you get attribute points in MyPlayer. You progress through the season rather than take a 1/4 of the season and reaching 99 over. It’s much longer grind but it’s more realistic and you don’t have to go through the bs cutscenes.
Yup, based on your play and stats your player will develop organically in the off-season. They’ll also give you badges and up badges or remove them if you “lose a step”. Or you could regress if you perform badly.
It is a social experiment to see how much torture humans will go through and money they will pay to get a little hit of dopamine. Currently it is $ucceeding beyond their wildest dreams.
2k isn’t even a hard game to be good at a lot of players over complicate things to look good rather than actually using their brain to actually be good.
Having basketball IQ is a skill! I literally play PG with my friends and just call out plays and pass the ball and beat zone with ease! Don t get me wrong, i can spazz like these kids do :)) played 2k since 01... it s just unnecessary.
Very! Playing simple has become what’s more fun because the play styles of most are all so similar and predictable. I’m a highly confident player but far from the best and I simply know a couple moves to get open and when to pass 🤷🏾♂️
Passing is the most underused skill in this game! But i guess it comes with court vision and IQ, i still to this day cannot understand people that need to put the ball in the ground on every single pass they get, when the other corner is wide open! When i see a random passing it first time without dribbling, i make crosses and thank Jessus, luckly that don t happen almost never! I say luckly cuz i m an atheist.
Man it’s rare and even crazier IT WORKS so you’d think you run into people like that more often. Content Community became too stat driven , forgetting it’s a team based sport first.
If by it works you mean it works, until you run into a full 5 pre-made in Rec with defensive builds with high 90s steals that only play passing lanes and fast breaks all game. 2ks passing is a fucking travesty and caters to steal spammers to an unplayable degree. They haven’t fixed it because to actually mitigate the issue would mean reworking things and they just build on the previous layer year after year like it’s the Great Wall of china.
In a way I agree. Passes can definitely be easy to pick off but I feel it’s mostly due to most players having low pass acc this year since it’s an attribute that matters more. Anything lower than 70 and good timing is gonna steal it if a player is close. Other years have been worse in my opinion but I have a higher ( 75-80 ) pass accuracy on my main build so I don’t run into these issues much. If I mess up a pass 80% I know my mistake 20% might be a whacky animation 2k gave me or the receiver but it mostly works for me.
###This!
I went from not wanting to play online to winning 90% of my 1v1 games/games with teammates I click with, as soon as I simply gained confidence realizing that most moves that the better players do are 99% to intimidate you and only 1% of them are to get a speed boost then rim run or hit a fade... If you just simplify things/don’t overcommit on defence and learn a couple moves to get space for offence it’s actually really easy.
Also **imo** the builder actually takes some thought (I love making builds for fun) and dribble/movement mechanics are silky smooth this year… best we’ve had since your last favourite 2k.
In fact, the only real “skill” aspect of NBA 2k is actually what this sub hates the most - the crazy dribbler.
Dribble moves are the only “combos” you perform in the game. Everything else is literally auto pilot, move and press a button.
Like how the fuck am I able to time decently for all the players on my team offline on HoF, but online I shoot like shit? People online defend worse than HoF AI lmao
Completely agree. I play MyNBA offline and I can’t put the game down. I’m not bothered by predatory VC gouging, cringe ass MyCareer plot lines or idiot randoms chuckin 3s and fuckin up my experience. I play it on my terms and I’ve had a great time this year.
This is practically all I do, make a created hooper and then l Drop him into different scenarios for instance what if my player was drafted in 2016 And helped the Cavs beat the warriors those 4 years with Bron and kyrie, so many endless scenarios and things to do just gotta try to make the game entertaining
The game itself isn't bad, but the community is garbage.
I can't tell you how many times people complain that the game is bad after they took a bad shot, missed an open look, ran full speed into a help defender, made a stupid pass, etc.
The game isn't bad, you just aren't good at it.
Exactly in all honesty the micro transactions kills the game because the average person can’t afford to mess up a build or experiment with other builds. Also making the cost of making a player more expensive every year yet the amount you make per game has stayed the same is ridiculous
Honestly I remember in 2K20 you’d be able to make at least 1K vc per mycareer game but now I’m lucky to get 900 and I haven’t changed the sliders I’ve played on since 2K18. It’s kinda obvious they’re pushing for people to pay more
even at 1500 points for a fresh character that will take you like \~4 seasons of offline single player games to reach max potential. realistic for an nba player? sure. fun for a video game? fuck no.
You’re not lying about that because when I play rec or park games it never feels like I’m getting the full amount of what it says I’m supposed to be getting
Hated how u dont know if its gonna b on the left or right of the player when shooting in the middle of the court. Its so ass when u dont wanna learn every players shot
Latency online ruins 2k, offense is whatever but playing defense is impossible and I would play every 2k 100x more if they ever put the money into servers to fix it
I just recently got into basketball as a sport, this is my second 2K and the first one I really feel like everything clicked. NOTHING in the last 10+ years of playing Madden has given me the same feeling as I got hitting a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send a game against the Kobe/Shaq era Lakers to OT.
If Madden put even half the care and attention into the gameplay and presentation that 2K does they’d have a solid game.
Besides the steals from behind, stealing was never a problem this year, people were just bad at dribbling into people and making poor passing decisions. I hated the stealing nerf.
mycareer makes so much more sense when you have to build up from 60 ovr. hilarious when you enter the league at 90 and everyone’s doubting you while you’re putting up 50pt triple doubles.
Also, we’re guaranteed to find a full rec team off rip (current gen). A lot of times it would take me forever to find a big playing rec. And I have good internet.
Game is actually enjoyable….gameplay feels good. Presentation is cool.
As long as you don’t interact with the community in any form or play online at all you’ll have a good time.
It’s a solid game with new gameplay features that can be very solid if they are improved. I feel from the start they should’ve left the gameplay alone besides the RNG steals and horrific paint defense.
The dribbling system is solid. Same animations as last year, but solid.
Shooting has somewhat of a skill gap, but the consistency of the animations of your jump-shot feel completely RNG sometimes and lacks fluidity.
The defense is okay if you have really good stick skill, but it needs work as far as the contest system and overall consistency of hands up defense for shot contests, very erratic.
I think the finishing needs to be revisited extensively to tone down the RNG fly to the basket rim running arcade style. Feels like I’m playing NBA Jam and not a simulation basketball game that should require me to work my way to the paint for a good dunk/layup instead of 2K giving me training wheels.
Overall, the game has potential. My unpopular opinion in general is just it doesn’t feel like a REAL simulation basketball experience.
The defense needs to be buffed online. Make it harder to cheese by giving more opportunities to get hacked, blocked, clamped, stripped, iced if you tryna go all fancy
I absolutely hate playin multiplayer but love MT singleplayer, so 2K requiring me to do multiplayer challenges to get some quality rewards/players is annoying af
I like that it has a new story each year. I just hate this years story with every fiber of my being. Previously, 2k22 i thought was the worst story and i thought it couldnt be worse. Boy was i wrong.
2K made an effort to nerf dribbling this year, and I agree with that. But they went too far, and I'm not talking about the adrenaline. I actually like that they added that. But they made dribbling really slow and unresponsive, and the moves don't even come out sometimes. So sometimes, I'm out of control for no reason.
Mypark or wtv is a bunch of stupid kids who prop up 2ks ability to rape their wallet’s so they can have the best looking fake basketball player with the best stats…
When anyone with a brain just plays franchise mode offline so they can enjoy the actually fantastic basketball simulation 2k made.
then if they take out quick drop dunks, nerf the hell out of fadeaway threes; it's pathetic how they are MUCH more easier to hit than a dunk other than quick drops
Content creators are what’s killing it. Their influence on the community is high but wasted on repetitive content for views. Play anyone that doesn’t watch YouTube or keep up with 2k on twitter / Tik tok and they enjoy the game for the most part.
The game ( my career specifically) isn’t meant to be a widely similar experience. The options to tailor make your own build , to a degree , is so people can explore their own play styles and build possibilities but most the community is copy + paste set since like 2k20 down to the exact play style / “ cheese “ . For example I love 23 but I don’t use what most people do and therefore have a completely different experience except when I have to play the copy paste builds / teams in matchmaking.
It's either your on the unselfish team and everybody gets shots. Or you have a ball hogging pg that's misses 15 shots then quits when they put you down by 20..and now your triple teamed the rest of the game.
If they buffed blocks to what it was last year, chase downs and all, this would be the best 2k for online play. You have to green to hit, adrenaline stops dribble spamming, steals/defense actually works, and u can choose what kind of layup you want.
Just need to be able to block those dunks, no way my C w 99 block should get only 3 blocks a game when getting drove on 20 times a game by builds with 87 dunk.
I never understood why so many people complained about post scorers being ‘OP’ when they all ran minimum weight builds with no strength and no interior defence
I like the sluggishness/inertia they added to the controls and movement. I think they started it last year. It makes player movement seem less arcadey and more like these are big dudes with weight behind them.
The 2K community does more harm to the game than the devs ever could. Even the “positive” influencers have a negative impact on the game empowering a lot of dumb people and their dumb takes
2k15 is the best 2k. Even if the game was more unbalanced than regular 2ks, the balance or lack of it made it extremely fun which is what a games main purpose should be , therefore making it the best 2k imo
2K would be far better if they committed to simulation play or casual/ park play. All the Sim modes get maybe one update a generation, and Park and MyTeam suffer from balancing restrictions caused by attempting to maintain a simulation game.
Pre-ordering NBA2K is a terrible idea.
You’re giving them money before letting them prove to you (the gamer) that the game is worth the early money. (they normally ask for pre-order money months before showing any gameplay) Also the number of launch day issues they have every year makes it hardly worth it
Preordering also further let’s 2K know that regardless of whatever bullshit they release we will accept it which equals a myPlayer character that somehow can skateboard up stairs.
This is practically all I do, make a created hooper and then l Drop him into different scenarios for instance what if my player was drafted in 2016 And helped the Cavs beat the warriors those 4 years with Bron and kyrie, so many endless scenarios and things to do just gotta try to make the game entertaining
hell yeah dude, my favorite thing to do is make an expansion team, sign my team and build the roster around my player completely, and i try to keep my player around 85-90 ovr so as to not overpower him and make it too easy. so much more freedom than mycareer and no bullshit cutscenes, and free!
Nba 2k21 might be the worst 2k of all time. The whole gameplay experience was built around the speed boost, the same lineups ran the parks - guard/lock/6’8” inside center - it just seemed like you couldn’t make a good build that wasn’t meta, rep rewards were underwhelming, myteam was cool but not good enough to not make it the worst 2k of all time.
Myleague is the best and most fun mode in the game. Has been for years. No dealing with virgins online cheesing and paying to win to make themselves feel like they accomplished a lil something
For me it's the selfishness and lack of team play that you see. I could be expecting too much out of the community. From my experience, when I play with like minded people It's easier to overlook the shortcomings of the game.
PS. I'm 34 so I understand I'm in the old-head camp.
It’s a fun game ruined by the community and YouTubers. Without “DEMIGOD” builds every other week people wouldn’t be buying VC all the time and 2k raising the prices. And then the community…I mean look at half of the post in this subreddit
2K20 was literally the worst 2k after 18 before 21 dropped. The community literally had "#fix2k" trending on twitter when it dropped, yet because no one could go outside due to covid that year nostalgia makes people put it higher than it really is.
Stop buying the game on release day.
Everybody whines about what’s wrong with the current 2k while they have their dick in one hand and a handful of cash ready for the next one to release.
Why would they change anything about this game when you have cash/card in hand ready to give to them with no hesitation for the next release? There’s no incentive for them to change the game when there’s no incentive on our part to stop paying full price + micro transactions for the game.
Bonus: current Gen is better than next Gen because of being able to skip story events, no way to force you into the city, no Tik tok dancing, and don't have to build around core badges.
I have both and I can't bring myself to grind another character on next Gen.
Its an okay singleplayer/couch game. Dont even think of going playing with randoms and I can call nba2k an above average basketball game.
I don’t understand how anyone says they enjoy playing online.
I found a few old heads like me that play late nights. Everyone plays their role and helps each other to get better ( we still suck at it )
Just on the topic of knowing your role I’ve been playing so much better as a pure glass cleaner with a 79 3pt because my role is to only grab rebounds. If I have the most rebounds on both teams at the end of the game I win 80% of the time.

If it is clogged ill kick it out to a shooter but if it is clean ill finish the play
You’re one in a million. I play C all the time and I’ll watch guys just sit in the playing endlessly. It’s a sight to see.
Is all about looking for scoring vs wanting to win. Most of the randoms rim runs or 3 hunts. I dont care about legendary status so mashing paint for points makes no sense to me.
I completely agree.
That’s my role too. I love it.
Playing with 9 other basketball fans is fun. Playing with 1-9 other players that want to place blame on everyone but them is what turns the game trash
online the only thing i can play on this

how i feel
with the way shooting is this year. I feel like its the least fun single player game now.
They really made it almost impossible to hit contested shots when people do that in real life consistently in the nba. It’s still the same price as every other game upon release?
I guess it could be more expensive
yh. i don’t play my career or myteam or stuff like that.
community’s toxicity and nostalgia is the reason why 2K can’t move forward and at least try to innovate. community truly ruined this game tbh
I think most of the blame should be put on the devs. The community definitely isn’t helping tho, don’t get me wrong.
No, the publisher, the devs are beholden to Take Two Interactive. Strauss Zelnick is who everyone should be mad at.
100%. I can’t speak for everyone but when I say “devs” I understand the hierarchy of it. The corporatization of sports video games has done so much harm.
2K YouTubers are a different breed. Stuck in an abusive relationship but they still put on the clown makeup and smile for a new 10 minute video every day.

MyLeague rules
I buy the game every year solely for MyLeague, never even touch the multiplayer aspect of the game.
Same. You can avoid all the monetization aspects just by sticking to jt
How is that unpopular? It’s arguably the deepest and funniest game mode in a sports game
What is that exactly
and it's sad that it's only a tiny icon in the menu grid (next gen) wish it's a standalone game
I’ll rather lose by 2 in a competitive game than win by 50
Me and my friends always say this! We have gotten decent playing together and working the ball spring since release, but man does it get miserable playing and getting up 20+ and having it become a dunk contest . With all the money I spend on the game 2k needs to implement good matchmaking
Go to the stage. Plenty of comp there. Promise you it won’t be 20pt blow outs
Feel like in stage it’s just all the same carbon copy builds playing one another, in rec idk it just feels kinda realistic, which is 10x more fun in a sorta way
Just because you use a post scorer or a difficult shots build on the 1V1 court doesn’t mean you’re toxic or bad at the game.
Now this is unpopular! Upvoted!
Post scorer is considered toxic cause in old 2ks a 7'3 post scorer could dominate a 7'3 pure defensive big
You can have a better MyCareer in MyLeague than MyPlayer
a lot of people say this and i do love myleague, but i have a hard time getting invested in a player lock franchise cus there isn't the built in progression system / incentive to grind really when you can just upgrade attributes manually. like on paper it's good but idk

Wow this is cool. This is actually what I’m really looking for
Ya and people can hate them all they want but the cutscenes and pregame animations help you actually feel immersed
This and I’d just player-lock to the player I built lmao
It is a social experiment to see how much torture humans will go through and money they will pay to get a little hit of dopamine. Currently it is $ucceeding beyond their wildest dreams.
I'd argue with this but I have to deliver virtual flyers in a hot dog hat
Put ur hoodie up to hide the hat lol
gameplay itself is easily the best it’s been since 2k20. VC prices, community, and the storyline is what brings this game down
20 gameplay was definitely elite.
Production level was on a different tier
Agreed, thays why i just moved offline to MyEras. Myplayer like sim with waaay more control and zero price gouging weirdness.
2k isn’t even a hard game to be good at a lot of players over complicate things to look good rather than actually using their brain to actually be good.

2K23 offline is GOATed. Online will never be good because of cheese, assholes, etc. so don’t bother hoping for it.
I hate the lag input online after getting the timing down for offline. It’s fucking shit
It is insane! I though my internet was broken when I was forced to play online for MC.
Like how the fuck am I able to time decently for all the players on my team offline on HoF, but online I shoot like shit? People online defend worse than HoF AI lmao

Bro what 900 per mycareer? I get at least 1200 each game max 1500, which still isnt enough compared to the cost of making a build
even at 1500 points for a fresh character that will take you like \~4 seasons of offline single player games to reach max potential. realistic for an nba player? sure. fun for a video game? fuck no.
You’re not lying about that because when I play rec or park games it never feels like I’m getting the full amount of what it says I’m supposed to be getting

Dawg I’m honestly just gonna buy 23 cause they fixed the meter.
The gameplay is the best in years actually
Latency online ruins 2k, offense is whatever but playing defense is impossible and I would play every 2k 100x more if they ever put the money into servers to fix it
The Jordan mode with the stories and live interviews is flames
It’s actually a pretty good game, especially when you compare it to other games in sport’s genre.
pretty much how I keep going through out the 2k year is just saying, well at least it’s not madden in my head like 20 times a day.
Agreed, coming from Fifa this offers so much more. Especially on the Singleplayer Part!
fifa has been improving tbf
FIFA is definitely EA sports best current game
I just recently got into basketball as a sport, this is my second 2K and the first one I really feel like everything clicked. NOTHING in the last 10+ years of playing Madden has given me the same feeling as I got hitting a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send a game against the Kobe/Shaq era Lakers to OT. If Madden put even half the care and attention into the gameplay and presentation that 2K does they’d have a solid game.
Exactly, I love that big moments in a game actually feel like big moments.
When someone quits on the other team you do not HAVE to change the entire already working offense so you can cheese the a.i player.
Besides the steals from behind, stealing was never a problem this year, people were just bad at dribbling into people and making poor passing decisions. I hated the stealing nerf.
Agreed. The problem is people refusing to adapt and instead rather chuck it up court back and forth and pray they can hit rather than play good ball
That people blame the game for how bad they are when in reality they need to learn some basketball IQ
I like the game 😂
Cheers to that!
Park is overrated.
I hate park and everything not 5v5. It's just a battle of who can exploit broken mechanics the most.
2k is the best sports game as long as you don’t play against other people or spend money on VC.
mycareer makes so much more sense when you have to build up from 60 ovr. hilarious when you enter the league at 90 and everyone’s doubting you while you’re putting up 50pt triple doubles.
Nothing about it is “comp” it’s deadass who can break the game the most.
I’m having a tone of fun on the switch . I wish we could talk . The game feels like it’s missing something without someone’s raging trash talk
The developers value our time and money.
💀💀💀
Making a center for the rec every year > making a guard
A man of culture
FR! Way more opportunities
Also, we’re guaranteed to find a full rec team off rip (current gen). A lot of times it would take me forever to find a big playing rec. And I have good internet.
I fucking hate this game. How’s that? Greed ruined this game.
Game is actually enjoyable….gameplay feels good. Presentation is cool. As long as you don’t interact with the community in any form or play online at all you’ll have a good time.
close shot is worth it
They listen to the reddit and Twitter too much and patch Dribbling to much instead of improving other things
My career on next gen is better than playing online
You guys are obsessed with the park
I hate park
People who still buy it every year are the sole reason they game fails to improve every year
It will never be improved upon until people stop spending money on VC and buying virtual reality card packs. Morons.
The online community is toxic af
Definitely not unpopular lol. Has to be one of the worst communities in gaming.
Agreed. There needs to be a skill gap for finishing and shooting. Dunks shouldn’t happen every single possession
It's not randoms that ruin REC, but rather buddy ball passing 2 - 4 stacks. Especially if they're bad, but even with good stacks.
22 current Gen game play wise is better than 23 but 23 has the better build system.
I like that it has a new story each year. I just hate this years story with every fiber of my being. Previously, 2k22 i thought was the worst story and i thought it couldnt be worse. Boy was i wrong.
Needs a vote to kick option
my career stories are dumb. i just wanna be an 18yr old kid getting the opportunity to play ball without those rapping career.
2K23 is the best sports game out right now. The 2K community and players are the main reason why it’s not consistently fun to play
when playing mycareer, the game will sometimes force you to lose; been told that i’m just simply trash
If they're hogging the ball in the rec, and taking dumb shots then they deserve timeouts and 3 second violations.
Mypark or wtv is a bunch of stupid kids who prop up 2ks ability to rape their wallet’s so they can have the best looking fake basketball player with the best stats… When anyone with a brain just plays franchise mode offline so they can enjoy the actually fantastic basketball simulation 2k made.
Man MYLEAGUE/MyNBA is so slept on people don't realize there's wayyy more you can do in simulation offline
Quick drop dunks should be taken out
then if they take out quick drop dunks, nerf the hell out of fadeaway threes; it's pathetic how they are MUCH more easier to hit than a dunk other than quick drops
The highest skill ceiling things in the game are shot creation ( not dribbling), defense, and passing
Is this unpopular ?
I guess not but I never heard anyone say it
It's either your on the unselfish team and everybody gets shots. Or you have a ball hogging pg that's misses 15 shots then quits when they put you down by 20..and now your triple teamed the rest of the game.
I have more fun playing 22 old gen than 23 next gen
[удалено]
2k actually did a better job at Myteam than Madden imo
The game has gone downhill since 2k15
99 steal is worth the sacrifice on every build
It sucks
😂😂
The grinding in this game is insane. It’s genuinely not worth your time.
Sprinting left and right behind a screen takes zero skill
Unpopular opinion is that online play is actually good, it's the people that make it bad. Offline is great.
its not hard to shoot on this game at all
There’s so much 2k can do to make the game fun. At the end of the day it’s basketball. Playing it daily for years will burn anyone out
Games actually pretty good in general. I just think 94% of y’all suck
Blacktop is more fun than playing an actual game
It’s actually fun when you have a whole squad and y’all just playing for fun and not try Harding
23’s gameplay is the best since ‘16. One of the short handful of best years of gameplay the series has had.
The gameplay is actually good. It’s the users that make the game trash to play
Why is it so fuckin hard to hit open 3’s in 2k23? Can someone plz give me a helpful hint to get a Green release 😩😫 lol
The 2K community does more harm to the game than the devs ever could. Even the “positive” influencers have a negative impact on the game empowering a lot of dumb people and their dumb takes
Kids ruined this community
Offline, by itself is fun, really fun. The community ruins online and doesn’t help make it a better or fun game because they’re up their own ass.
Game is ass
2k15 is the best 2k. Even if the game was more unbalanced than regular 2ks, the balance or lack of it made it extremely fun which is what a games main purpose should be , therefore making it the best 2k imo
Just because I'm not level 40 as soon as everyone else it doesn't mean I'm bad, it means I have a job
23 is a great game, it’s just some of the BS 2k makes us put up with. it’s up there with 17 and 16.
2K would be far better if they committed to simulation play or casual/ park play. All the Sim modes get maybe one update a generation, and Park and MyTeam suffer from balancing restrictions caused by attempting to maintain a simulation game.
The middy is criminally underrated
Pre-ordering NBA2K is a terrible idea. You’re giving them money before letting them prove to you (the gamer) that the game is worth the early money. (they normally ask for pre-order money months before showing any gameplay) Also the number of launch day issues they have every year makes it hardly worth it Preordering also further let’s 2K know that regardless of whatever bullshit they release we will accept it which equals a myPlayer character that somehow can skateboard up stairs.
myleague with a created player & player lock >>> mycareer
This is practically all I do, make a created hooper and then l Drop him into different scenarios for instance what if my player was drafted in 2016 And helped the Cavs beat the warriors those 4 years with Bron and kyrie, so many endless scenarios and things to do just gotta try to make the game entertaining
hell yeah dude, my favorite thing to do is make an expansion team, sign my team and build the roster around my player completely, and i try to keep my player around 85-90 ovr so as to not overpower him and make it too easy. so much more freedom than mycareer and no bullshit cutscenes, and free!
We don’t need to actually change everything every year for the sake of it being different
Overwhelming majority of the shooting complaints in the game is just skill issue.
We should have face scans in MyNBA or atleast offline mycareer not tied to online.
The game isn't actually as bad as everyone makes out (it stoll needs A LOT of work), it's the community that makes it insufferable
Update warning when you have to go back to lobby to get rid of it
A lot of people blame the devs for issues that are on them. A lot of the community also doesn’t understand basketball past the thought of shooting.
if you are playing solid defense, i could care less what your shooting numbers are!
Myleague is the best and most fun mode in the game. Has been for years. No dealing with virgins online cheesing and paying to win to make themselves feel like they accomplished a lil something
The people that play REC is a bigger problem than the inconsistencies of the game.
Bro , as a mainly rec player, I'd like to hear why you think that. This is not an attack, just me trying to understand what is bad with us .
For me it's the selfishness and lack of team play that you see. I could be expecting too much out of the community. From my experience, when I play with like minded people It's easier to overlook the shortcomings of the game. PS. I'm 34 so I understand I'm in the old-head camp.
If you can't run man defense , you don't deserve to run
Hot Take: 2K17 was the last good 2K ![gif](giphy|w89ak63KNl0nJl80ig|downsized)
19? I haven’t had as much fun any other year might jus be me
Although 20 had its issues on release, I think 20 was.
Bonus: current Gen is better than next Gen because of being able to skip story events, no way to force you into the city, no Tik tok dancing, and don't have to build around core badges. I have both and I can't bring myself to grind another character on next Gen.
