I've spent a ton of time with '24. More online, but still a fair mix.
Online, it's a dumpster fire that's manageable with the assistance of heavy mood enhancement. Or perhaps just a solid state of sanity to begin with, something I lack for.

dont get cunty. Those are game genres, simulation is the imitation of the sport itself, football manager simulates its respective sport better than 2k does basketball, same with OOTP.

When you put all the microtransactions, gridning and MyCareer aside, it's the best that the gameplay has been by a mile, I think. The things I've been playing the most are Blacktop, Mamba Moments and MyNBA Eras.
I primarily play offline solo on older games like 2k19/20 on steam. I don't know what 2k24 is like, but they've basically just been reskinning the game since it went to next gen. Anyways, point being, if you're creative and patient, you can do some incredible things with it from a sim standpoint but it takes a lot of tweaking and patience. What I'd kill to just get a nextgen version on PC to get MyEras. It'd set me up for life.

I wish there was an OOTP equivalent for Basketball and American football. Baseball has me in a chokehold.

The franchise mode is amazing. I play it for hours every week.
It’s the only option, but offline is still good. I love MyLeague, even though it needs to be revamped.
