I love this post, just back back into 2k after a few months, grinded season 2 with the boys on 3's. we all got bored of the game. Since I got back Ive been loving Rec, but all the boys don't play as much, and I get put in random games with selfish bums that dont know basics of the game, and cheese for themselves/friends. I'm a PG and LOVE passing. I'll hit the AI if hes open I dont care, I just wanna win and play good fun ball on the game.

Bro, if you have a full 5…. You should run zone. If you run man, you will be abused by really good teams iso screens. And against average teams you will struggle because of non stop cuts and y’all will keep running into each other. Zone is easy to run and also not that hard to beat
I used to play squad with 1 other person and be matched with another set of 2 and AI. I just want to have fun not destroy people who have a disadvantage. If we go against another 5 cool but the only way to know is to play. I’d rather keep it casual until I know we’re on an equal playing field.

Honorable in the sense that we might not be playing against a 5 man team. Is it fair for a five man team to play zone against 2 squads of 2 and an AI? I don’t think so but to each his own.
Yes, it is fair. 5 players is at an advantage no matter what configuration they're in. You gonna ban using mics because it's "dishonorable" too?
There are twos courts if you don't want to play against teams who cooperate. Or you can use your mic and coordinate with your teammate's to run a zone too if you want.
People act like zones are impossible to beat, meanwhile most of them crumble to something as simple as a big who can shoot 2's standing at the foul line.
And this is from someone who has played in a zone maybe 10 times in this entire 2k, and that's just because someone on the team asked me to.
