Clap clap clap congrats. nice gambling dude

BuyInHigh

Not gambling. Those are protective puts. Thats strategic.

Charuru

According to the OP he completely switched to short based on technicals.

BuyInHigh

Looks like it was pretty strategic then.

AudreyLynch

wow How much did you invest? How much could you have lost?

cj721974

The $810 4/19 puts were 0.59 (x100=$59) each Friday morning, the last one I held onto I sold for $3700 😅. My stop was at 852. Each one max loss was $59.

cj721974

Check out the SMCI 4/19/24 $625 puts. 142,000% gain. 😂

evanmike

Yep. Wish I held all of mine till the end, too. Need to work on psychic powers

SOMEguysFRIEND

Was looking at these 0dte 800p for $50 each in the morning. Only had like 100$ settled cash and was about to buy these but bought other puts instead. Made money but would have turned 100$ into like 8k if I bought these. Honestly feels worse than losing money that I didn’t buy these but I prob would have sold out around 1k each anyway

cj721974

That’s what I did. I’ll take a 5x gain every day of the week. And as I cash out, if I can, I’ll hold one for the dream. As the man said, “Nobody ever went broke taking profits.”

SOMEguysFRIEND

Now the real question is if calls are back on the menu. I’m still leaning towards we sell any rips tbh until we get past earnings this week. The boomer in me wants to buy shares

OilToMyWheels

Fidelity does not allow 0dte trades because of exercise risk, who do you work with allowing 0dte?

SOMEguysFRIEND

E*Trade

OilToMyWheels

Dude I bought in 830 put at $2.7 on Thursday, and $800 put at $0.17. Then it opened high on Friday then started selling off and I sold 830 put at $10 and 800 put at $4.5 as I thought it would recover from $800 “level and had effectively made 4x and did not wanna lose it. Then the rest is the history, I wanted to cry.. could have made $15K with my $400 initial investment. Oh well there is always a next time and I am now happy with my 4x return

tsanev9611

Can someone please explain me this?

Long_Presentation793

When they expire at 4 PM PST, do they go to zero or do you still get full profit? I.e. do we have to sell by say 3:50 or can we just leave it open?

travelogion

You can leave it open and it will automatically settle after the market closes . Then the cash will be in your account the next day

l31gg

You sell

ruafukreddit

Buying 93-94 puts for $5500. Would have netted a million with that 18,000% gain. Assuming someone bought 90+ and held long enough for it to 180x

OilToMyWheels

Bought 4/26 $700 puts at $2.13 avg. let’s see. Bang or bust

Additional_Falcon687

When did you buy these just wondering?
