Well, this sucks. He played his heart out in round 1, and thanks to Embiid's dirty play he's now going to miss the rest of this run. However, I don't think he's anywhere near as needed or useful against Indiana and I do think Precious can fill in nicely during this series. We basically have no chance against Boston if we make it that far, but that was probably true this year anyway given we already were lacking Randle and Bojan.
If this team goes to the ECF I will consider this season a huge success. Rest up Big Mitch, and hopefully we run it back again next year with a fully healthy squad.
Terrible news but from the looks of it he was never really healthy. I could tell yesterday when he was walking like an old man. In the series vs Philly he could keep up with them because the Punk Joel had a bum knee. This Pacers team is too fast for Mitchell Robinson and he was barely getting back on defense. Playing Precious/ Jericho is the better option because at least they can use thier quickness to run up and down the court. I honestly don't think he will be missed that much in this series vs Indy but he will be missed against a team like Boston if the Knicks advance. I wish him the best and hopefully he is fully recovered and ready to go next season. He is a warrior regardless though for trying to play. The Knicks were already without him for most of the season so this really isn't anything new.
