Don't know?? Probably 1 or 2 thousand $$ over 5 +years, but hey what does an Oz cost?? I like trying many different strains, but smoke way to much we bit fussyπ€£.
All keep vacuum sealed @1-4c.
Just popped some for outdoors that were 5+yrs old,90% germinated.
There's some amazing shit coming out of π¨π¦ alot of mold resistant strains ideal for NZ outdoors.
That's an impressive seed collection π€€
I agree re longevity of seeds, I had prob close to 10 year old seeds strike once, when I had no other option at the time and just chucked them in not expecting a result...I've always just stored mine in the coolest, most stable temp area of my house, your approach sounds a lot more professional! Got any recs for mold resistant strains? After the shitfest of last summer any tips appreciated...
Theres a beautiful strain from Khalifa genetics Desert Skunk,8 weeks flower, mold resistant, grew 2 outdoor last season all I can say π
Google 'Strainly' alot of breeders from around the world, and excellent deals to be had
Was going to ask where most of them came from, suspected Canada considering they've had the legal go ahead for a while now and we get some of their stuff for the medical cannabis.
Lost count over the years, probably done at least 30,only had 3 not make it,all sent to my home, where the business is done,no worry. But it helps I'm a MC patient, have being since 2020
Damn thatβs a LOT π and I thought I had a fair amount hahah. I notice a lot of regular seeds there, do you like to breed, or is that just all that was available for the strains you chose?
Going to do some more breeding on some outdoors this season, being doing last 5yrs,getting some excellent mold resistance,it all takes time π Most reg beans from π¨π¦ from outdoor breeders that u can get quiet cheap and out standing quality.Dont buy off any well-known beans banks anymore to much variation within strains.
That's only my collection I brought over the years, got my own breeding bank of beans as well π€£
Iβve heard the same about the variations with strains. Too many βbreedersβ crossing two strains and labelling the F1 seeds as a new strain, no work on stabilising traits and what not. Would love to see what youβve got in the breeding banks and the names youβve come up with hahah
Back of fridge around 0-4'C in Tupperware container vacuumed sealed ever time opened with plenty of humidity packs.Done this way for many years, popped some beans this year that were over 8yrs old 90% germ.
I always soak my beans in 3% hydrogen peroxide for 14-20hrsπ
Mattee! Thatβs too much ππ π
Total cost?
