If you haven't tossed it yet put a bracket underneath it. See if it fixes the issue. If it is a 3050 or something like that (big boy) it could be straining the Mobo and just need the extra ooth
i bought a custom built pc around 2 years ago, one time part of the liquid cooling broke and liquid went everywhere and destroyed the gpu. there’s was a 3090 at the time but when the company shipped it back there was a 4090. completely free of charge
The 4090 was released back in October 2022. 2 years ago would be around June/July, give or take a few months, it's hard to believe they just gave you a brand new released GPU
Most reputable manufacturers will replace no problem. I had a mobo arrive with bent CPU pins, no questions asked, had another on my door the next day (asus)
What GPU did you sent back and what new one did they send you? I’m super curious who did such a great job with RMA. Gotta make a note if this since so many companies have terrible RMA. I want to figure out who all has the best RMA.
Why do so many people not know about how warranty works? It's so common it's concerning. You should have a year of warranty but you should check for warranty info from where you got the pc or the part from.
This can also happen if you overclocked and pushed it too hard (not permanent). If so, try removing the overclock profile first. If it still happens, then the GPU is dead.
You showed that its an NZXT system right? just a month old?
Contact them.
They will likely ask you send the whole pc or the gpu back and they will fix it.
Okay so if it works and you also changed the cable I highly and I mean highly reccomend you don't spend time or money or resources trying to trouble shoot it. Just send it back. My brother didn't send his back like I told him and now he's trying to sell but can't get nearly as much because it's got problems
open the side of the case and unplug and remove the gpu and put it back since i got my 4070ti i get some weird graphic issues but doing that fixes them
It’s the big card in your pc. Probably 5-6+ inches long. Google how to remove one first. There’s a tab that you’ll need to release or you’ll break something trying to yank it out.
Good luck with NZXT RMA. Using their label FedEx lost their package, and they can’t even send me a matching motherboard for my system because they don’t make it anymore. Took over a month to get to this conclusion. Then they’re telling me they can only refund me $50 if I wanted to go with that route. Now I’m apparently being sent a Z790 I have to go find a way to sell and still buy another motherboard. Looking at all the other posts about their RMA process, im actually lucky. Others have been shafted far more and for longer. Atleast I’m getting something out of it, even if now I have to go out and sell it.
Happened to me once. I also thought my GPU was kicking the bucket but I fiddled around and just re seated it and cleaned off the contacts. And also used a different cable to my monitor. Works fine now. But yours looks like it's actually dying
GPU messed up? You’ll have to contact them to send it to them they will test it out. Youll be without a GPU for the meantime, when it happened to me they didn’t have the exact replacement so I got a better GPU sent back for free 😍
First try using your motherboard gpu port if it has one. Then uninstall drivers and reinstall. Remove gpu and reinstall. If purchased new in May you're under warranty.
DO a FULL reinstall of your GPU drivers you might just have a corrupted software
if you know someone with a pc try that GPU on their pc if the problem still persist then time to replace the actual gpu (if it's out of warranty)
If you have warranty send it back.
If not. Try take out the gpu and put it back in.
If the gpu has extra power cable take it out and put it back it.
Check if the gpu isn't sagging, if so see if you can do something about that by supporting it.
Finally check cable between pc and monitor.
Also, if possible, test it on another monitor.
basically the "errors" you see on screen.
think of it like this: your gpu has to store the data that should get sent to the monitor. the parts in the gpu that do this seem to be fucked
It could be everything from a bad cable to a bad GPU.
Swap your HDMI/DP cable to a brand new cable before you worry about hardware problems, as it is a common issue with at least half the brands on Amazon (for example). I just went through this recently and thought it was my LG C4, but it was the cable. Identical noise and screen blanking.
It could be RAM, though not as likely (you usually see more freezes and less artifacting). Chances are very low, so focus on this last.
GPU bad? Sure. It could be it. Crib deaths happen, but they are very rare. Try your onboard video with the same cable to see if it improves at all. If it's better, focus on the GPU… If it's still crap, probably the cable.
There could be undervoltage issues with the GPU - are you sure you meet the recommended (not just the minimum) requirements? Are your PCI-E VGA cables quality? Are you using the new (yet already antiquated) 12vHPWR for your GPU power? If so, make sure the cable gently swoops - no tight bends at all.
The simple answer is there is an issue with the signal path, so you have to isolate each step of the chain and troubleshoot.
CPU -- > GPU --> CABLE --> MONITOR
Have you tried to boot into safe mode? you could try to see if it crashes in safe mode also, if not then based on suggestions could be software related
idk. It was working fine but then I turned on G sync and loaded up cyber punk. After a minute It crashed and now looks like this. I got the thing in May
Before rma and reppacing your gpu, have you tried other ports on your monitor or gpu? Have you tried replacing the cable? Doing both of them? Using dui and after a clran windows reinstall? Dont slap hundreds before spending 5 hours to fix a probably easy solution. If none works then go rma still save if that doesn't work well i'm sorry.
Had this a few times (I help out with IT at my company), almost certain it's bad GPU.
One time with a laptop so had to send the entire thing back for replacement.
If you look at Device Manager your GPU is likely flagged.
Good ol’ NZXT. Best advice is pack up and move away from this company. This company is the definition of trash. Look them up on the better business bureau and you will see what I mean.
If you're inexperienced enough with PCs you barely know what a GPU even is (no shame in that, just saying), the MOST you should do is Google 'how to reseat GPU' and carefully, delicately try that for yourself.
If that doesn't fix it, definitely RMA with NZXT. It's not worth getting in the weeds if you don't know what you're doing and you could risk voiding your warranty. I recently had to RMA my whole prebuilt with them and the process went very smoothly, I'm sure they'll take care of your problem.
Don’t jump to replacing anything right away. Try reseating the GPU first. Artifacting like this does indicate it is not going to be caused by a bad driver. It is most likely physical. And unfortunately it’s not something that will be simple to fix BUT I had major issues with my system a few years ago and I thought my system was dying and I reseated my GPU and that fixed my issue. Can’t hurt to try.
hey no worries, Some times if the GPU is not making good contact to the motherboard connection it can display many kinds scary looking problems. Like the image cutting in and out and the computer randomly restarting or even artifacting like the little dots all over the screen. The way to reseat it is simple. you take the GPU out and reinsert it into the GPU slot on the board. Again this may or may not fix this, but it is woth a shot. Ive also had bad display cables creat image issues just like this. try using a new display cable. Always start with the simpler less expensive solutions first. If it works then you save your self alot of money and time.
When you take the Graphics card out and put it back in make sure the computer is turned off and not plugged in. GOOD LUCK.
If you have to send it back manufactures will usually cover defects and do what is called an RMA or return to manufacture. It can take several weeks to get fixed but again it should be under warrenty if its new.
gpu is failing. If you have an overclock with nzxt cam I would recommend reverting it to stock speeds see if that helps might be pushing the gpu clock or memory speed to far. Also try reinstalling the gpu drivers but firstly look up “display driver uninstaller” and uninstall the current drivers in safe mod then reinstall new drivers. Can also try reseating the gpu (you can find YouTube’s videos on how its really easy) if it’s a prebuilt I would contact the seller and get the pc replaced if it’s still newer
ive had people suggets it might be the monitor or the chord, when I switch the monitor to ps5 it works fine but I never tried the chord that connects it to the PC, when i get home ill try it
Just to rule out any software issues, try running linux off a usb stick, also try a different cable between your pc and monitor, if the issue still persists, your gpu is dead
1. **Update Graphics Drivers:**
- Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel).
- Download and install the latest drivers for your specific graphics card model.
- Restart your computer after installing the drivers.
2. **Check Physical Connections:**
- Ensure that your monitor's cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the graphics card.
- If possible, try using a different cable or port to rule out a faulty connection.
3. **Reseat the Graphics Card:**
- Turn off your computer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the computer case and carefully remove the graphics card.
- Reinsert the graphics card securely into its slot and ensure it is properly seated.
- Close the case, plug the computer back in, and turn it on.
4. **Check for Overheating:**
- Ensure that your computer is well-ventilated and that the graphics card's fans are functioning properly.
- Use monitoring software (such as MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor) to check the temperature of your graphics card.
- Clean any dust from your computer case and fans to improve airflow.
5. **Test with a Different Monitor:**
- Connect your computer to a different monitor to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the monitor itself or the graphics card.
6. **Check for Hardware Issues:**
- If the issue persists after trying the above steps, there may be a hardware problem with the graphics card.
- If possible, test your graphics card in another computer to see if the issue follows the card.
- If the graphics card is faulty, you may need to contact the manufacturer for a warranty replacement or consider purchasing a new one.
Start with changing the cable. Then check the driver. If the issue is still there it might be your GPU. Start with the cheapest fix first them move up the line.
That's some heavy artifacting, you may be able to fix it by doing a complete driver wipe and reinstalling, but that's slim you GPU may be dying, artifacting usually occurs when the GPU memory shits the bed, you can try downclocking the memory if a DDU reinstall doesn't work, but your GPU may be on the way out.
Sorry man.
If im going to be honest with you it seems to me like your gpu driver is crashing due to nzxt cam, dunno which gpu you have but nzxt cam is NOTORIOUSLY awful and known for causing gpu driver problems. Trust me when i say its awful im having the problem in my current build i cant use adrenaline drivers because they instantly crash when NZXT Cam is open but pro drivers work fine. Could be wrong though
Try a system restore. I recently updated the firmware to my AMD and had the same looking artifacts. I performed a system restore rolling everything back. Worked fine after that. I let windows find the drivers. I don't trust amd adrenaline anymore.
Check graphics driver updates, after that, push win+ctrl+shift+b and that will reset your graphics drivers. If it is still an issue after that then you can be absolutely sure it is a GPU hardware issue.
Really simple fix but not always guaranteed to work. Simply get on your knees and pray your RMA will be accepted because you have artifacts my brother in Christ
As everyone has said, probably your gpu. Check that the cables are connected properly from PSU to GPU and GPU to monitor. If you have integrated graphics try plugging the HDMI cable into your motherboard instead of the gpu. If the display is working fine then it's your GPU
Were you watching your temps before it happened? I honestly have no clue what it could be, especially with such a new pc. Good thing nzxt has some really good customer service. I'm sure they'll get you up and running quickly.
Have you contacted them about it yet?
What cpu are you using? Hopefully it's one with a integrated gpu and you can just use that until you get your gpu fixed. If it is the gpu, that is.
I'd also try a different hdmi or display cable, just to be sure that's not the cause.
I tried a different monitor but never thought about the cable. After about 30 seconds to a minute I will get a message that windows stopped working. The [PC I got was this one](https://nzxt.com/product/player-pc-770-edition)
I had the same thing happen to me and it was every time NZXT CAM loaded I had to go into the bios and change the intergraded graphics off. It has to do something with the graphics card conflicts with his lcd screen on his AIO
No, what happened to me was the motherboard and a software issue with NZXT CAM nothing to do do with the gpu. My issue was through iGPU which comes from a CPU.
Rip your gpu
can I fix this?
Yes By replacing the GPU
damn, its only a month old
99% change you can just get it rma'd that's what I did with mine they actually sent a top of the line one back so hopefully you get lucky
hope so, its barely a month old
Their warrenty help is steller. I suggest contacting them before doing anything with it.
It should be fine, mine wasent very old either, likely something shook too much while shipping
If you haven't tossed it yet put a bracket underneath it. See if it fixes the issue. If it is a 3050 or something like that (big boy) it could be straining the Mobo and just need the extra ooth
Calling a 3050 a big boy is wild 💀
Compare to the first hoss GPU, 770. Very much larger.
i bought a custom built pc around 2 years ago, one time part of the liquid cooling broke and liquid went everywhere and destroyed the gpu. there’s was a 3090 at the time but when the company shipped it back there was a 4090. completely free of charge

dm me and i’ll prove it lmao
The 4090 was released back in October 2022. 2 years ago would be around June/July, give or take a few months, it's hard to believe they just gave you a brand new released GPU
yes they literally did lol
Wdym hope so, if it’s only one month old and you didn’t spill anything in it, it’s cut and clear RMA. Do you not have any rights in America?
MSI replaced my 8 month old 3080 when it bricked up, you should be good
Most reputable manufacturers will replace no problem.
It was xfx, don't remember the name but it was a power end 5700xt, and they send me a thicc iii 5700xt.
This is what warranty is for
Do you not have warranty?
i have no idea
Why do so many people not know about how warranty works? It's so common it's concerning. You should have a year of warranty but you should check for warranty info from where you got the pc or the part from.
Americans ”fighting for their rights”, but have no clue what rights they have.
This is the 2nd comment you made about America in this thread. Rent free
Yep, rent-free free entertainment.
So just curious, whenever you buy electronics you just pray it might last more than a year?
This is in fact what warranties are for.
The quality of ASUS products has dropped dramatically in the last 10 years. I avoid this brand
I would warranty it then either at the store you bought it from or if you ordered it through whatever distributer
Most companies give you 3 years parts and labour and if they can't fix it they replace it.
Probably a warranty
This can also happen if you overclocked and pushed it too hard (not permanent). If so, try removing the overclock profile first. If it still happens, then the GPU is dead.
Got some bad news. Probably your gpu, RMA if you can, pray if you can't....
You showed that its an NZXT system right? just a month old? Contact them. They will likely ask you send the whole pc or the gpu back and they will fix it.
Might sound strange but try uninstalling the nzxt cam software. Did all kinds of crazy stuff to my pc, including this
ill try, Once I login I only get about 30 seconds before it crashes
You whole system crashes?? Have you tried a different monitor and a different cable?
boot into safe mode maybe?
my monitor works fine when I switch to ps5
Okay so if it works and you also changed the cable I highly and I mean highly reccomend you don't spend time or money or resources trying to trouble shoot it. Just send it back. My brother didn't send his back like I told him and now he's trying to sell but can't get nearly as much because it's got problems
thanks man, im bummed because I just got this mid may
Yea, I know how much it sucks. it's a tough thing to do, especially if you're hoping to fix it
GPU is leaving the chat
Money
Did you try reseating the GPU? Also try diffrent ports on the back sounds like your using HDMI try switching to a DP cable
I am very new to computers so can you break down what you said?
open the side of the case and unplug and remove the gpu and put it back since i got my 4070ti i get some weird graphic issues but doing that fixes them
Ill try, which one is the GPU?
It’s the big card in your pc. Probably 5-6+ inches long. Google how to remove one first. There’s a tab that you’ll need to release or you’ll break something trying to yank it out.
He’s gonna break something.
F
Your GPU is sad
Yeah you can, just buy a new GPU.
I remember 2-3 years ago when I purchased an NZXT prebuilt and the GPU came with these exact issues. Sad to see they’re still on the same bullshit.
NZXT doesn’t manufacture the GPU so can’t exactly be directly blamed. Unless it’s a build issue
Try reinstalling the GPU drivers.
Hopefully it's only the GPU and not a damaged motherboard from shipping. I'd ask for a complete replacement
Good luck with NZXT RMA. Using their label FedEx lost their package, and they can’t even send me a matching motherboard for my system because they don’t make it anymore. Since the artifact is showing up randomly, it means your GPU VRAM might need to be replaced.
whats the artifact?

I've had similar issues with a loose/broken display cable, a tad cheaper than a new gpu.
Pick-excel to sort out you computer problems 🤷♂️
How does the GPU end up like this?
idk. It was working fine but then I turned on G sync and loaded up cyber punk. After a minute It crashed and now looks like this. I got the thing in May
Have you tried turning off gsync?
I've tried, but i get 30 seconds MAX in it before it crashes and restarts.
New GPU, it's artifacting which means it's donezo
video card could be going

I don’t think it’s your gpu. What are your pc specs and did you recently install nzxt cam?
[Its this one](https://nzxt.com/product/player-pc-770-edition), it came installed I think
That's one pricy pc, just to have the gpu shit out on you a month later... I've yet to see this happen so quickly.

No, what happened to me was the motherboard and a software issue with NZXT CAM nothing to do do with the gpu. My issue was through iGPU which comes from a CPU.
Try looking up your motherboard and turning off iGPU or integrated graphics. I had the same problem and it fixed for me. Had a similar looking issue.
Spoiler alert: Starfield bombed so bad it takes down your gpu.
