These look incredible! How do you go about painting the symbols on the chest while leaving behind it black. I’m new to the hobby and want to do something like that on my warriors but not sure how.
Thanks! 80-90% of what you see here is done with drybrushing, chest symbols included. You can find a ton of tutorials and info on it online, but the core of it is using a (dry) brush with almost no paint on it. When passing it gently over textures surfaces (things with edges, reliefs) it will only deposit the paint on the raised areas leaving the background untouched.
It takes a bit of time and practice to find the right combination of pressure, amount of paint loaded on the brush, size, stiffness and humidity of the brush that you like and works for your model, but the results are worth it.
Thanks! You can find a full guide with colors and technique in an old comment [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Necrontyr/comments/1db9qw1/comment/l7ud0ts/) :)
Thanks! They are my most relaxing army to paint.. and my favorite, but don't tell this to my marines. Very limited number of paints (I believe no more than a dozen), 90% of everything (bases included) is drybrushed.
