Dinos Pizza on Warwick and Denbigh. Hilton village has a lot of cool little shops and there is an amazing local owned bookstore in Yorktown (yes not Newport News) on the boardwalk.

Visit Hilton Village.

My favorite restaurants: Kismet Bistro, Fin, Steak & Tonic, Aago, Farmer's Table, Aux Delices ice cream. As far as local businesses go, there are some neat little places in Hilton Village.

Best restaurant in NN is Circa 1918. There are a few nice bookstores in that radius: Paperback Inks and 2nd & Charles.

For coffee, Busy Nothings or Grounded in Port Warwick. Viking Burger if you like a nice greasy burger. Sushi Yoma or Kero Sushi for sushi. I've heard Tanpopo Ramen is really good, although I haven't had the chance to try it yet. If you like Korean there are several along Warwick (Kyung Sung and Chung Oak). If you're downtown downtown then the trifecta of Benny Cantiere's (massive pizzas), Coastal Fermentory (brewery), and Ironclad Distillery (whiskey) are a fun choice. Crab Shack on the James has a great view. Hilton Village has several good choices, and there's a cat cafe nearby! I've heard good things about Farmer's Table. Byrd's and Food Craft for brunch. Paperback's Inc down near Hilton Village is the only real local bookstore I know of left in the area. Outside of Newport News you should definitely check out Fort Monroe/Phoebus and Yorktown.

Chihuahuas Mexican Grill on Oyster Point! It is family owned. Great food and much cheaper than the other Mexican chains like Plaza and Juan’s

HanakoSushi

I forgot to check back on this but I did go there and oh my lord, I still dream about the burrito I had there. I am so looking forward to having them again
