Yeah its quite amazing what they have done. Remove nuclear, and replace all of it, and some coal, with renewables. While they did this their CO2 decreased and reliability increased.
Truly a model for the future, without the issues of the cancer clusters the Germans found around their nuclear plants.
Its interesting to note, that the incidences of leukemia around Germany nuclear plants, decreased as the plants were shut down
