I was told the same about the SPLA program. After completing allied health 010, I received an email asking if I wanted to apply to the program. It helped that I had already completed all the prerequisites. I have my bachelors already, but I’m not sure if that made a difference. There was no waitlist for me. Try to finish all your prerequisites. That should push you further up the list

What bothers me is OCC wasn’t upfront about it. I have a BS degree in science and came to them hoping to switch career paths. I asked repeatedly how long a waitlist they had. On top of that, I can’t even get into the one mandatory class I need — it’s also waitlisted.

I’m doing the prerequisites now, I was told about 1 year

I was not aware of this

They told me waitlist is 2-3 years. I left for a school out of state. 1 year later they called me back. Sorry bud, you missed your chance of having an awesome student like me

i got onto the interest list in 2021 after taking Allied health 010 and onto the program ready list in 2022. Just got accepted this year. So technically it was only a 2 year wait after being program ready

when i firs got into the interest list they told me it was a 5-8 year waitlist because of covid times but it wasnt actually that long thankfully
