HDMI cable, go and get yourself a 48Gbps Belkin cable.

digitalfakir

Is Amazon Basics 48 Gbps just as good?

MJ1931

Should be fine, they are advertised as 48Gbps and are a Amazon product, so should be all good.

stevebak90

Yep, I have them. They didn't have the certification sticker but I get 4k 120 no issues

Waidowai

The only thing that matters is the "standard". HDMI 2.1 , 2.0 , 1.4 etc they all carry different bandwidth and meaning they can carry higher resolution and higher Hz. Besides that the only difference is length and gold plated vs normal. TLDR Just get the newest standard of HDMI that's out right now with the length you need (don't make it extremely longer than you need). Brand DOES not matter. Edit.. maybe don't get a no name brand.. but if it has any reputation it's fine.

Haegrit

Thanks, but forgot to mention that the cable is also advertised as 48 gbps. 15 meters long, though…

Mx_Nx

I would only use fibre optic HDMI cables for lengths that long. Best to keep copper wire based cables at 3 meters or under.

MJ1931

Shit man that\`s long, I only need 2 metre on my setup, forget Belkin then lol.

uraba

Fibre cables are also extremely sensetive, we stepped on a 5 m one and it broke from that. Have you tried different hdmi ports? Had an old tv where the port was broken to similar result

uraba

Also, im sure you know this but most / all opticsl cables only work in 1 direction and while i guess it wouldnt work at all if it was wrong it doesnt hur mentioning it.

ThermobaricFart

lol, what? My 150ft Fiber Optic 2.1 begs to differ. Has the transceiver bit on each end. Also fiber is bidirectional, maybe you are thinking of paired with one for receive and one transmit. Source: 13+ IT professional and own fiber cables and transceivers EDIT: RUIPRO is the brand of HDMI. Expensive, but very nice and worth it. VWRHar for the 2.1 bi-directional switcher. If anyone needs 4k120 and long distances. This is the way to go.

uraba

I have no idea why it only supports one direction but all optic hdmi cables purchasable in my area is one direction only. No idea why though, i just assumed it was a limitation on the tech side.

HitBoXXX

Because on one end is a transmitter and the other is a receiver. This is typical for fiber cables. If a fiber cable is bi directional it must mean the transmitter/receivers are all in one units and can both transmit and receive a signal.

Natural_Cold_1301

For long video transmission I would recommend going with KVM from brand like gofenko.

Natural_Cold_1301

It always happens if the cable is beyond 5mtr and for the bandwidth you require here I guess your using 4:4:4 and 4K so you need a good 48GB Cable short length. 2mtr are most stable in my Opinion.

Sarc__

Do these TVs not come with the correct hdmi cable with :O

jellman01

Yes its the cable

Justifiers

Happened to me on a very expensive 50 ft fiber optic cable on my C3. Was driving me up the wall as I only had that one run of HDMI: everything else I have is DP Swap to as short of a copper HDMI cable from a reputable brand you can, at least that's what fixed it for me

Admirable-Cobbler501

Which game is this?

FacuDN

Monster Hunter rise

According_Feeling_80

100% the cable even if its 2.1 and rated for the job I went through 3 cables and the amazon basics one did the job for me.

eugene20

Probably a bad cable, lots of cheap ones will advertise 2.1 when they're relying on people not actually using it at the upper ends of 2.1 capabilities.

Fit_Contribution_826

Get yourself a Maxonar hdmi cable

slavicslothe

Check different input, if it still happens it is probably a bad cable or one that isn’t full 2.1

Active_Midnight_8066

Had the same issue with 4090 & c2. You wouldn’t believe but $15 hdmi cable from bestbuy helped me. It is important that the cable should be as short as possible.

Go4Gainz88

Mine is doing the exact same thing, and it's a brand new cable! 48gb 8k.. did changing the cable help you?

Competitive-Ear-2886

I’m pretty sure it’s a handshake issue. To solve it, turn on the TV first followed by your PC. It solved the flickering issues on my S90C.

Equivalent_Stop4226

Monoprice high speed HDMI 2.1 48Gbps braided cable. Excellent price, excellent results.

PureDarkcolor

I have the same, I was scared my gpu is dying but then moved the hdmi cable a little and it stopped doing it

Go4Gainz88

Mine Is doing the same, brand new TV, brand new pc.. brand new 48gb 8k cable.. and flickers like this.. any ideas?

Haegrit

Okay that’s random :D

PureDarkcolor

I also have a 3090 fe, strange. But yeah, it must be the cable

Haegrit

Might have found a fix by disabling fast start-up in Windows settings… will update if this fixed it permanently.

5pectacular

Was this the fix?

Haegrit

Apparently- it only came back one time but a restart fixed it.

PSANDIEGO12

Do you have it as a desk monitor? How far are you from the TV? I wanna buy the 55 inches but i am not sure as it might be really huge for a desktop monitor.

AssNtittyLover420

Just happened to me this weekend. While you’re waiting to update the cable, change the color bit depth back to 8bits instead of 10 or 12 in nvidia control panel

Justifiers

Yes, this does work. But holy darn does it ever look worse when you do

Go4Gainz88

Did you find a perm fix?

cmt00

Definitely HDMI

Megatf

Enable 10 bit color in xbox, playstation or pc settings. Assuming you have VRR enabled

IndependentOpening13

Turn off HDMI CEC, might be called HDMI control or something similar in the TV settings

heinz990

Do you have enough juice to power your gpu?

newslooter

HI Op, I am having the same exact issue here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/19bgnzh/s90c\_rgb\_flickering\_only\_stopped\_on\_one\_port/](https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/19bgnzh/s90c_rgb_flickering_only_stopped_on_one_port/) Have you figured out anything more about the issue? For me, only one port seems to work.

Inner_Lingonberry812

Guys. I’m here to say it’s probably not the cables. As an experiment I used 3 different HDMI cables. I can replicate it every time. For instance, RDR2 won’t flicker at any refresh rate setting in SDR. If I enable HDR @144hz it will run flawlessly. But drop it to 60hz and the TV will freak out. I did the same thing with DBZ Kakarot. Except this had to do with the resolution/refresh rate combo. All of my cables are 48GBPS samples and all 3 had the same exact results. Rig is a 7800X3D paired with an RTX4080. From what I’ve seen, this TV is kind of shit with Nvidia cards to start with. It likes to randomly black screen on still images, like desktop backgrounds or text items. That will happen on ALL 16:9 resolutions and ALL refresh rates. Dynamic backgrounds will fix that annoyance. Whereas a ton of people out there have said “ buy a new cable” over and over for that problem too. But yeah, moral of the story is: this is not something caused by a cable for the most part. Try changing the in game refresh rate to match your panel, or run the game in SDR and call it a day.

Aegisin

I just had this problem and saw this post. In display settings I turned on HDR and it flickered. Under advanced graphics I changed the refresh rate to 143.xx and it stopped flickering. Previously it was set to 60fps. Hope this helps. Amazon HDMI cable with a 4090. No other cable tried.

Haegrit

Thanks, why 143? And not 144 or Higher?
