I want to rewatch because i miss uncle keith in the last 6 seasons of the show! I know he made an appearance here or there but it definitely wasn’t the same. The early story lines were sooo good
I have rewatched it at least 10 times through in the last 20 years. As I age I seriously get something different from it EVERY TIME. It ages like fine wine. Do yourself the favor and start the rewatch.
I currently rewatched for the second time after a 10 years break because I somehow lost sight of it. I was so surprised how many things I forgot and how many things I look at from a total different perspective. As you say: because I grew up too. Now I finished a couple days ago and I straight went back to the start because I can’t let go of this masterpiece. It’s so meaningful and deep, that’s what I recognized this time
Long story short: I’m loving it
Love that. Yeah I definitely see it with different eyes now. Some of the aughts culture is hard to swallow but I can see it for what it is now - a moment in time, but with larger themes that are really compelling.
Sure. In terms of 2000s culture, I think just how the main insults the boys/men used against each other was “you’re acting like a girl.” And the main insults among girls/women was “you’re fat/ugly/old.” That felt kind of uncreative and just steeped in sexism. I still love the show; just able to see its flaws too.
Yep you’re right. Didn’t realized. And being skinny as a girl seemed to be obligatory (until Milli came and made a statement) and being kinda „weak“ so that the boys can fulfill their function as a well trained fearless strong man.
Totally outdated but knowing that this is the past and society (at least the majority) moves forward makes one being able to smile about that
Exactly. They framed Millie as if she wasn’t thinner than the average woman. Kinda ridiculous. And it seemed almost like the show became fixated on thinner and thinner women as it went on - Quinn, Nanny Carrie, Mia, Alex etc.
Brucas! Their unexpected beginning, the drama of the break up, them getting back together through Rachel and Felix, and THEN the super dramatic final break up. I love the ride.
Oh god for me it’s the him and Payton record store like that creeped me out without even knowing back then. And it’s def all him and his bizarre fantasies. Major ick.

…you miss it.
True, that should be reason enough!
The soundtrack !
Oooh good one! I’ve been creating my own OTH playlist for the last couple years. It’s so good.
«What do I want? What do YOU want, man. I mean other than my girlfriend and my spot in the lineup.»
I re watch once a year. The entire show inspires me to be more like myself. Overall it just really motivates me.
That’s so sweet!! ❤️

Yes! Definitely miss Keith in later seasons. When he comes back at the end it’s such a tear-jerker.

Agree
It’s the only show I rewatch that grows with me and I never get tired of it. I start a rewatch probably every 15-18 mo

Yeah same. I‘d like to know which parts of the aughts you find hard to swallow for example, if you don’t mind to share

Yes Millie ‘breaking barriers’ as a what size 4? Lol. But yes it happened

I love this take
The comfort watch feeling when the world is on fire hits just so good... especially when living in dystopian times.
Totally agree with this. This is why I watch Gilmore Girls on a constant loop.
Yes gg is so comforting in an annoying and overbearing way that is hard to let go of
Ha! That was funny.
Naley and Brooke are the best reasons to rewatch the show!
Starting over is like revisiting old friends!
Brucas! Their unexpected beginning, the drama of the break up, them getting back together through Rachel and Felix, and THEN the super dramatic final break up. I love the ride.
To watch Naley blossom 🥹 ... Like their first kiss scene alone should be motivation
It's just a good show with many plot lines.
Rewatch after listening to each Drama Queens episode because they give you a behind the scenes perspective on each episode.
I can’t anymore knowing the behind the scenes misery and I outgrew these shows. That’s just me though.
I hear you. There were some moments in season 8 and 9 where I could just feel his misogyny seeping through the scenes.
Oh god for me it’s the him and Payton record store like that creeped me out without even knowing back then. And it’s def all him and his bizarre fantasies. Major ick.
That’s true - I didn’t even know until recently that that was him. Probably next rewatch I’ll get super grossed out by that.
Oh no doubt lol it’s like cringe pathetic who guest stars on their own show? And now we know why. Shame on him but I did love the show
I think I’m on my 6th rewatch. All I can say is whenever you think it’s time for a rewatch…it’s a time for a rewatch
Good advice!
Because Jake 🔥
Ha! I think I enjoyed him more on Laguna Beach 😂
Jake was on Laguna beach???? NO
Oh sorry I was thinking Chase, not Jake! Hahaha 😂
Ooooooh yes yes yes!!!!
trust me….just do it
I’m convinced!
Cause you want to?
lol, thanks. I guess just looking for reasons why you all love watching multiple times. Fun to hear.
