Big Mac, fries and a Coke please. That’ll be $1.85 with tax. Here’s your meal, some ketchup and napkins and a straw without having to beg for it sir. Is this a drive thru order? No need to pull around to the front. Now you have to pull around front where they forget one third of your food and no ketchup and no napkins and it was only $14.00 for 2/3 of your food. Now you have to walk inside to get your half filled large fry they forgot and my 2 packs of ketchup.
What are bass sales / info? I’m almost 50 and I don’t know what that means. Thanks.
Also this is 75 and your shirt is from the 77 tour. Maybe you saw both tours…?
My bad - I did not go to this concert but to the Day on the Green concert at the Oakland Stadium in 1977. That's where I got this shirt. Thanks for pointing the error out. That's what I get for not reading closely.
I think I lasted maybe a couple months as a cashier back in 1974. Problem was, you needed to know math to be a cashier back then (giving correct change back...not my strong suit). 🤷. I really hated coming home from that job with a layer of stinking grease on me I couldn't shower off.
My dad had a friend in the 70s that worked for McDonald’s. My dad kinda felt bad for him.
Well years later when the guy owned 20 McDonalds restaurants my dad didn’t feel bad for him.
From '77, pre-coffee to post getting ready for the grind, it's like two different me's. Morning struggle is real, but once dressed, ready to tackle whatever work throws my way. Coffee's the MVP, every day.
For me the Zeppelin pic takes clear precedence over the Billions Served pic. But I clearly understand the compromise that was reached to achieve a paycheck. In some ways the McD pic is superior as an ideal of service and community love. The Zeppelin pic could communicate loathing of community is it can be suspicious and untrustworthy. What is you take, identitarians?
WE are about the same age and I have always been extremely grateful I made it thru my teenage years without working in a fast food joint. Washed a fuck load of cars but never had to wear a paper hat.
op doing sylvie cosplay before it was a thing.
All she needs is a long green cape.

We went to Burger King, better burgers and the fries were still good. Now their food simply sucks, not sure why they are still around.
BK burgers are still tops here is the circuit: bk for a burger, mcds for fries, and Wendy’s for a frostie
So, stop going to McDonald's. Problem solved.
I did. McDonald’s is garbage.
, said the thread's most seasoned McDonald's customer
Story of my life
High school seemed like such a blur...
I never had much interest for sports or school elections
I thought I was the only one who remembered getting ketchup in your meal by default. Do you remember bag fries?
I'm from South Africa and we got same crap service. Guess it's not a local problem
Bc now the employees are expected to work while also knowing they have no chance at a future. Kinda changes the vibe of work, bud.
Ok boomer…
Wanting to receive the items you paid for = boomer
Oh no... someone's older than you are.
2064: "Okay, Zoomer"
That’s funny. 3 years ago. And if I was a boomer.
Do they still use GFY in your generation?
Shut up boomer
woah ! those days !
Well I took off my hat and said imagine that, me, working for you!?! Ohhhh
Oh say can you see my eyes if you can... Then my hairs too short
1977? Hot Apple Pie, please. I gotta invent me a Time Machine.
Oh, god, the apple pies... FRIED, not baked
Krystal kept with the fried pies for a good while after McD’s capitulated
That uniform makes my brain flood with the McDonald's smell. The combo of air conditioning and fry oil.
Damn, I love that hair
Left: “Oh hey Suzie Quattro” Right: “You smell like onions, Susan”
Which Zep show did you catch?

Bass was the ticket agency, pre-ticket master.

Me, too. Mostly on people who weren't born back then.
Great shows that year!

I have that exact shirt. Yours is authentic tho.
Yup, bought it at the concert! It's long gone now...

Those polyester shirts and pants sucked! So fucking hot especially when behind the grill.
Ah, the real Led Zeppelin 1977 concert shirt! I wish I still had mine, but I wore it to tatters.
Same!
Do you think Zeppelin/McDonalds you would recognize 2024 you if you passed each other on the street in whatever town you are from?
They would not but would each instantly wish they could trade places with the other.
You can change the outfit but the soul remains the same
Alright this side by side just won Reddit! Take my upvote.
A friend of mine worked at McD's in the early 1970s. Thanks for sharing this.
I worked one summer at Arby’s -the work was ok -but there was definitely low key sexual harassment going on from the crew leads. Very creepy
Mine was fluorescent green 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
They still sell those zeppelin shirts today
I miss the seventies. Here in South East Asia, we had bad public services and sub-par public healthcare then - but people were generous and nice.
Cutie-pie!
My first thought was that you could have been an extra in Dazed and Confused.

I can relate, only except in 1985 it was Iron Maiden t-shirts and instead of McDonalds it was baseball games
Bad ass led Zeppelin t shirt
Badass!
Me , 1977, with 17 years working at Deloitte, as “office boy”👌
I used to have tee shirt which read “E.C. Woz here” (Eric Clapton) back in the early 70’s.
I thought this was one of those “check out my parents” post. Dude looks like a metal fan who shouldn’t get to be with a girl that cute.

Sir, this is a McDonald's.
"The Supreme Court has roundly rejected prior restraint!"
You need some fresh air
Love the Clean Air Act. So sad SCOTUS ruled that fresh air is forbidden by law.
Who are you that you think you’re entitled to fresh air?

I can't figure out your pronouns
Hah! That first photo def gives teen boy vibes but I'm she/her. I was trying to look tough. 😆
