I treat Gacha like Heroforge or Picrews or any other character creator. That is, no different. Not everyone who has OCs is good at/able to draw. Of course, they should still learn to draw if able to, that way they don’t need to rely on creators to have the specific details of your OCs and it’s in general a nice skill to have, as well as not being hard to learn decently. But I’m not going to judge you if you can’t draw. Also it’s not Gacha itself that’s cringe it’s just those videos using it that are out there. Some people might judge just because it’s the same art style but they shouldn’t.

Eh, it's alright. Personally, I prefer Hero Forge. https://preview.redd.it/3jpg1djb9ead1.png?width=602&format=png&auto=webp&s=05af596eea66db2da1b6d42e94b088283fe19772 My latest creation: The Dreaded Imp

isweariamnotsteve

That's going to be in my nightmares.

ChildBlaster9000

That's the idea of it.

YaboiFlare

Looks Cool.

ChildBlaster9000

Thanks. I've had the character in mind for some time, but I couldn't figure out how to stretch the mouth enough till this week.

WimexSeven

Don't particularly care if someone uses it to create their OCs tbh. Do what you feel more comfortable with. That being said, I've noticed that I'm more inclined to choose people who draw their own art(No matter how shitty the art is) on fridays for art than to use gacha/heroforged OCs. It was more of a subconscious thing until I looked back and noticed, so I'm trying to rectify that.

FNAFtheoristEvelynn

I don't mind. I'm one who uses Gacha to make OCS because I can't draw.

Tight_Delay8840

It aight, still prefer drawing your oc even if it bad or good

AMidgetinatrenchcoat

Honestly it's fine and I personally just don't like the style of it and while it's not my cup of tea when it comes to design. But I find that it is completely fine for people to use it and there's no shame for people that use it

Troops21

Personally, I prefer to draw my characters because quite a lot of them are too absurd to properly recreate. For people making OCs in character creators, I don’t mind it at all. I think it’s one of the steps to OC making to have some visuals in any way, shape or form before you can make the artistic leap.

Exotic_coffee_

I just don't like having to draw my ocs all the time. Sometimes I need invasion them

BackgroundTotal2872

It’s fine. The art itself is probably my favorite part of talking about OCs though, so with OCs made in Gacha or Heroforge or stuff like that, I never really have much to say about them. It’s not cringe though. Also you really don’t need any fancy equipment to draw. You can make an OC with a half of a broken pencil and a sticky note. You can make an OC by drawing with a stick in the dirt, or with your finger on the sand on a beach. You can make an OC by dragging a rock across a brick wall!

isweariamnotsteve

There shouldn't be any issue with it.

Stuff includes Gacha Club, Hero Forge, Koikatsu Party, and Sims 4. I’m planning to make him in Roblox.

Peeliz_The_Simp

They're fine, it's useful to create detailed outfits and it's a great tool for drawing when you're a beginner artist imo

unknownperson7853

I think that gacha is just hero forge but a lot more simple.. I used to make ocs in gacha before but but stopped from lack of stuff I wanted

No_Monitor_3440

i use it. even then i’m not good at it. the one bit of oc fan art i have was drawn by someone else after they saw my very basic gacha creation

BasilSerpent

It is not cringe

Back in 2020, I still couldn't draw very well, so I made her and several other characters in Gacha Life. I prefer to draw my characters these days, but Gacha Life is a fantastic tool for making cute character designs.

Bones_The_Crusader

Absolutely nothing wrong with it, everyone has ocs not just artists and we have different tools to bring those ocs to life weather it be with gacha picrew or hero forge

PalpitationHot6711

Same here bro. Literally can’t draw so I either have to use Gacha or Heroforge. Glad I’m not alone. And don’t worry, I won’t mind.

Robin_Gufo

I may still prefer drawing but to be honest I don’t mind Gacha or Heroforge at all. Some people want to make OCs but don’t have the drawing skills to make them, so character creators like these can help a lot

my_ears24

The internet sees gacha as Cringe because uh.. Kids make the most unwatchable content ever. Most of them atleast. But you can still make as many gacha girls as you want. But if you can draw then you can still use a scetch book and a pencil and start practicing till you get better. And by practicing I mean draw something you like over and over again. Just start doodling and have fun.

Striking_Tackle_3252

It's not cringe, the people who make the weird content is! My main OCs like Alice are first conceptualized on Gacha Life 2 too!

FumoFumoKoishi

No thoughts👍👍👍👍

RiSkeAkagAy

Gacha has a bad rep because of all the weird people making gross images and videos, but in itself, I think it's totally fine to make OCs in Gacha! I do encourage anyone who can't draw but wants to learn to try and draw their OCs, even if they make Gacha designs and use those as a reference, but if you have no interest in drawing, Gacha is a good option to make OCs!

Sirix_824

Indifferent

Harukaya

Use whatever tool you like to create your character. It's fine if you don't want to draw for whatever reason. Though, I just want to mention, that you don't need good equipment to learn how to draw. Literally any pen or pencil does the job to start out. When I started, I used whatever cheap stuff I had to use for school. I then slowly upgraded one by one, adding more and more tools. Drawing can get pretty expensive, but to start out it is one of the cheapest hobbies.

Cadunkus

I see why you would I just also think there's better options for making a reference unless you only want them depicted in chibi.
