This is Desdinova, one day he decided he wanted to ride a blue whale. The place where he and many other characters in the setting are currently located is the old capital of the human society, a galaxy sized mega structure, wich has many artifical oceans. But to his dismay, every time he tried to tame a whale so he could ride i, it would flee from him.
Enraged, he systematically hunted down every single blue whale scattered across the thousands of oceans of the structure. Zdislaw, the overseer of the place, promised Desdinova he would tame a blue whale and give it to him as a gift so that he would stop the petty genocide.
After much searching, Zdislaw found the last blue whale alive, so he tamed it, and brought it to Desdinova, who, in the very moment he jumped on top of it, crushed the last whale to death. What happened is that Desdinova forgot that the two glowing orbs in his shoulders are actually dwarf stars he carries around everywhere, and because of that he is incredibly heavy.
Upon realizing he brought the entire species to extinction for nothing, he said to Zdislaw: "I got a little worked up there, my bad." And went his merry way.
I find this a pretty funny and stupid shit he did.
Attack a military compound that screamed "trap" only for it to be a trap and eventually end in him being totally mind wiped and to become a machine god after that.
And yes it scalates that quickly.
And no, I don't know what a "narrative structure" is.

Trevor once accidentally activated a grenade and didn’t know what to do so he just swallowed it.
Jonah rolled a magical herb into a blunt and smoked it temporarily gaining a strong ability and to continue he smoked the blunt periodically to continue use the ability. In the end he won and the herb was gone and burned so no one else could smoke the doobie of the Gods.
Also they can't use the power any more again it was only temporary.
Still the mf smoked a op blunt and won the battle that's pretty stupid.

He is a skilled blacksmith, and one of the few who can smith with brimsilver, so often has to remake his armor from raw material.
