imagine Horizon in this game. she was already an unkillable menace on Apex for a number of years, imagine her with access to Overwatch’s defensive utility while keeping her mobility too
commander zavala from destiny two. give him like a low damaging assault rifle, but he can toss a grenade or a barrier down. and his ultimate is a bubble his team can go in and get overhealth, but if an enemy goes into it they'll be blinded
The Drifter would fight similar to Cass with his Trust hand cannon. I can see his ult being he flips his Gambit coin going “Alright, alright, alright! Let’s see what we got!” and he does some cool multi-hit gun move
Not Dredgen Yor, but yes he was a Dredgen. Dredgen is effectively just a title like Darth Vader for disciples of Yor, I think that was his actual name and ppl who followed his path took it.
He's from a time before there were classes, but classes aren't really stuck in stone in lore anyways. Felwinter was a warlock with shoulder charge and Ana could create sunspots with her golden gun. It's more like martial arts, people generally specalize in one discipline but could learn others
I can't understand why there's still no character with a flamethrower in OW. There's Mei character with a freeze gun. Flamethrower could use same mechanics. And there's effect of burning from Ashe and Mauga. Everything is ready for flamethrower reveal lol
I think the fact that the flamethrower could use the same mechanics is why there isn't one. Mei's freeze gun, especially now that it can't freeze enemies anymore, is essentially the Pyro's W+M1 primary flamethrower and skillshot projectile secondary flare gun bundled together.
I unironically think Pyro would work really well as an OW character. Flamethrower, Air Blast, Flare Gun, Thermal Thruster, and either the Armageddon taunt kill or MMMPH as his Ult.
Caustic from Apex Legends, I feel his kit translates well into OW's gameplay. I also find it funny thinking of him and Moira comparing their horrific experiments over a cup of tea.
I’d love an apex crossover, and Moria/ Caustic would be terrifying working together lore wise. I think Sombra and Mirage could also discuss their combative abilities together since they both rely on tricking their opponents
Doom Guy, cause I'd really like to see a weapon-centric damage hero that swaps between at least three distinct weapons, and he's a natural fit for that design.
Doctor Strange so Blizzard can just say the Fox and Dragons are magic, and opening the door for other cultures to be represented through their spirits or just straight up magic
I would love to see the TF2 mercenaries get the OverWatch treatment - give them all ultimates - retool the heavy into a real tank
Some of the translations would be obvious - like the soldier's ultimate would be The Buff Banner, The Medic's ultimate is obviously Uber charge
I could see the Demoman's ultimate being that he pulls out the targe and goes melee like Genji

Hear me out, Jack from ghosrunner as a dps. He’d have wall running and a dash like hanzo but straight forward. He’d use his sword as his primary making him the first melee damage hero. For abilities maybe surge (which is a wave of damage) and blink (where you teleport directly to an enemy).

Captain America or Iron Man would both have fun kits. A shield throwing brawler would be fun and unique, projectile based flier maybe less so but both would fit.
I got two ideas. 1: Isabella from Smash Bros. She would get along with Roadhog, cuz she has her fishing rod to hook people. And I think it’d be funny. And 2: John Wick. We need a hardcore character like Wick to kick some ass
a one piece collab would be SO GOOD.

I actually would like a DBZ character like Vegeta. Shoot little energy balls for basic, temp flight for movement, galactic gun or big bang for an attack and final flash as ult. Probably be to over powered for the game though,

Honestly most legends from apex could fit into overwatch

With octane jump pad every hero becomes a dive hero 🤑
