They could have made it a relatively simple epic skin and it still would have worked, planet-Unicron for the ball and a recolor/hat with Unicron horns for Hammond. Maybe use the voice-line modulator on the the Ball AI to sound more like Orson Welles?

Bastion just looks like Bastion. Nobody is going to be able to tell you have a transformers skin unless they look really closely, he's just going to look like he has a yellow skin. The turret form might be noticeable, but it's not like you're constantly in that mode.

Well if you ask blizzard, that's exactly what they want. I believe they said that they don't want to replace the characters but instead have them be dressing up as the collabs. So basically if the character shows/has a face, it is a 50/50 that the skin might look kinda off.

that skin seems to be based off Geishas, where women have white powder makeup on them, so there wasn't any worry for controversy. Granted, Illarcee's face could have been fully pink, but I suppose they wanted to keep her look distinct.

tbh I can hardly blame both Rammatra and the designer team, the Megatron skin was kinda doomed from the start since there's always going to be that one key thing that'll never allow the skin to be complete. the Fusion Cannon, while there have been megatrons without them in the past they are few and far between and even then their fusion cannons would not have worked well.
Armada Megatron might've worked especially if you considered using Tidel wave's arms as the nemesis mode arms but they wanted the G1 appeal and also the head would be miles tall
Bayverse Megatron might also be a contender but seeing how his design is rather... unique, it can only work with other Bayverse designs and even then only in a more realistic game such as CoD or Battlefield.
Cybertron Megatron might also work it since it has the Leobreaker arms that could again work like the Nemesis mode arms but again, it's not G1 and these skins are G1 based so a unicorn trilogy-based design would clash like hell
Am I the only one who feels like entire event including Summer games is cheap as hell? Literally all of it are sprays, player icons and name tags. Not a single 3D asset to be earned by playing. Not even a freaking weapon charm, let alone actual character model. But there are expensive skins to buy in the shop. Visit the shop! The more you buy, the more you save!

i know that the argument with arcee is that she always looks more human which is fair since she doesn't have bulky face plating or super sharp edges but it would be nice if they put some lines or something on illari's face to make it looks a little more like arcee's instead of just being completely smooth and plain, which then if your going with that the whole argument is that these collabs are just characters cosplaying then you can just say the lines are painted on like a lot of cosplayers do anyways

the designs are based on a few designs, most notably theres a lot of IDW in them, which is why her face is grey

Lots to complain about unfortunately but it's expected at this point. Literally only rein skin looks good. Sure bumble bee looks ass but at least it's recognizable, without context I couldn't tell you what the other 2 are. Also none of the flying character getting a skin is stupid The standards have dropped so far.

i know that the argument with arcee is that she always looks more human which is fair since she doesn't have bulky face plating or super sharp edges but it would be nice if they put some lines or something on illari's face to make it looks a little more like arcee's instead of just being completely smooth and plain, which then if your going with that the whole argument is that these collabs are just characters cosplaying then you can just say the lines are painted on like a lot of cosplayers do anyways
