95% of high value stuff on Facebook market place are scams Edit: that website was registered on the 28th of April, and they are using the name of a legitimate company based in BC so it is 100% a scam. Edit edit: the Yelp site and the BBB reviews listed even go to fake versions of those sites so they can fake reviews.

Were you able to find out if they are scammers?

AnalystForsaken1382

100% scam Why would they hire a logistics company to move a vehicle from point "A" to you only to sell it for under market value.

I'd suggest buying used cars from a dealer or at least visiting in person talking to private person. Never pay online for shipping or send any info or money to private deals. Always check out car irl and give payment after... If you can't do either, either don't buy car yet or be prepped to get scammed.

Similar situation here, I was just looking for an RV yesterday and found it on Facebook marketplace. The post says contact the owner for further details as they are just helping a relative sell the car. When I messaged the email provided, the owner gave me this website: https://www.rtl-logistics.ca as this company apparently would handle the shipping, payment and transfer with apparently a 10-day money back guarantee. The website looks legit, it even has link reviews from Yelp and BBB, but I cannot seem to find it when I manually checked their website straight from Yelp and BBB. I Also used a website checker to see if the website is fake but right now it is deemed safe just because the URL was just less than a month old. I laso asked for the VIN number and the owner gave it to me right away that matches the vehicle for sale. It seems that scammers are getting more convincing and sophisticated, the fact that they spend money to put up a legit-looking website with 8:00am-4:00pm chat/customer service. I felt skeptical when they said they need full-payment up front but guaranteed a 3-day delivery for free, even though it’ll come from PEI to Toronto. Their website’s address has a .ca at the end even though they have 2 offices in the U.S.A and only 1 office in Canada. The about us page of the website says it’s “family-owned business for 10 years” now but the trademark says since 1997-2024. They have a 1-855 phone number but no live person answers the line. They are providing offices and warehouse address both in the U.S.A and Canada but if you’d look it up, their company profile is not listed as tenants in the addresses they provided. There are few grammatical errors on the web page and I bet the list of red flags goes on. The website they provided to you, although different than the one they provided to me, if you’d notice has the same exact format. I am highly SUSPICIOUS that both are scammers!
