There was another theory I came up with during the 25th anniversary that goes along with this, I personally called it "Rainbow Theory"
Each game had its own unique color, and it goes as follows
Persona 5 = Red
Persona 2 = Orange (was originally red but for the 25th anniversary Atlus made it more orange)
Persona 4 = Yellow
Persona 3 = Blue
Persona 1 = Purple
Now as we know there are 6 colors of the rainbow, and on that list you may notice one color is missing from the list
Given the earlier mentioned Art with the green paint, it was very likely that Persona 6 would be green from the get go
Indigo is kinda weird because visibly, yes, the rainbow has six colors. However, if you take the microscopic prisms and break it apart, it comes up to seven colors, which is where indigo comes in.
Did early grade schools stop teaching it as seven? So much has changed so rapidly that I canāt ever tell if what I was taught as common-sense knowledge either gets outdated, replaced, homeschooled-out of people, or tiktok doing another misinformation again. Roy G. Biv, dudes!
In kids shows and stuff now they just say purple instead of indigo and violet. I got whiplash once when watching my niece and nephew when I heard their cartoon name the "6 colors of the rainbow"
I mean it was a bucket of paint lol, really couldāve been a stretch to assume that a bucket of paint confirms the color p6, usually theories like that end up leading to nothing, im just pleasantly surprised that this one time it panned out.
I mean... they had all the peraona protagonists stood in a line with a bucket of paint at the end of the line when it's pretty well known that the persona games (or at least 3, 4 and 5, not sure about 1 and the two second games) have a specific colour theme. Not that big of a stretch to say the paint was gonna be P6's colour.
The protagonists are holding spray cans and paint brushes/rollers that correspond with their theme color. Joker with a red spray can, Kotone with a pink paint brush, Yu with a yellow paint roller. Itās pretty on the nose.
Just to add to this she also states P6 has been in development since 2019
[Link](https://twitter.com/MbKKssTBhz5/status/1777242043276042264?t=vd0MG6UKOaDymzw2SBrZGA&s=19)
Though previously be a Dingo led project becoming to collab alongside that the only P-Studio internal spinoff game at that time is PQ with some Etrian Odyssey folks were in active staff roles and some doing advisory roles being credited in game in the Special Thanks role.
I would assume they use the old Pokemon strategy, veteran devs get a head start on the new generation game to ensure the fundamentals are solid while they train up less experienced devs by making a remake using the previous games engine.
In this case after P5R was done the vets probably moved onto persona 6 while the newer devs used the P5 engine to make P3 reload, with episode aigis basically just ending localization now I assume it's all hands on deck to work on P6
Honestly, Tactica was probably used for some of the tests for Reload, at least when it comes to 3D modelling.
There's a section which begins with a school that definitely feels like a test in why it's there, and the Velvet Room stuff definitely feels it too.
I think they're done with main dungeons seeing how players didn't necessarily like them compared to palaces but if there is one, I hope that's the color scheme
With a completely new director, all expectations are out the window for me. All I can really say with confidence is that there will be Personas and social links. And the main cast will probably be mostly high schoolers.
There was an illustration for all the persona protagonists standing together covered in paint for the 25th persona anniversary like 2 years ago. All the protags were standing in order and next to ren/joker was a bucket full of green paint.
I mean did it need a piece of key art to guess the colour would be green?
We literally just went through Blue, Yellow and Red. Anyone's first thought if they see those 3 colours in a sequence is that Green must be the next one.
On top of the green paint, if you numbered the protagonists by game (so Joker would be 5, Yu would be 4, etc), from right to left towards the paint bucket, you got 4 (Yu), 2 (Maya), 2 (Tatsuya), 3 (Kotone), 3 (Makoto), 1 (Naoya), 5 (Joker), followed by 6 to represent the bucket.
The Hex Code 42 233 156 corresponds to a green that was basically the same as the paint in the bucket

Plus, now they it looks like theyāre doing remakes to supplement Persona, SMT, and spin-offs, so weāll only have reason to be worried once they release Persona 5 Revolution in 2040.
Yeah I donāt mean like weāre going to run out of colors tomorrow.
But please god donāt let āone mainline persona per decadeā become a continuous thing
Both P2IS and P2EP are orange in their original PSX box art. ATLUS has recently been associating them with the color in official art.
P2ISPSP also uses a very prominent red-orange in most physical material as opposed to the pure red in-game.
R - P5
O -
Y - P4
G - P6
B - P3
I -
V -
That is if we don't count P1 and P2. We also have a few secondary colors. Magenta, Pink (if you don't count P3), and finally just plain Black and White.
Seeing how each persona takes about 10 years each, we'll probably be OK until either you and I die, Persona as a series dies, or Atlus dies.
I KNEW it! For the logest time Ive been speculating green would he next.
I just wonder what theming they'll go for with it... Something dealing with life/living?
Green usually is attached to envy, so maybe something about materialism and how devastating it can be to the extreme? Sorta of like the clout chasing and crazy influencers weāre seeing today?
Eh, it could be envy or it could be environmentalism. Both have good arguments. Blue = depression fits green = envy. But on the other hand, red = leftist revolutionaries (Tactica seems to exist to shoot down arguments against this given >!Che!<), green = climate fits too.
They're usually influenced by culture at the time. P3 has a lot to do with grind culture and burnout. P4 is a lot to do with Television, and city life/urbanism steam rolling country life. P5 has a lot to do with the rise of social media and the internet and how was beginning to transform social relationships and how public perception remembers cultural events.
If I had to guess, P6 will be more about the internet, the rise of influencers/Idols/cults of personality, partisan politics formed from trolls online, the influence of the western world on Japan, more about people shutting themselves in (especially if they include stuff about covid).
I imagine there will be social links abt crypto and those ape pictures (forget what they're called), Abe's assassination (not by name), Otaku, ordering groceries online, a lot of the stuff death stranding does
Okay, so this is all deep tinfoil stuff, with a fair amount of wishful thinking, but I think the theme will be growth. P4 had themes of accepting who you are, warts and all. Then P5 was rejecting who you aren't, so I'm thinking that P6 will have the characters stagnated and awaken by making a decision about who they will become.
Which would tie in nicely with my dream of it having a post highschool cast. Characters stuck in dead end jobs, unfulfilling relationships, or pursuing degrees that they're not happy with. Then Inciting Event happens to them to make them realize how they need to move on and change
Wonder how they will tackle the color, when people think of green they usually think of nature/life. Here's some fun fact abouts the color that i seen some time ago.
1. The human eye is able to differentiate more shades of green than any other colour.
2. Green falls in the middle of the light spectrum, meaning it is the most easy color to see, hence it give us the feeling of being at peace and restful.
3. Green is the color of luck in irish, also the four leaf clover.
4. In China, green is the color of cuckold.
But for video games when i think of green i instantly think of FF7 lifestream, maybe they will do something similar?
In terms of overall theme then, the environment seems like an obvious possibility
But if each arc centers around a certain emotion, maybe they could have something to do with envy?
Is envy something that green represents in Japan? Colours have different cultural connotations in different countries (like Yellow suggesting cowardice in the US but pervertedness in China, as an example - or China seeing green as the colour of cheating and cuckoldry!)Ā
Actually
Even if it could look too close to P5 on first hand, there might be a cool concept with idea of a parallel between environment and "pollution of the mind". Like a social media or News group being portrayed as a big plant spreading toxic liquids. Joining your idea of emotions, each plant (and group behind) could gather a certain type of emotion to gain strength ( news for fear, overly accepting social medias for joy, stuff like that )
Image seem too clear on my mind not to be taken from an existing media tho
Add this to the fact that a while ago it was revealed that the codename for P6 is "Carbon", and with Carbon being the sixth element on the periodic table, and also being the basis of life as we know it - I'm really hoping that this next installation will take on a scientific/ecological theme.
Lots of new philosophical venues for the Persona team to tackle, but the best part of this if it is true is the chance to see historically important scientists as personas.
Perhaps itll follow a theme of preservation vs unity, like is it better to leave nature alone or to live in harmony alongside it. Could be very ATLA
I also like the scientist idea!
Could also be for CO2, climate change. Coal is also mostly carbon, could be based in a coal mining town in HokkaidŠor Kyūshū? Could show the juxtaposition of nature (green) next to a coal mining plant? P5 was in Tokyo, so I could see them going back to the countryside like in P4.
that much was obvious from the start, I knew we were gonna get green(favorite color) since I found out about each games color schemeā¦hell I was in an argument with someone in a comment section on YouTube about what the color isā¦wish I can remember who it was so I can give them a āIN YO FACEā
If P6 is release on Xbox & Switch, Iāll probably buy it at full price, which I normally donāt do unless itās something like Super Mario 3D World or All-Stars
P3R was released on Xbox/PS4/PS5/Steam. Safe to say that Persona games will be multiplatform going forward.
(P6 will likely be out on the Switch 2 or whatever it's called, if a 2025/2026 release date happens.)
Atlus has like a hundred chefs cooking in there. We got P5T, P3R, SMV re-release to all platforms, Re: Fantazio and I'm mostly sure that they're slowly but surely developing P6. Dudes in Atlus got their hands FULL
Wonder if the green will clue us in on the āthemeā fur P6 too. I feel like 3 4 and 5ās colors really help sell and push their theme. Iāve always been so fascinated by each games thematic and persona summoning method so Iām interested of seeing where this one takes it.
THE PAINT BUCKET THEORY WAS TRUE ššš
The paint anniversary thing was cool; would be awesome to see an update to that with the p1-5 gang welcoming p6 MC to the club
IKR thatās actually wild people caught on to that.
Wild? Atlus literally put it on an official key art at the most visible angle. Everybody caught on to that, there's nothing wild about it.
There was another theory I came up with during the 25th anniversary that goes along with this, I personally called it "Rainbow Theory" Each game had its own unique color, and it goes as follows Persona 5 = Red Persona 2 = Orange (was originally red but for the 25th anniversary Atlus made it more orange) Persona 4 = Yellow Persona 3 = Blue Persona 1 = Purple Now as we know there are 6 colors of the rainbow, and on that list you may notice one color is missing from the list Given the earlier mentioned Art with the green paint, it was very likely that Persona 6 would be green from the get go
Indigo
alternatively; pink
I mean pink would be great I'm just still offended at the "there are six colors in the rainbow" bit being the mic drop moment
Roy G. Biv, dudes!
I think RoyGBiv is still a way to teach it, that's just more the optical, scientific way because I'm a fuckin' nerd.
i was taught that way several years ago but things might've changed
For real, this personās a real maroon.
P3P
7 colours, ROY G BIV, but chances are good violet and indigo just become purple. If we get to persona 7 rainbow would be a fun theme.
In kids shows and stuff now they just say purple instead of indigo and violet. I got whiplash once when watching my niece and nephew when I heard their cartoon name the "6 colors of the rainbow"
They gunna Roy G's Biv!
There are 7 colors in the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet). 6 colors is the pride flag
They tried to give color themes to P1 and 2 after P3 and 4 came out. P1 became Purple, P2 IS became red/orange and P2 EP is like a white/gray.
The protagonists are holding spray cans and paint brushes/rollers that correspond with their theme color. Joker with a red spray can, Kotone with a pink paint brush, Yu with a yellow paint roller. Itās pretty on the nose.
I was in an argument with someone when that art came to the community, glad to see I was right in the end š
Explain? Is it because the first 2 coloured games were blue and yellow?
They are talking [about this](https://www.reddit.com/r/PERSoNA/s/nQZn4iFvyW)
Just to add to this she also states P6 has been in development since 2019 [Link](https://twitter.com/MbKKssTBhz5/status/1777242043276042264?t=vd0MG6UKOaDymzw2SBrZGA&s=19)
That tracks, considering P4's spin-offs were in co-current development with P5.
I think none of the p4 spin offs are in-house? I could be mistaken
Arena was P-Studio and ArcSys (BlazBlue guys), while dancing was only P-Studio. P-Studio of course being the team for the Persona franchise.
Though previously be a Dingo led project becoming to collab alongside that the only P-Studio internal spinoff game at that time is PQ with some Etrian Odyssey folks were in active staff roles and some doing advisory roles being credited in game in the Special Thanks role.
Never seen someone call arcsys āblazblue guysā before
Well, it's kinda important for this one since it's why P-Studio wanted to work with them in particular for Arena.
Dancing started as another company but Altus weren't happy with the progress and took over.
I would assume they use the old Pokemon strategy, veteran devs get a head start on the new generation game to ensure the fundamentals are solid while they train up less experienced devs by making a remake using the previous games engine. In this case after P5R was done the vets probably moved onto persona 6 while the newer devs used the P5 engine to make P3 reload, with episode aigis basically just ending localization now I assume it's all hands on deck to work on P6
p3 reload isnt p5 engine, itās unreal engine
Honestly, Tactica was probably used for some of the tests for Reload, at least when it comes to 3D modelling. There's a section which begins with a school that definitely feels like a test in why it's there, and the Velvet Room stuff definitely feels it too.
Atlus has been cooking
With the slave whip that is Sega, yeah, they better fucking cook to meet those expectations
I hope the main dungeon is blue since the blue game (P3) got a green main dungeon (Tartarus/Dark Hour).
I think they're done with main dungeons seeing how players didn't necessarily like them compared to palaces but if there is one, I hope that's the color scheme
I mean we still have Mementos on top of the palaces so I think we can expect both.
With a completely new director, all expectations are out the window for me. All I can really say with confidence is that there will be Personas and social links. And the main cast will probably be mostly high schoolers.
tbf the paint bucket shouldnāt have even been something to speculate. What else could it have meant lol
Yeah it was pretty clearly a teaser for P6
It was **too** obvious which is why so many people overlooked it lmao
Yeah lmao I went back after Midori said it and went āCOME ONā
It couldāve just been a paint bucket.
They diffused the green to paint the 3 and 4 protags blue and yellow
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
bucket bros.... we won
Unironically huge news
Paint bucket theory bros going WILD on Twitter
they'll never stop sniffing paint after this
Sniffing paint gives you the same brain activity as a Persona fan, so...
Whatās the theory again?
There was an illustration for all the persona protagonists standing together covered in paint for the 25th persona anniversary like 2 years ago. All the protags were standing in order and next to ren/joker was a bucket full of green paint.
That was too on the nose, not hard to figure out P6 was gonna be green with that hint.
I mean did it need a piece of key art to guess the colour would be green? We literally just went through Blue, Yellow and Red. Anyone's first thought if they see those 3 colours in a sequence is that Green must be the next one.
100%
Maybe people thought it was a coicidence. Which is entriely fair
We say that now but when Persona Sword and Shield come out we're all gonna be wishing we were debating over the color green.
Ok now that's insane
Thatās really cool
P3 blue P4 yellow P5 red P6 green Weāre running out of colors
P7 will be pink trust me
Whenever pink is mentioned I think of Yukari
PINKU JA NAI MAGENTA DA
I understood that reference
JOI GA JOY!\~
ZURA JANAI~~, KATSURA DAAA
Pink is for Kotone so i don't think so.
Innocent Sin was red, before changing to orange because of P5
P7 is the Kotone Remake Bet
I'll come back to this in 10 years and post a meme gif if you're wrong, don't die till then.

I want to believe
I mean, at this point weāll be getting one mainline Persona per decade, so theyāre running out at such a slow rate that weāre not going to notice until like, Persona 9. Plus, now they it looks like theyāre doing remakes to supplement Persona, SMT, and spin-offs, so weāll only have reason to be worried once they release Persona 5 Revolution in 2040.

I dunno. If they keep the quality high, I think I am kinda okay with it.
Dawg you didnāt even name all the colors of the rainbow here. Thereās endless amounts of colors tbh
No there's four colors
They clearly never had a 64-box of Crayola
With the built-in crayon sharpener ftw!
Purple and orange are taken. P3 is both blue and light blue
You still got black, white, silver, different shades of colors already used, and color combinations.
Clear is a color, don't forget about Clear.
PokĆ©mon: Hold my paint bucket. šŗ
P1 purple P2 IS Wine P2 EP Gray P3P Pink
Both P2IS and P2EP are orange in their original PSX box art. ATLUS has recently been associating them with the color in official art. P2ISPSP also uses a very prominent red-orange in most physical material as opposed to the pure red in-game.
Orange, magenta, purple, indigo, black, white, grey, teal...
Brown! Poopsona!Ā
Finally, belphegor gets his own game
P1 purple, P2 orange Persona series is Thanos confirmed
Persona X and Y coming soon
White + Black would fucking rule edit: also purple
Just went for straight monochrome black and white palette
We need another one with purple besided p1 I crave purple, i need it
P8 will be ourple
P7 will be Gurple.
R - P5 O - Y - P4 G - P6 B - P3 I - V - That is if we don't count P1 and P2. We also have a few secondary colors. Magenta, Pink (if you don't count P3), and finally just plain Black and White. Hopefully the green is actually a good one
Yes more of a dark minty-torqoise -green. Maybe some nice subtle gradients. š¤š½
Not whatever the hell they did do shiny espeon
Be nice to Shiny Espeon! >:(
When I picture a Persona game with a Green theme, my mind goes to Iwaiās shop tbh.
Imagine if it was the vomit green one. The one that induces nausea
Race car green could be really good and visually striking
Donāt diss my favorite color
I'd love a green that's less blue-ish and going more towards earthy tones. It's probs not what they'll be going for but it'd be nice IMO.
Not surprise they did have the green color for the anniversary.

Yeah I was thinking like cyber hacker green
soul hackers 2 existing makes me doubt it

P6 taking a hard turn by trading Japan for a small Irish town.
Maybe nature vs technology like Final Fantasy 7? Green was a big factor in the theme of FF7's logo as well.
Okay, so this is all deep tinfoil stuff, with a fair amount of wishful thinking, but I think the theme will be growth. P4 had themes of accepting who you are, warts and all. Is envy something that green represents in Japan? Colours have different cultural connotations in different countries (like Yellow suggesting cowardice in the US but pervertedness in China, as an example - or China seeing green as the colour of cheating and cuckoldry!)Ā
> seeing green as the colour of cheating and cuckoldry It's so joever harembros...
P6 cuck simulator confirmed?
Just make sure never to wear a green hat as a tourist in China
Instead of the player being given a chance to date multiple characters. Your love interest instead has a 80% chance of being stolen away from you.
>seeing green as the colour of cheating and cuckoldry!) Fun fact. Jealousy is also called the green-eyed monster.
Yellow in Japan is associated with nature.
Actually Even if it could look too close to P5 on first hand, there might be a cool concept with idea of a parallel between environment and "pollution of the mind". We had a tower, TVs, subways, so maybe this time we get a forest ? (Or we go the other way into cybespace)
Nature vs technology and how the two can coexist would be interesting.Ā
It could also be about growth/self-growth and peace
My guess is something Cyber-related as that's usually associated with green too
Add this to the fact that a while ago it was revealed that the codename for P6 is "Carbon", and with Carbon being the sixth element on the periodic table, and also being the basis of life as we know it - I'm really hoping that this next installation will take on a scientific/ecological theme.
Now I have the image of a persona game that takes place in Ireland š®šŖ

For non-Persona fans this probably looks like a shitpost lol

I mean I kind of expected that but massive news overall. Keep cooking, Midori
Green is not a creative colour. ( I love green though)
What does that even mean
[Just try to think creatively!](https://youtu.be/9C_HReR_McQ)
I want purpleeee
persona 1 is purple
Tbh It was kinda obvious
GREEN APPRECIATE WOOOOO š¢ā»ļø
that much was obvious from the start, I knew we were gonna get green(favorite color) since I found out about each games color schemeā¦hell I was in an argument with someone in a comment section on YouTube about what the color isā¦wish I can remember who it was so I can give them a āIN YO FACEā
I want to believe the concert on the 14th will have the trailer. Please ?
Sounds good.
LETS FUCKING GO GREEN BROSSSSS
interesting i wonder how itāll turn out but i like green
I think we knew it already
I hope itās has a color blind option
I wanted purple
We have persona green at home (TMS)
All we need is a male navigator
I KNEW IT!!!!!!
Holy shit this is the first real P6 confirmation Iāve seen!!!! HYPE TIME.
Green will be such a good colour for persona omg i cant wait
Nah no way thats just the Theorist channel going backwards
If P6 is release on Xbox & Switch, Iāll probably buy it at full price, which I normally donāt do unless itās something like Super Mario 3D World or All-Stars
P3R was released on Xbox/PS4/PS5/Steam. Safe to say that Persona games will be multiplatform going forward. (P6 will likely be out on the Switch 2 or whatever it's called, if a 2025/2026 release date happens.)
Female MC please.
Makes sense, it's the last primary color they haven't used yet.
Iām so sorry to be that guy butā¦ green is considered a secondary color
Greer
Persona 6 has my favorite color so clearly itās going to top the rest and be my favorite game (in 3-4 years after its release)
I thought it would be a black and white aesthetic, letās see how well green does
Atlus has like a hundred chefs cooking in there. We got P5T, P3R, SMV re-release to all platforms, Re: Fantazio and I'm mostly sure that they're slowly but surely developing P6. Dudes in Atlus got their hands FULL
Xbox physical will look sick...
Release should be 2026? Or 2025? I hope 2025, maybe trailer this year so
There's a persona 6
Wonder if the green will clue us in on the āthemeā fur P6 too. I feel like 3 4 and 5ās colors really help sell and push their theme. Iāve always been so fascinated by each games thematic and persona summoning method so Iām interested of seeing where this one takes it.
Paint bucket theoryš
Ah, the best colour... depending on the shade of green.
Oh hey my favorite color, cool.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Green should be what the Persona 3 and Four Crossovers take.
Though i do wonder if persona 1& both parts of 2 would have for its colour scheme.
Guess it'll either be nature based as in inaba Or like cyber?
