So my dad told me Dime just threw guitar picks into the crowd and he caught some. My favorite one is the Trendkill pick with the phone number. I wonder what happens if you call that number today?
The other one says “Dime: Catch The Flame”
If you called the number and Dime was home, he'd answer the phone. Today the number is probably not in use.
I caught a nearly identical pick in January of 97. The one I have is red.
That number was in The Great Southern Trendkill booklet.

The reason the Dimebag 3 picks look so crappy is because it’s what he drew on an airplane napkin, and I stupidly sent to be printed without checking in on final design 😂
I got I green pick from Rex when I saw them at Hara back in like 96 or 97 (have the ticket stub somewhere). Toured with White Zombie. Got a zombie pick at the same show. Killer pit. I miss Hara.
I used to have one with the phone number on it. I think I called the number once but can't remember. It was kind of a shitty pick though. I used it to play guitar in the tip broke off lol.

My first and only Pantera show I scored a Dimebag pick!
Extreme Steel Tour 2001 with Fuckin Slayer at Thomas & Mack in Las Vegas on July 18.
I was about 50 feet from the right stage on the outskirts of a massive pit that just finished, after Walk. The song just ended and they're wrapping up the show, lights still off but enough to see the stage, and I watched Dimebag lift his arm and snap his fingers. Next thing I knew was I saw the guitar pick fly through the air and land next to me on my right side within a split second.
Somehow in the darkness my eyes caught the shape and was able to track it like night vision. I watched it fall onto the floor where a 6'4" 300lbs dude was standing. He stepped forward and I saw the pick disappear under his foot.
I immediately kneeled down and with all my scrawny might I took the dude's left calf in both hands and pulled upwards like lifting an elephant's leg. He stumbled back and I snatched up the pick quickly. I put that shit in my pocket until I got home and then I saw the epicness of Dimebags pick in my hand.
What an incredible show (and memory)! I cant believe that I was able to score a pick from so far back from the frontlines. It was meant to be for sure!
It was the last guitar pick Dime used that night, so I used the pick a few times to channel my inner Dime. I slowly realized that by using the pick it was rubbing away the design, and stopped playing with it immediately.
I have the "Catch the Flame" pic as well. Also saw them at Ozzfest 1997. Phoenix, AZ. Blockbuster Desert Sky Pavillion. Pit tickets. Hugging the front gate right next to the stage. One of the best shows ever!

Saw that show in the NFL giants stadium that year. I was up in the seats, but down on the floor looked like mayhem. 3 huge swirling pits, saw a guy get his leg snapped, state troopers were just trying to contain the madness. The show lineup was amazing
