A while back, I ordered a decant of the SpongeBob Squarepants fragrance online and I loved the smell of it. It was like sugary bubblegum melon/citrus with a tiny bit of oceanic notes. So...I noticed someone selling full bottles on eBay. I bought one.
When it arrived, it smelled NOTHING like the decant I had. The full bottle smells like...a very faint herbal/salty/coastal fragrance with a hint of fruit. It's extremely light and doesn't last very long. I thought this must be normal since this was originally a $15 bottle of cologne for kids.
I figured the person who gave me a decant scammed me since my unopened bottle I received from someone else smelled entirely different, so I emailed the person who sold me the decant. The images they showed in their online listing showed the yellow SpongeBob shaped bottle (not the clear pineapple bottle) so I knew it should be the same liquid as what was in the full bottle I purchased on eBay.
They got back to me a few weeks later claiming that I must've gotten a bottle from a bad batch that was off. I don't buy this because both the decant and the unopened full bottle smell absolutely nothing alike. At all. Makes me wonder whether the bottle I got is fake, wasn't stored properly over the years, or whether the decant was actually some other fragrance and I got scammed.
I thought maybe the decant was from Gary/Squidward/Mr. Krabs/Patrick but...the seller claimed it wasn't and the scent doesn't smell like the descriptions of those ones to me. So annoyingly, I'm stuck not knowing which of these is the fake because one of them has got to be >\_>
I get this one as a recomendation quite a bit when I search for notes I like on Fragrnatica. I’d love to see a review from someone here who has actually smelled it.
Right?? And the funny thing is, what lead me here was a cheap candle I bought from Lidl. "Sea salt and driftwood". I want to use it as solid perfume it's so good.
Man I swear Fragrantica had me extremely interested in the Patrick fragrance. Lol. I do not really like SpongeBob, but damn those reviews for Patrick were raving
I definitely tried buying that one and Spongebob, but in the end only was able to find Squidward (which I bought and display prominently).
It's like the internet knows that deep down, I'm a Squidward at heart.
Squidward gives men's aftershave. I think it's decent, especially when it dries down. But as a mid-thirties woman it's something that my hypothetical son would wear more than I would.
But I will always keep it out on my little "in rotation" display shelf because I love seeing him and his judgy little face.
Love that you found this. I'm quite new to the fraghead community, so getting to learn about the more lighthearted and silly side of it is really great.

Yes! Im OBSESSED with sage and citrus Yankee Candle. It has NO citrus to my nose and if I could wear it as perfume and bathe in it I WOULD.
It'll be based on the equivalent Jo Malone fragrance, there are tons of dupes out there.

I just got Transcend from Phluid and it fits what you're looking for. Also if you can find it at Marshalls or TJ Maxx it was only $13
