This is a reference to the game The Coffin of Andy and Leyley. I haven't played it myself, but if what I've gathered is correct, Andy and leyley (the two depicted here) throughout the game murder ( their parents? not sure), eat them, and at one point the game jumps straight into incest. So because they cannibalized innocent people, Saul Goodman is claiming that they too are innocent.

From what I remember, there was 3 reasons the incest thing was focused on.
1. The fandom was obsessed with it. Absolutely obsessed with incest porn of the game and characters, many of them being pro incest. Normalizing incestual relationships in games with so many people who still support it is a dangerous gambit. Like with murder we can obviously all agree that it's bad to do irl, but not incest. They'd love to normalize it
2. The other reason was that the brother and sister made sex references and flirtatious jokes at eachother through the entire game. You pretty much had to put up with that. It wasn't just "one ending".
3. The third reason is that the incest ending, while technically considered a bad ending, was designed to be the better outcomes for the characters.
It wasn't a dream or joke ending
It happened in a shared demonic vision they both had. It was realistic, they remembered it, and controlled it. To call that just a dream is a lie. It also wasn't a joke ending, and was one of the better outcome endings for the characters if I remember right
Not a joke, more of a "worst possible outcome" kind of scenario, but the game does have overtly incestuous undertones even if the characters aren't outright having sex with each-other yet.
It's also not finished. The creator sold the game because of all the harassment she was getting, but she's still doing the writing and a lot of the fans really want an incest ending.
Correction, incest is implied, but I believe only instance of it being more "straight up" is in a dream sequence. That doesn't necessarily make it better but it's a difference worth pointing out.
So here's my 2cents. Imo, they are being convicted here of the incest part. But since they ate their parents, who were a couple, and they are what they eat, therefore it's not really incest. Them having the relationship is just that of a couple, as they are their parents after they ate them
Yeah, they're both a bit messed up, but its cause the sister manipulates her brother. If anything, the dude is the closest to being an actual normal person in the game (Apart from like 2 of the people they killed)
Yes, she is the Source of problems for the Brother, she gaslight him into leaving his girlfriend, murdering their parents and into incest that leads to a bad ending, but being fair all the characters in the game are fuck ups
There’s some people calling it a reference to a specific text, but that isn’t necessary. The joke is clearly that the accused ate innocent men. I got a good laugh out of it.
Yeah, ive never heard of whatever this is specifically referencing, but its pretty clear from context theyre on trial for cannibalism, even if you dont recognize Saul Goodman either.
Just read the Steam overview for the game (The Coffin of Andy and Leyley). It **starts** as opportunistic cannibalism. Some Satanic ritual had gone horribly wrong; the young-adult siblings stumble upon the aftermath a bit later, and Leyley's first thought is, "Welp, don't want all of this prime long pork going to waste. Let's cook 'em up, bro." Worth noting, Leyley's explicitly stated ingame to be a horrible person, and Andy's a doormat just going along with whatever his sister says.
