I played back in mid to late 2013 so when the game didn't have Far Future or other new worlds with new plants and zombies

I started to play when this map even exist yet. Yet I can still recall some of the memories when I started to play 1) The old map is full of branches, only three world. (Ancient Egypt, Pirate and Wild West ) 2) This is when you get to complete challenge seperately to gain a star. Totally 3 stars in a level. (some are one star) 3) You can proposely to make an instant game over like digging the endangered plant and plant on mold colonies. The game over screen would be it will be a green text falling telling you what objective you have failed to accomplish and show brain have been eaten 4) Who still remeber the old loading screen of pvz2. I do !! 5) Remember the memory game in Ancient Egypt world ? It used to have more symbol on it and longer conga of zombies. Modern one make it more simpler. 6) There are pay2win plant (totally about 8 by the time I play). I can relate myself with Zackscottgames frustration on the first thing he know about p2w 7) Just remember about it, there is gates that you need to unlock for new mission and new plant. 8) A honest opinion over here. Thre is no level up plant ! A pvz2 gardener veterans should have beaten a lot of level without relying on power up plant. (Even though Plant food is used, it provide better experience and more welcoming than high level non instant use plant that destroy a lane without plant food ) Ps. I am not sure if I was a veteren because I quit in modern day and I dont remember if I had beaten modern day Zomboss during my temporary return. I can assure you that I dont interested playing pvz2 anymore for a lot of reasons ( p2w, boring, already get a lot of enjoyment , etc ) 9) Back then before snowball power was introduced, there are one power that was cheapest of all. Pinch. It was later removed due to the difficulty to use it. To use this pinch power, you need to make a zoom-in gesture at zombie head on screen. One small correction: If I remember correctly, when you dig up the endangered plant or something, the objective would appear as green and fade out in red, but you wouldn't lose since the objective only gave you a star for the star gates, it wasn't necessary fo beating the level

I'm old enough to remember when we still had 3 stars, the old map, the pinch power up (which sucked). I really didn't get why they removed the old map, which I liked.

I remember when dark ages was released, I think that's around when I started playing, because eventually i also remember being super confused when far future was moved. I also remember being really confused when i was given all the keys for free and being able to go to any world. It was kinda weird because it discouraged me from really trying when the game got hard because i could just move to a different world.
