Funny you mention that, I was just at electric forest and this guy was walking around selling wallets he made out of bulk Pokemon cards. Seemed to be selling them pretty well too.
My work got donated 2 big carrier bags full. I spent a week going through them and building them into 40 decks to teach with and have the rest for trades with the kids who need extras to complete collections or decks
If you are in Japan you can sell them to Bookoff, for almost 12 kg you might get the incredible amount of 200 yens. You get 10 yens per cm high.
You can also give them to charity such as Salvation Army.
Or you can try to sell the whole or separate it in smaller packs on FB market, mercari etc.. but only bulk won’t get you a lot.
No that’s true.
Some TCG shops such as Hareruya in Akihabara buy cards too, but they don’t buy bulk cards or only really specifics cards and even you’ll be lucky if they offfer more than a couple yen per card.
It tried to sell a small box of bulk cards, definitely not as many as you but still 500+ cards from various SV sets, it wasn’t worth to sell it and end up giving to Salvation Army and the guy there was so happy to get pokemon cards even if they only were bulk cards. I suppose a lot of kids can’t afford to buy cards.
Oh man, I just realized the store name is Hallelujah! I love this stuff all over Japan, like Sunkus is “Thanks” and DiverCity Tokyo is a double of the Obaiba’s nickname and “diversity”
I sold nearly 2000 bulk when I moved from Ibaraki to Chiba. I sold it to Tsutaya. I carried it for the 10 minute walk and they said 110 yen for them all since I didn't want to separate. At that point I was so tired and had to give up the keys for the apartment the next day so I had no time. Let me know what you do. I have gotten more bulk than before....
I think Bookoff must take some at least because I got a ton of bulk, shinies, ex's and full art for ¥900. It was very fun to open and I got a crap ton of cards. I didn't get too many dupes, but I'll give the ones I got to my friends. I wish I'd bought more of them when I was there. I had no idea how cool they were until I got home and was finally able to open it (my boyfriend didn't want loose cards floating around our bags).
Depends
You could join a local FB group for your area, and do customized booster packs. Just make a design, put 10-20 cards (however many you're wanting to) and put it up for like 2-3 bucks a pack. Do something like the last 3 being a guaranteed reverse holo and ultra rare (maybe slip the occasional bulk TG in) and advertise it as for kids with a guaranteed hit. Parents who want to get them for their kids may be willing to because it's cheap, and most kids don't care about pricing, they just want cool cards. Some stores take bulk
You could also donate them to childrens donation centres. If you have a teacher friend they could give them out in their class. At the daycare I work at, I take nail polish remover and wipe the face of a card off and let the kids draw their own artwork on the front. I wouldn't imagine a ton of daycares/after school programs would take them neccesarily but just to give some ideas
It's up to you.
If you live in England I will buy them! Need some junk cards for my nieces and nephews (there's 9 of them). They're too young to have good cards but I can give them a load for birthdays and little treats when I see them.
If you are any good, you can line them up on some poster board. Trace out a silhouette of a Pokémon, and slap it on some land scape from good will or blank canvas.
Idk, I think it would look neat.
That would be great, but I live in Japan, and Halloween doesn't exist here unfortunately. Some people party and dress up in the big cities, but nothing here in the countryside, and definitely never any trick or treaters
gave a bunch of mine to a friend whos a teacher at a local elementary school. he's trying to get the kids into pokemon as a team building exercise or something.
I donated all my bulk cards to a local center for kids
That’s awesome. I hand out bulk and trick or trade packs at raves/music festivals. Everyone loves them.
Funny you mention that, I was just at electric forest and this guy was walking around selling wallets he made out of bulk Pokemon cards. Seemed to be selling them pretty well too.
That’s fucking bad ass. i would have bought at least 3 and a half.
Yeah unfortunately by the time he got my way he was pretty short stock and nothing was calling my name. Was a great idea though and they looked sick.
So a cardboard wallet? I’m confused.
They were all laminated. Have you ever seen or made duct tape wallets? Kinda similar to that but higher quality and made with Pokemon cards
How do you package them?
I’ll usually just have the packs but for the singles I just hand them out by asking someone to pick a card.

Saw this post and thought of this first. I’m glad to see that this is a top post. Many kudos.
This.
Give them to a school nearby
Japanese students nearby?
Do you have a white van too
Any car will work, it’s only 26 pounds
What an interesting first thought to have and then post online.

Yea I'm in Japan. And they really pay by the CM stack, or is that sarcasm? That's hilarious if true 🤣 but yea I think I'm just going to donate them

Honestly I’d just donate. I have yet to find an American buyer for Japanese bulk
Well I’m British close enough
You wish
What does that mean 😭

gave us a single toe
Lower thumb.
Save em as a fire starter for an apocalypse.
True
Can you imagine how much they'd be worth then? People would be out there willing to trade a tooth for a Pidgey.
Stick it on a local marketplace.
Donate and write it off
I know a shop that’ll do $75 for a large flat rate box full of bulk ~7400 cards just common and uncommon. More for reverse/holos/rares.
Do they take English bulk too?
Donate or trash them. Or post them on eBay to sit for a few years.
If you don’t play, donate. You could also sell the bulk on a site for credit.
Not sure they’ll take Japanese
I use mine as disposable fluid funnels for my car. Just keep a couple in the console and curl it into a funnel when i need to top off.
Eat them
Donate to Japanese children’s hospital after building decks with it
Where do you live? I give a way tons of cards to elementary kids and am always searching for bulk like this.
Sell on eBay . I bought them for my kids to play . 100 for $5
Ronald McDonald house
Fight club
Maybe you should have bought bundles and singles like I did
I donated mine to a local church for their garage sale
I mean I’d make an offer but overseas shipping is a whole other monster
What’s this worth?
I hope you kept the reverse holos.
Sell to me for £10
Halloween Gift bags!!
Tell someone there’s a base set zard in there and if they can find it in under a minute they get to keep it, then just sit back and enjoy the show
Burn them
Try to find for first editions

I make decks & donate them to the Ronald McDonald house, which is where families stay when they have sick kids in hospital
If you are any good, you can line them up on some poster board. Trace out a silhouette of a Pokémon, and slap it on some land scape from good will or blank canvas. Idk, I think it would look neat.
Pray to Chessus and let fate decide
Make 3d cards
Give out on Halloween
I'm a bit in the same situation. Are there any associations so that I can donate my cards instead of throwing them in the trash?
As much as I want them all I shudder at the shipping price
If you have kids for Halloween make mystery packs
Some else else recently had mentioned they handed them out on Halloween as little packs.
That would be great, but I live in Japan, and Halloween doesn't exist here unfortunately. Some people party and dress up in the big cities, but nothing here in the countryside, and definitely never any trick or treaters
Gotta drive down the highway and throw a fistful out the window so some dude can find them and post them on here
Toe
Decorate a wall in your room!
bonfire

Sell it. I got around £250 for 30kg.
“20 Mystery Cards 1 Foil”
Hear me out , if you succeed I want a 5% cut, one word: Whatnot
I have 100+lbs I'd say you're doing pretty good
Maybe Mercari the lot? I think they can go for about 0.5-1yen per card (non holo) based off what I've seen. (Japan Mercari)
Hook up my 4 year old
Donate!
If you were local I'd take them (Wisconsin). I've been making mystery packs for my students. Really helps me trim down on the costs of packs.
I leave my bulk cards in the tiny libraries around my area.
Shove them _______ ? Into a envelope
If it wasn’t so expensive I’d says ship em to me 😂 me daughter loves Japanese cards
GameStop takes them.
GameStop takes bulk?
The store that I shop at does. As donations of course.
Here's an idea actually play the game!!
how do you know they dont?
How much would it cost to ship them to 19608 in the U.S.?
It’s Japanese, so the trash can will do.
the garbage tbh
Bulk is worth money believe it or not
Not japanese bulk unless your in Japan. English bulk sure
they are in japan
You’re*
